I have loved making cards ever since I was a young girl. Little did I know when I was making cards with paper, paint, crayons and even mum's lace and sequin supplies that I would keep enjoying this hobby later in life. The cardmaking/papercrafting women and men all over the world are absolutely inspirational and have created this great community which I'm lucky to be a part of.

Inspired By Yana Smakula

The cards I’m sharing with you today have been inspired by wonderfully talented Yana Smakula‘s beautiful cards that she makes using various Hero Arts Heroscape stamp sets…

For my first card I have used the Hero Arts Beach Heroscape stamp set with Altenew crisp dye inks to stamp all the images and then die cut them using the coordinating dies…I created the beach and sky background on the front panel using Distress Oxide inks and then adhered all the die cut elements on it…I stamped the sentiment and added a few clear sequins to embellish my card…

For my second card, I used the Hero Arts Color Layering Mountains At The Lake with the Hero Arts Beach Heroscape stamp set and then completed this card pretty much the same way as the first one…

I’m so thankful you stopped by my blog today..hope you will have a happy and blessed day ahead..!!

Soft Pastel Flowers Cards

Today I’m sharing 3 cards that I have made using soft coloured inks for stamping the Vase Fillers stamps by Altenew…

I started by choosing some light coloured crisp dye inks from Altenew and stamped all the images on white cardstock…I then die cut them all using the coordinating dies..

I picked three different cardstock colours from Gina K Designs Premium Cardstock for the front panels of my card and arranged all the die cuts on these front panels…

Then using the Altenew Classic Alphabet dies, I die cut a few large alphabets using black cardstock and adhered it above the die cut flowers…I also added a small stamped sentiment strip next to these…

To embellish my cards I have added a few black Nuvo drops…

Thanks heaps for stopping by my blog today…hope you will have a beautiful day ahead…happy crafting..!!

Two Bright And Cheerful Cards

I have been making quite a few floral cards this past month so I thought to change things up a bit and reached for a few cute critter images from Pretty Pink Posh for today’s cards…

I die cut two frames using the Pretty Pink Posh Tropical Frame Die and randomly applied some Pinkfresh Studio Liquid Watercolours and set them aside to dry..

For my first card I stamped and heat embossed the images from Pretty Pink Posh Hedgehog Friends…I coloured the images with alcohol markers and die cut them using the coordinating dies…

I stamped and die cut the sentiment using the Besties stamp set from Simon Says Stamp+CZ Designs ..I adhered a dark blue panel to my card base and started adding all the elements to my card..I also added a few small die cut hearts instead of embellishments…

For my second card, I kept my card design the same as my first card but chose the cute lion in a gift box image from Pretty Pink Posh Party Friends stamp set..the sentiment used in this card is from Pretty Pink Posh Birthday Friends stamp set..

I used a light blue background panel for this card as it helped pop the lion image..I adhered the tropical frame to the card and have used a few clear confetti sequins to embellish it…

I’m thankful you chose to stop by my blog today…hope you will have a wonderful day ahead…happy crafting..!!

Gold Flower Card

How much gold is too much gold??

Well, I went all out with this card and created the large 3D flower out of gold and gold glitter cardstock…I had to really hold myself back and not splatter gold paint on the background panel…that would’ve been wayyy too much..!!

Once I had die cut and assembled the Altenew Peony Dream 3D flower, I set it aside…I used a moss green cardstock for my front panel on which I have sponged in the edges with mowed lawn and forest moss Distress Inks…I also used the Altenew Dotted Swirls debossing cover die for a subtle pattern in the background…

I adhered the flower to the front panel and then gold heat embossed a sentiment from the Altenew Sentiment Strips stamp set on a thin black cardstock strip and added it to the card using some black adhesive foam strips..and finally to embellish my card I have used some black Nuvo Drops..

I hope you didn’t have to shut your eyes as soon as you looked at my card today….ha ha…thank you for taking the time to visit my blog today…have a happy and crafty day ahead..

I Can’t Thank You Enough

I always get very impressed with cardmakers who are amazing at watercolouring and add some wonderful watercolour effects and elements on their cards…but when trying out watercolours myself, I am quite happy if I get something which is not a big brown blob..ha ha

I started my card panel by white heat embossing the large flower image from Simon Says Stamp Thankful flowers stamp set on watercolour cardstock….

I coloured in the images using Altenew Watercolor Brush Markers and applied a bit of liquid pixie dust(ink-on-3 product) for a bit of shine on the flowers and leaves…I also applied a light wash of colour and black ink splatters on the uncoloured parts of the front panel…

I adhered the panel to my card base and added a white heat embossed sentiment strip….I also added a few sequins to embellish my card…

Thanks so much for taking the time to visit my blog…hope you will have a happy and crafty day ahead..!!

I adhered 3 thin strips on one edge of the front panel – a green cardstock strip, an Altenew gold washi tape strip and a dark pink glitter cardstock strip…I stamped the sentiment from Altenew Birthday Builder stamp set and added a few green jewels to embellish my card…

It’s Plane To See: You’re Amazing!

There are not many planes flying around the world these days…but in our crafting world we can imagine anything from dragons to aliens – and even planes…

The card I’m sharing today is a simple one using the MFT Sky High stamp and die set…I first used the MFT mini cloud stencil and some tumbled glass and salty ocean Distress Inks to create the cloudy background on a white panel and then used the Lawn Fawn Just Stitching rectangle die to create a border around the front panel before adhering it to the card base..

On a separate piece of cardstock, I stamped the plane and birds image and coloured them in using alcohol markers..I die cut these images and placed them onto my card front…I also adhered the stamped sentiment strip and well as a few jewels..

Thank you for stopping by today…hope you will have a wonderful day ahead..
