Yeti Christmas!

I’m sharing two slimline Christmas cards today…both feature the MFT Die-namics Christmas Lights with the Beast Friends stamp set…I like how the Christmas Lights die set fills up the card front quite easily and looks great too…

I used Distress Oxide inks on a green cardstock front panel for my first card….I splattered some water and some silver paint for effect and then added the die cut elements and the stamped and coloured in images…the sentiment is from a Taylored Expression stamp set called Simple Strips – Christmas..

My second card is much simpler…I added the die cut Chirstmas lights to a black front panel and then added the Yeti image…I stamped the sentiment in black and red ink and then added some rhinestones to embellish my card…the sentiment I have used is from the Merry & Bright stamp set by MFT…

Pretty Poinsettias Christmas Cards

My favorite die set for Christmas cards this year has been the Poinsettia 3D die set by Altenew…I have made so many cards with this die…for a couple of cards I used coloured cardstock to simply die cut and put together and for others, I chose to watercolour the die cuts…

All my cards have a stripy backgrounds which I chose to provide a bit of interest but at the same time to make the poinsettia flowers stand out on my cards…

I have used Distress Inks and Oxide Inks to colour in the background stripes for these two cards…I heat embossed the sentiment on black cardstock using Altenew Antique Gold embossing powder and then die cut it out using the Featured Sentiments die set…to embellish these cards I have added a few gold confetti sequins..

Now these next two cards were fun and quick to make…once I had the 3D die cut elements coloured using the Altenew Watercolor brush markers, I splattered some white paint on them for effect….I used dark green front panels for the background and to add interest, I simply painted a few stripes using some gold watercolour and a wide brush..

I put the flowers together and adhered them to the card front and then added the gold heat embossed sentiment which is from Clearly Besotted Happy Everything stamp set..

I’m happy you stopped by my blog today….hope you will have a happy and blessed day!

Cards For Old Friends!

Friends who stick by you for a lifetime and get/share/willingly suffer your sense of humour without ever taking offence are the best kind of friends I think…and this is exactly what I was thinking when I was making this set of cards using the MFT BB Old Friends stamp set…

Once all the images from the stamp set were stamped and coloured in, I die cut them using the coordinating dies and started creating the various backgrounds on the front panel of my cards…for this first card I have used the Pinkfresh Studio Pop Out Nested Diamond stamp set and inks..

For my second card, I have used spun sugar Distress Ink with MFT Window Panes stencil..

My third card uses Distress Oxide inks with the Triangles stencil by Pretty Pink Posh on a coloured cardstock front panel…

And for my last card, I used the Lawn Fawn Woodgrain Backdrop die and inked the edges with some tea dye Distress Ink..

I created the background for both the cards using Dixtress Oxide inks on coloured cardstock front panels…for the Daisy card, I die cut all the layers of flowers and leaves and coloured them in using Altenew watercolor brush markers and once dry I glued them and placed them on my card front…

For the tulip card, I used various Altenew gradient cardstock sets to die cut the various layers and then added them to the cad front…the sentiments on both are are from the Altenew Birthday Builder stamp set..

On a separate piece of white cardstock, I stamped the layering flowers and leaves from Altenew Nature Blossoms stamp set using the following Altenew crisp inks -chamomile, snapdragon, marigold , crimson, firefly, grass field and shadow creek…I then die cut these images using the coordinating dies and placed them on my card front…

Father’s Day Cards

I had made a few simple Father’s Day cards for this year…Father’s Day in Australia was this past Sunday and luckily for where we are, the weather was great and we were able to enjoy a beautiful spring afternoon…

The main element of all my cards is the shirt die from Workers Big Guys – Dressed to Impress which I used with a few different 6×6 printed paper stacks by MFT, DCWV etc…

For the background of two of my cards, I used the Taylored Expressions square windows stencil and for the other card I used Altenew plaid cover die…

The sentiments on these cards are from Avery Elle and Lawn Fawn stamp sets..

Bird, Flowers And Leaves – 3 Altenew Slimline Birthday Cards

Trying out slimline cards these days has been great, especially as I have been able to use my favourite stamp sets yet again to create unique cards…the cards I’m sharing today use various Altenew stamp and die sets and didn’t take too long to make..

I stamped the Altenew Bird Of Paradise stamp set on a piece of watercolour cardstock and used the following Altenew Watercolor Brush Markers to colour them in – sweet leaf and lime for the leaves and fresh lemon and sunkissed for the flower…

I die cut the front panel from black cardstock and splattered citrine Altenew metallic watercolor all over…I stamped the sentiment from Floral Frame stamp set and heat embossed it using an Orange embossing powder from Ranger and then die cut using Apothecary labels die…I layered the sentiment label with a larger die cut from white cardstock….I adhered all the elements to the card front and added a few rhinestones to embellish it..

For my second card, I first used the Feeling Dotty stencil on the background panel and then added the stamped leaf springs from Fragile Foliage randomly all over the card front…I have added an extra layer of die cut under the stamped images to give a bit of support as the die cut was quite thin and adding foam tape for dimension wouldn’t have worked for this image..

I stamped the sentiment from Birds Of A Feather on a black strip and used gold glitter embossing powder to heat emboss it…I also added a little bird image to the card front and some green rhinestones to embellish it…

For my third card, I first created the background on the front panel using Simon Says Stamp Solar Burst Stencil with Distress Oxide inks…

I used Altenew Stunning Cosmos Stamp set and heat embossed the images using the Altenew Antique Gold embossing powder…I coloured them in by simply swishing them on a watecolour that I sprayed on my craft mat…once dry, I adhered these flowers onto the card using foam squares…

I die cut a vellum circle and used the Hello And Hugs set for the sentiment…and to embellish my card I have used gold Nuvo drops..

I hope you liked the cards I shared with you today…thank you for taking the time to stop by my blog…hope you will have a happy and crafty day ahead..!!

Pink Peonies Slimline Birthday Card

I love Altenew 3D dies…mostly because they don’t need to be coloured in… for every stamped image I colour in, I still ruin one…mostly due to impatience…ha ha..drawing and colouring is definitely not my forte..

For today’s card, I die cut all the elements from Altenew Peony Dream 3D die using watercolor cardstock and used the Altenew Watercolor Brush Markers to colour in all the layers….once dry, I glued all the layers for the flowers and leaves and also splattered some white gouache for effect…

I cut the background panel to size for the slimline card and used the Altenew Ink Blending Tool and a few Distress Inks to create the background…I placed all the flowers and leaves on the card front and stamped the sentiment from Altenew Candlelight stamp set on a white label and layered it with a blue cardstock before adhering it to the card front…

Thank you for taking the time to view my card today…Hope you will have a wonderful and blessed day ahead…

I stamped the sentiment on a white strip of cardstock and layered it with some silver glitter cardstock and added it to my card front…I added some star sequins to embellish my card..

Birthday Cake And Koala

Today I’m sharing a bright and colourful birthday card…I stated with the idea that I wanted to make a cute card with lots of shiny and shimmery elements…

I first stamped and coloured in the Koala and cake image from Pretty Pink Posh stamp set called Party friends…I die cut the image using the coordinating dies and set it aside…

I then die cut the Spring Frame by Pretty Pink Posh from watercolour cardstock and then sprinkled various Nuvo Shimmer Powders on it and spritzed water on it for the colours to activate…I dabbed all the excess water with a paper towel and then used my heat gun to dry this frame…

I chose a bright blue glitter cardstock for the front panel of my card and then adhered the die cut frame to it…I also added the die cut image and a small label for the sentiment…

Thank you so much for stopping by…hope you will have a happy day ahead..!!
