I have loved making cards ever since I was a young girl. Little did I know when I was making cards with paper, paint, crayons and even mum's lace and sequin supplies that I would keep enjoying this hobby later in life. The cardmaking/papercrafting women and men all over the world are absolutely inspirational and have created this great community which I'm lucky to be a part of.

Altenew Dahlias Birthday Card

This month seems to be flying by…I have been making cards as always but somehow have not been able to find the time to share them…the card I am sharing with you today uses the Altenew Craft-a-flower Dahlia die set to create the beautiful layered flowers as the main focus of my card..

Using the Altenew Gradient Cardstock packs – Summer Afternoon for the flowers and Green Meadows set for the leaves, I die cut the various layers and glued them together using liquid glue and set them aside..

On a plain yellow front panel, I randomly stamped the outline flowers from the Altenew Dahlia Blossoms stamp set with Chamomile ink and then adhered it to the plain white card base…I then added all the leaves and flowers to the card front..

On a layered yellow cardstock label, I stamped the sentiment using Paper bag crisp ink…the sentiment is from Altenew Just Jasmine stamp set…and finally to embellish my card, I have used the orange marmalade Nuvo jewel drops..

Thank you for taking the time to view my creation…hope you will have a happy and crafty day ahead..

Three Amigos Slimline Birthday Card

Today I’m sharing a bright and colourful slimline birthday card using Mama Elephant stamps and dies…this card was almost going to be a shaker card…almost..but I decided not to at the last minute…

I started by stamping the little critters from Mama Elephant Three Amigos stamp set and coloured them using alcohol markers…I die cut these images using the coordinating dies and stamped the sentiments on the signs each one of the critters if holding…I also applied a bit of Nuvo glaze on the signs and set these aside to dry while I assembled the rest of the card…

Using the Slim Card Basics dies from Mama Elephant, I die cut the two panels which I will layer on the front of my card…I used ripe persimmon and wilted violet Oxide inks on the scalloped layer and salty ocean and blueprint sketch to the top panel..

I assembled all the elements of my card on a plain white card base and added some rhinestones and tiny pink star sequins to embellish it..

So happy you stopped by my blog today…thank you…hope you will have a beautiful and blessed day ahead..!!

Unicorns And Hedgehogs Birthday Slimline Cards

After making a couple of tall slimline cards, I decided to make long/landscape ones…for the cards I’m sharing today, I pulled out a couple of my favourite sets from MFT stamps..

For my first card I choset the MFT Magical Unicorns stamp set and stamped all the images, coloured them with alcohol markers and set them aside…I then placed the MFT Starry Sky stencil on the front panel of my card and applied some iridescent Gina K Glitz glitter gel and let it dry for a few minutes…

I die cut the clouds using Mama Elephant Slimline Card Basics and applied some salty Ocean Oxide ink on the edges before adhering them to the front panel…I also added a rainbow behind the clouds which I die cut using MFT Rainbow Whimsy die and coloured in with alcohol markers…

I added all the unicorns to the card front and added a die cut stitched frame as well…the sentiment is from MFT Label Maker Sentiments stamp set and has been heat embossed using Ranger magenta embossing powder…

I chose the MFT Happy Hedgehogs stamp set for my second card…once all the images were stamped, coloured in and die cut – I started on the ink blending for my background panel…I used the following Oxide inks – Fossilized Amber, Mustard Seed and Ripe Persimmon..

Using a couple of shades of green cardstock, I die cut and added the ‘ground’ where all my hedgehogs would be sitting….after adding the hedgehogs, I added some mushrooms and foliage to the scene…the foliage is from MFT Beautiful Blooms stamp set….

I stamped the sentiment from MFT Make A Wish stamp set directly on the front panel and added some black Nuvo Drops to embellish it..

Thanks heaps for taking the time to view today’s blog post…hope you will have a happy and blessed day ahead!!

Pots And Plants Birthday Card

The card I’m sharing today has some beautiful die cut plants and plant pots from the Dimensional Botanicals dies by Sizzix Thinlits….I have used Altenew Watercolor brush markers to colour in all the die cuts…

To create the background for the front panel of my card, I covered it by sponging it with Distress Inks… I have used spun sugar and work lipstick distress inks and splattered some water and some black paint for effect…

I adhered the front panel to the card base and then added the die cut and coloured plants…I stamped the sentiment from Sizzix Birthday stamp set and added it to the card as well…and finally to embellish my card I have used some clear sequins..

I’m thankful you stopped by my blog today…hope you’ll have a happy and crafty day ahead.!!

Rockstar Guitar

These two cool guitar cards I’m sharing today were quick to make once I had the main guitar images coloured and die cut….the guitar image is from the Music Speaks stamp set by Honey Bee Stamps

I used Distress Oxide Inks and Flames stencil Honey Bee Stamps to create the background for my first card…I added the die cut image and then stamped the sentiment form Rockstar Sentiments stamp set…to embellish my card I have used a few black Nuvo drops…

To create the background of my second card, I stamped the keyboard image repeatedly on the front panel and then added the guitar image…I stamped the sentiment on a red label and adhered it to the card as well…

Thanks for stopping by my blog today…hope you will have a wonderful and happy day ahead…!!

Dragons Birthday Wishes

I’ve started trying out the very popular slimline cards these days…and I am still unsure about which size I prefer to use…the previous card I shared was 3.5″ x 8.5″ and today’s card is 3 5/8″ x 8 5/8″…

I started by stamping all the dragon images from Dragon Wishes and Me And My Dragon stamp sets from Mama Elephant…once coloured in, I die cut them all using the coordinating dies..

I die cut the front panel of my card using the scalloped edge die from Mama Elephant Slim Card Basics die set and used Distress Oxide inks to create the ink blended background…I also splattered some water on it for effect before adhering it to the card base…

I die cut the speech bubbles using the dies in the Slim Card Basics die set and stamped the sentiments on them which are from the Mama Elephant Stackable Friends stamp set…I adhered all the images and speech bubbles on the card front and added some jewels to embellish my card…

Thank you for taking out the time to view my blog post today….hope you will have a happy and crafty day ahead…happy crafting..!!

Slimline Floral Anniversary Card

I made this card for my lovely friend who has her anniversary today…the main focus of this card are the beautifully etched flowers from the Altenew Engraved Flowers stamp set..

I stamped all the images onto a coloured cardstock using watermark ink and then heat embossed them using Altenew Antique Gold embossing powder…I die cut these images using the coordinating dies and adhered them to the front panel using adhesive foam for a bit of dimension…

On a thin strip of black cardstock, I stamped and gold heat embossed the sentiment and layered it with a red cardstock before adhering it to the card front..and finally to embellish my card I have added a few jewels…

Thank you for stopping by my blog today…hope you will have a happy and blessed day ahead..!!

Butterflies & Glitter Birthday Cards

Instead of ink blending backgrounds, I used coloured cardstock to create these two quick birthday cards that I’m sharing with you today..

I first cut two different coloured cardstock to size for the front panel and then applied Gina K Glitz Glitter Gel on top of the Gina K Sunspots Stencil..I set these panels aside to dry and started on the stamped elements of my cards..

Using Altenew crisp dye inks, I stamped two sets of butterflies from the Papillon stamps set by The Stamp Market…the sentiment for my cards is from Altenew Label Love stamp set…

Thanks heaps for stopping by today…have a happy and creative day ahead..

Torch Ginger Birthday Card

When I saw the Altenew Torch Ginger flower stamps for the first time, I actually thought they were the Australian native flowers we know here as the Waratah

I first stamped the Altenew build-a-flower Torch ginger using crisp dye inks rouge crimson, ruby and red velvet for the flowers and bamboo, grass field, just green for the leaves…I die cut these flowers using the coordinating dies…

I sponged some Distress Oxide inks on a white panel and splattered some water for effect…I used the Altenew Window Sphere Die on the front panel to create a bit of interest and added a black cardstock behind it before adhering it to the card base..

I added the flowers and leaves to the card front and then added the stamped sentiment strips ( Altenew Birthday Builder stamp set)..I added a few blue jewels to embellish my card..
