Altenew January Inspiration Challenge

It was a great idea to take part in challenges to get going on my cardmaking for this year…today’s card is for the Altenew January Inspiration Challenge…I really love the colour combination for this month and wanted to make a card with a stamped sentiment background like I have seen Jennifer Mcguire create so many times…

I have used the latest Altenew Birthday Builder stamp set for my card and didn’t want this one to have too many floral images…I really want to create another card using this month’s inspiration image but am not sure if I will be able to do so in time for the challenge…
I started by sponging some Altenew fresh lemon dye ink on a white cardstock panel…I then laid out all the stamps that said ‘birthday’ from the birthday builder stamp set on my MISTI and then stamped them onto my panel using autumn blaze dye ink…then to add a bit of interest to my card,I cut the panel at an angle from the bottom and added a printed orange cardstock…and finally I used a large cross stitched rectangle die to remove the excess and create a neat panel which I adhered to a plain white card base…

I die cut the word ‘happy’ using the inline alpha die from white glitter cardstock as well as two times from plain pink cardstock…I layered them and adhered them on my card…I stamped the word birthday on a white label and adhered it below the word happy using some adhesive foam…
I stamped the small flower bunch from Build-a-flower Rose stamp set three times on pink card using pinkalicious crisp ink and then die cut those and placed them on my card…I then covered a white panel with some bamboo dye ink and die cut the leaves using the Floral 3D die set and placed them on my card as well…
To embellish my card I have used some white Nuvo drops…

The Altenew Birthday Builder stamp set I have used in this card has ‘Happy’ & ‘Birthday’ written in 18 different fonts which can also be mixed and matched…and since birthday cards are what most of us need all year round, I really think this is a great set to own..

Thank you so much for visiting my blog today…Hope you will have a great day ahead….!!

I’m Thinking Of You Today – Spotlight Stamping For TFC#16

The card I’m sharing today is my take on ‘Spotlight Stamping’ which is the challenge for January at The Flower Challenge blog…I created three windows on the front panel through which you can see the coloured in images…the images on this top panel are not coloured in and so the focus goes straight to the gold coloured flowers inside the windows..

Me And My Daily Papercraft Blog - Handmade By Pri
You could also participate in this challenge by clicking here – TFC#16
I started by laying out my stamps on my MISTI so that they stamp just a half panel(except the large flower in the center)…this way I could rotate the panel 180 degrees and stamp the images on the other half easily…I created two panels this way….one stamped with black ink and the second one with picked raspberry Distress Oxide ink…
Me And My Daily Papercraft Blog - Handmade By Pri
I then used double pierced rectangle dies to create the three windows as well as the border of the front panel…on the base panel,I coloured in the flower images using gold watercolor and added some gold dots as well as a few pink die cut centers for the flowers….I then adhered this panel to a white card base…

On the back of the top panel,I added some adhesive foam strips and then placed it on the card front…I stamped the sentiment on a large die cut banner and used some more adhesive foam to place it on the card front…they don’t make much of a difference but I have added some clear Nuvo drops to embellish my card…

Thanks From The Bottom Of My Heart

The card I’m sharing today is my entry for Time Out Challenge #100…I took a longer blog break than I had intended and that was mostly because I had a sort of a ‘blank’ when I started crafting  again…I saw many videos and tutorials but still was unable to come up with a workable card idea…and finally the only thing that worked was creating cards for a few different challenges…here is the first one…

Me And My Daily Papercraft Blog - Handmade By Pri
For this challenge we were asked what we were thankful for…I am really thankful for the awesome support and positive encouragement that I receive from family and friends(this includes all my online crafty friends)…I am also very thankful for all the wonderful crafters who love to share their knowledge and skill with everyone who wants to learn….
This card didn’t take too long to create once I had the idea and the simple layout planned…I used Distress Inks to cover the background panel and then embossed it with the quilted embossing folder…I have used spiced marmalade, mustard seed and squeezed lemonade shades of ink here…I adhered this panel to the front of a plain black card base…

Me And My Daily Papercraft Blog - Handmade By Pri

Using a thick black cardstock,I die cut the damask pattern and placed it on the card front…the sentiment and a few hearts were stamped on a separate piece of white cardstock, cut out and then adhered to the card front using adhesive foam of various thickness…and finally I have used clear confetti sequins to embellish my card…

Thank you so much for taking the time to stop by my blog today…hope you will have a very happy and blessed day ahead..!!

Hello There

Hello friends…hope you’ve all had a wonderful time over the holidays and have had a great start to 2018…hope this year brings you lots of happiness and memorable times…I have not been able to craft much at all since Christmas so it will take me a bit longer than planned to post on my blog….there are a couple of challenges on a few blogs that I want to participate in so I should probably start there… 🙂

Today I’m sharing the only card I have been able to create for my blog …I started with creating a base from a textured orange cardstock and rounded all four edges of the card…I then rounded the edges of a plain black cardstock layer and adhered it to a silver foil die cut rectangle layer before placing them on the card front…
Me And My Daily Papercraft Blog - Handmade By Pri
On a separate piece of watercolour cardstock I stamped the flower and leaf images using Versafine black ink and the heat embossed them all using clear embossing powder…I coloured the images using Crayola Fine Line markers and a water brush and once dry,I die cut them with the coordinating dies…
Me And My Daily Papercraft Blog - Handmade By Pri

Once I was happy with the placement of all the flowers and leaf,I used the Glad Press’nSeal wrap to keep everything in place while I was gluing them to the silver foil layer…I think it’s a great product for crafting…here is a video by Laurie Wilson where she uses the Press’nSeal for her card layout..

I added the sentiment stamped on a strip of orange cardstock and placed it just above the flowers and to embellish my card I have used some Nuvo jewel drops..

So happy you stopped by my blog today…hopefully I will have some more projects to share with you soon…Have a happy and crafty day ahead..!!

Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas – Pop Up Box Card & Little Girl With A Big Gift

Merry Christmas and thank you for visiting my blog today…hope you and your family & loved ones have a lot of  happy times this holiday season…the cards I’m sharing today are my personal favorites…the box card took a while to plan and create but it was absolutely worth the effort…and I just love the little girl on my second card…

Me And My Daily Papercraft Blog - Handmade By Pri

I started by using the Lawn Fawn box card dies and watercolour cardstock to create the base of my box card as I had planned to use lots of Distress Oxide inks to create the inside background…on the outside I simply stamped snowflakes all over using blue ink….I also used Distress Oxide inks on the outside panels of my card..

Me And My Daily Papercraft Blog - Handmade By Pri
I used the Lawn Fawn Winter village stamp and dies for the village scene on the inside….I have coloured in the images using Prismacolor pencils and then adhered them onto the hilly panels…these panels are from the shadow box die set but I thought they were perfect for this card…
Me And My Daily Papercraft Blog - Handmade By Pri

I added a few images on the side flaps and the sentiment on the front flap as well as another on on the front of the card it’s folded….and to add a bit of shimmer to the night sky background.I added some tiny flat silver sequins near the moon image…

The little girl image I have used in my second card is from a birthday stamp set from MFT called Happy Birthday To You but I have repurposed it for a Christmas card…I first created the background on a white front panel using Distress Inks and then used a die to emboss the pattern on it..I also splattered some water for effect…

I adhered this panel to a white card base and die cut the word Merry from gold glitter cardstock as well as a small white banner to heat emboss the word Christmas using gold embossing powder…I stamped and coloured in the girl and dog images and adhered them to my card front and then added the die cut sentiment as well…

Me And My Daily Papercraft Blog - Handmade By Pri
I added some gold Nuvo drops to embellish my card…

Santa And His Reindeers – 3 Cards

It’s the 23rd of December…my girls used to call it Christmas Eve Eve when they were little…ha ha…I think right now all they want to do is open up their prezzies ASAP…(don’t we all!!)…the cards I’m sharing today have been made using the WPlus9 Santa’s Reindeer stamp and die set…this set was released last year but I wasn’t able to get it then…but I knew I was getting it for this year’s cards for sure..

Me And My Daily Papercraft Blog - Handmade By Pri
For my first card I die cut the front panel from white cardstock using a stitched rectangle die and then die cut two windows on it using dies from the Lawn Fawn Shadow Box die set…these dies give a stitched detail on the outside of the die cut section…
On the rectangle shaped window I added a panel on which I had sponged in some salty ocean Distress ink and then used the Avery Elle snowfall background die…I adhered this panel to a white card base and then added the coloured in and die cut Santa,Chimney and Reindeer images…
I stamped the ‘Merry Xmas’ sentiment using red ink inside the oval window and adhered some tiny red sequins to embellish my card..

I tried to create a night sky scene for the background of my second card using Distress Oxide inks…I have used the shades fossilized amber, salty ocean, wilted violet and black soot and then splattered some water as well as white gold watercolour on it…once dry,I die cut this panel to size using  a dotted rectangle die…

I stamped and heat embossed the sentiment using white embossing powder and then adhered it to a white card base…and finally I adhered the watercoloured and die cut images on my card…and finally to embellish it I have used silver star sequins…
Me And My Daily Papercraft Blog - Handmade By Pri

Now my third card went exactly to plan so I was really happy….I die cut a panel from white cardstock using one of the Kat’s Scrappiness Postage Stamp Edge dies…I then sponged in some salty ocean and squeezed lemonade Distress Inks and sprayed quite a lot of water on top…
Once dry,I adhered this panel onto a deep red cardstock card base and then added all the die cut images to it…I have used some sparling clear eqions in various sizes to embellish my card…

Otterly Merry Christmas Spinner & Snow Globe Card

One of the cards I’m sharing today is a spinner/slider card with a cute otter on it…I did not make many interactive cards for Christmas this year as they take a bit longer to plan and assemble and I had a lot of cards to make…and my second card is ‘almost’ a shaker card….I created the red snow globe with the cute birdies and felt it looked great without making it a shaker…

Me And My Daily Papercraft Blog - Handmade By Pri
For the spinner card,I first created the front panel using Distress Inks and a cloud stencil on a die cut white cardstock to create the background..I have used tumbled glass and shaded lilac shades here…

I then die cut another smaller panel using the stitched hillside border for the ocean…I blended some Distress Oxide inks this time…I have used blueprint sketch and salty ocean..I did this mainly to make the sky and the ocean distinct but I wasn’t able to show it well in the pictures I clicked..

After creating a die cut channel for the slider,I used one of the stitched trails die to create some patterns on this panel and stamped the sentiment using black ink..

Me And My Daily Papercraft Blog - Handmade By Pri
I stamped, coloured in and die cut the otter and a little bird and then used double layer of  foam tape to adhered the wave section to the card front…I added the spinner disc behind the otter and adhered it to a die cut circle which makes it spin and slide in the channel…I then adhered the little bird on the panel with the clouds on it…
By the time I realised that these pictures and video were clicked when I hadn’t embellished this card,I had already posted it…but I assure you,I have added some red Nuvo drops to embellish it…Here is a small video of my spinner card…just in case you are unable to view it in this browser you can view it on my Instagram or Facebook account..
My second card has a very sparkly background that I have die cut from white glitter cardstock and adhered to a plain white card base…I then used a bright red plain cardstock to die cut two scalloped banners as well and the stamped snow globe…
I have used some Distress Inks to create the background of the snow globe and then added the coloured in and die cut birds and the branch to it…I simply adhered this snow globe to my card front and my card was ready…and since this card was already quite bright and glittery,I did not add any embellishments on it..

Merry Christmas Dog Cards

I have used the same images on both my cards today (from MFT Happy Pawlidays stamp set) but have managed to make the cards as different from each other as I could…I have used Crayola fine line markers and a water brush to colour in the images to save time…

Me And My Daily Papercraft Blog - Handmade By Pri
I created a background using Distress Oxide inks for my first card…I used candied apple, abandoned coral and picked raspberry shades on a white top panel..I splattered some water as well as gold watercolour on this panel for effect…I also embossed this panel using two dies from MFT stitched rectangle stax and adhered it to a plain white card base…
I used some adhesive foam to add the images on the card front and then die cut the word ‘merry’ from gold foil cardstock using stitched alphabet dies and adhered it to the card as well…I gold heat embossed the word christmas on a small white label and adhered it under the word to complete the sentiment..
To embellish my my card I die cut a few sequins from gold foil cardstock and added them to my card and some white Nuvo drops on the Christmas tree..

Me And My Daily Papercraft Blog - Handmade By Pri

I have used Kraft cardstock for my second card…I first die cut a panel for the front of my card and then randomly stamped some holly leaves using twisted citron oxide ink…I then used candied apple oxide ink to repeatedly stamp the words joy, peace and love….all these images are from Waffle Flower Holiday Labels stamp set…I adhered this panel to a Kraft cardstock card base…

I cut out and adhered the tree and dog images to the card front and added some red Nuvo drops to the tree…I also added some gold star sequins to embellish my card…

Holiday Greetings & Baubles – 2 Cards

I’m sharing two cards today which I have made with a lot of care…I have chosen traditional colours for the background of my first card and soft colours for stamping the background of the second one…it has been very exciting to make so many unique holiday cards this year…

Me And My Daily Papercraft Blog - Handmade By Pri
For my first card I die cut the front panel using a stitched rectangle die and then used a smaller rectangle die from the shadow box die set to create a window in the middle of the panel with a stitched effect all around it…I then sponged in some candied apple and lucky clover Distress Oxide inks on this panel..I also splattered some water and gold watercolour on it…
I stamped and heat embossed the sentiment on this panel using white embossing powder and then started on the village scene inside the window..
Me And My Daily Papercraft Blog - Handmade By Pri

There is a snow bank die in the shadow box die set which I have used in the window after sponging in cracked pistachio and salty ocean Oxide inks…I then added the coloured in and die cut images from the winter village stamp set and then added a blue panel at the back on which I have used the falling snow die….

I adhered this panel to a plain white card base and then added some white Nuvo drops to embellish it…

Me And My Daily Papercraft Blog - Handmade By Pri
I was quite excited once I finished my second card…why?…well,I didn’t muck it up(ha ha) and it turned out exactly as planned…
I started by stamping large baubles from Waffle flower Holiday Labels stamp set on a piece of white die cut panel using Altenew citrus burst and cotton candy dye inks and then stamped the same bauble on a separate piece if cardstock using persian blue ink…I stamped a deer silhouette inside the baubles using mocha and sand dune ink shades..
Me And My Daily Papercraft Blog - Handmade By Pri
There were some tiny dots stamps in the WF Holiday Labels stamp set which I used to randomly stamp and fill in some of the background on the white panel using the same inks I used to stamp the baubles..I then adhered this panel to a light pink textured card base..

I die cut the blue bauble I had stamped earlier using a circle die and added a string/ribbon die cut to it and adhered it to the card front using some craft foam underneath…and to finish my card I added some clear star sequins to the blue bauble as a bit of a shiny element in my card…
