3 Cards – Girl n Boy,Reindeer Among Clouds And Large Blue Snowflake

Yet again I’m sharing three cards that have nothing in common except that they are all Christmas cards…the first card has a girl and a boy dressed up in winter gear and because we don’t have summers at Christmastime in Australia,I am sending it to someone who will be having cold weather in the holidays…my second card does not have any stamped images and I have used a large snowflake die cut as the focal point of this card….and my third card has a cute reindeer floating in the clouds and I have heat embossed the large sentiment on this card…

I started my first card by sponging in some Distress Oxide ink on a white front panel and splattered some water for effect…I have used the following shades – wild honey, salty ocean, wilted violet and black soot…I also embossed a border on this panel using a dotted rectangle die…I stamped and heat embossed the sentiment using gold embossing powder and adhered this panel to a plain white card base…

On a separate piece of white cardstock I stamped and coloured in the boy and girl images and their winter accessories….I die cut them using coordinating dies and adhered them to the card front…I have used tiny red sequins in clusters of 3 to embellish my card…

I created my second card directly on the card front of a white card base….I first stamped some snowflakes using a very light blue ink shade from Altenew called Arctic and then used a border die by Li’l Inker Designs to die cut a panel from red glitter cardstock…I adhered this panel to the base of my card…
Then using Lawn Fawn’s stitched snowflake die I die cut a large snowflake from blue glitter cardstock as well as blue foam and layered them before adhering them onto the card front…I also added a small snowflake at the top of the large one…

I am also entering this card in Time Out Challenge #98…and as you can see.I was inspired by the snowflake on the first Christmas stocking hanger in the inspiration image..
Now my third card was so much fun…I used Distress Inks and MFT Clouds stencil to create the background on a white front panel and then stamped and heat embossed the large sentiment  using gold embossing powder…I used the following shades of inks – tumbled glass blueprint sketch chipped sapphire wilted violet..

On a separate piece of white cardstock,I stamped the reindeer image by Clearly Besotted(jingle bells stamp set)…It’s a kind of a layering stamp so there was no colouring required…I used Altenew mocha, crimson and tide blue dye inks for the coloured layers..I die cut this reindeer and adhered it to the card using some adhesive foam and finally to embellish my card,I have used red and green Nuvo drops and some glossy accents on the reindeer…

A Christmas Pop Up Card

Today I’m sharing a colourful and festive pop up card…on the front there is a magical scene with sweet fairies and on the inside is a couple of sweet little dogs dreaming of a wonderful Christmas present..I also have a small video at the end of this post to show how my card looks when you open it..

Me And My Daily Papercraft Blog - Handmade By Pri
I started with a plain white card base and stamped some pine leaves using green ink…I then die cut a smaller panel from white cardstock and stamped the two fairies and the tree trunk house on this panel and coloured them in…I also stamped the sentiment and some snowflakes…and finally I sponged some seedless preserves Distress Oxide ink on the edges of this panel and adhered it to the card front..
Me And My Daily Papercraft Blog - Handmade By Pri

The inside layer covers the whole card and to make the edges a bit neater,I cut this layer slightly smaller than the card base…I then used Distress Oxide inks to completely cover it…I have used fossilised amber, spiced marmalade antique linen and wild honey and then splattered some  Gansai Tambi red gold watercolour…

I then used the pop up dies to create the sections on which to adhere my elements…I stamped the sentiment and adhered this layer inside the card…

After colouring in and die cutting some of the images from Lawn Fawn stamp set called Christmas dreams,I adhered them to the pop up backing sections…

Here is a small video of my card..If you are unable to view it on my blog, you could go to my Instagram or facebook page to view it..
So glad you stopped by to take a look at my card today….Hope you will have a beautiful and blessed day ahead…Happy Crafting..!!

Two Cute Dog Cards – Merry Christmas & Oh Joy

MFT has released the cutest dog stamps for Christmas this year…and I’m sharing two cards that I have made using the Happy Pawlidays stamp set…should’ve got the coordinating dies as well but didn’t…might get them later… 🙂

Me And My Daily Papercraft Blog - Handmade By Pri
I started my first card by sponging in some Distres Inks very lightly onto a die cut front panel…I have used the shades – shaded lilac, tumbled glass and spun sugar and then adhered this panel to a white card base…

I die cut the letters for the word ‘oh joy’ and a dome frame from pink glitter cardstock and well as some pink foam and adhered them to the card front..

Me And My Daily Papercraft Blog - Handmade By Pri
On a piece of watercolour cardstock I stamped and clear heat embossed the little dog,the tree and the present and coloured them in using crayola markers and a water brush..once dry,I cut them out and placed them inside the dome frame…
To embellish my card,I used red Nuvo drops on the tree and tiny pink star sequins all over the card..I also applied my Spectrum Noir glitter pen over the dog’s santa hat and blue stocking…
Me And My Daily Papercraft Blog - Handmade By Pri
On my second card I wanted to create a night sky scene and used Distress inks for it…I have used these shades – dried marigold, lucky clover, blueprint sketch and black soot…I also splattered some water as well as gold watercolour for effect and then adhered this panel to a white card base…
Me And My Daily Papercraft Blog - Handmade By Pri

The images for this card have also been stamped and coloured in the same way as the previous card – using crayola markers,I cut them out and adhered them on the card as well as the die sentiment using gold glitter cardstock…

I added gold Nuvo drops to the tree and used some clear star sequins to embellish the card…

Altenew Xmas Trees – 3 cards

I’m sharing three cards today which I have made with my favorite stamp and die set by Altenew for this year’s Christmas release…I really like the size of the two trees in this set and once the front panel was ready,I just had to add the tree die cut and my cards were ready…how good is that..??

Me And My Daily Papercraft Blog - Handmade By Pri
For my first card I created the background on the front panel using a plaid stencil and black soot Distress ink and splattered some gold paint as well…I added a thin strip of red and gold glitter cardstock on one side and then stamped the sentiment using watermark ink and heat embossed it with gold embossing powder…then using a rectangle cross stitch die to cut out the front panel and adhered it to a plain black card base….

On a separate piece of white cardstock I stamped the large tree using parrot Altenew dye ink and then die cut it with the coordinating die and placed it on the card front using some adhesive foam…I added a die cut gold star at the top of the tree and adhered some gold star sequins to embellish my card..
Me And My Daily Papercraft Blog - Handmade By Pri
For my second card I chose a red glitter cardstock front panel and adhered it to a plain white card base….I then stamped the two trees from Altenew Night Before Christmas stamp set on a separate piece of white cardstock using parrot and olive dye ink and the die cut them and placed them onto the card front…
I then die cut snowflakes from white glitter cardstock and adhered it to the card and since the was so much glitter used on this card,I decided not to add any embellishments..

My third card was quite fun to make as I did not use any traditional colours in this card…I first cut the front panel to size from deep blue glitter cardstock and then die cut the snowy background using falling snow die from Avery Elle…I added silver foil paper behind the front layer and adhered this panel to the plain white card base…
On a separate piece of white cardstock,I sponged in some Distress Oxide inks – wilted violet, salty ocean and peacock feather – and then die cut the tree using the larger tree die…I stamped and silver heat embossed the sentiment on the tree and placed it on the card front using some adhesive foam underneath…
I then die cut stars from silver foil cardstock and adhered them to the tree and my card was ready

I am entering this last card in the Altenew Year In Review Inspiration Challenge in which we could choose to create a card inspired by any of the inspiration photos from this year…I chose the colours from the April challenge for my card..

Freezy Fellas – Three Cards

Today I am sharing three cards with you….and all three have the very cute snowmen from the Paper Smooches stamp set called Freezy Fellas…I have really enjoyed making these cards and have made a lot more using this set and that’s because these snowmen didn’t need to be coloured in – except their accessories and noses…

Me And My Daily Papercraft Blog - Handmade By Pri
I stamped and coloured in the moose(from Paper Smooches Chubby Chum Pals set) on the front panel and masked it before creating the background for my card…I  used the following Distress inks for it – squeezed lemonade, blueprint sketch, wilted violet and black soot and addded some white paint splatters as well…I adhered a die cut white glitter panel to the base of this panel using the hillside border die and then die cut it using a dotted rectangle die and adhered it to a white card base..

I added the three snowmen to create the scene and stamped the sentiment just above the moose..I also adhered a holly leaf and berries die cut image at the top right of my card…to embellish the card,I used a die cut red heart as well as some clear confetti sequins…
Me And My Daily Papercraft Blog - Handmade By Pri

My second card was much quicker than the first card…I used the Altenew graffiti stencil and salty ocean Distress Ink to print the pattern on the front panel and then stamped the sentiment using crimson crisp dye ink…I stamped a lot of snowflakes on this panel and then adhered it to the card base…
I stamped, coloured in and die cut the snowman and the holly leaf bunches and adhered them to my card and finally to embellish my card I have used tiny blue rhinestones in the middle of all the snowflakes

Me And My Daily Papercraft Blog - Handmade By Pri

Now on my third card I decided not to create a background with inks but a background with a die….so I cut out the front panel from gold glitter cardstock and die cut a section of it using the snowfall die from MFT and adhered it to the white card base..
I stamped, coloured in and die cut the snowman and holly leaves and adhered them to the card front and then die cut the word ‘merry’ from a separate piece of cardstock on which I had sponged in some salty ocean Distress Oxide ink and splattered with water…I  die cut the same alphabets from light blue craft foam and layered them before adhering to the card…I stamped the banner ‘christmas’ stamp with salty ocean ink as well and cut it out and adhered it under the word ‘merry’ and my card was ready..

Little Girl Decorating Tree & Pencil Colours On Black Card

The two cards I’m sharing today are very different from each other…because this year I have tried my best not to make two cards that are the exact same…until last year I was still making a big bunch of cards assembly line style and just a handful of other cards…which also means that I have taken a long time to create all my cards and am still making a few…hopefully with better planning and some experience from this year,I will be able to do a much better job next year… 🙂

Me And My Daily Papercraft Blog - Handmade By Pri
I have repurposed the stamp set by Simon Says Stamp called Lila’s Heart and instead of Lila holding a heart,I have placed a bauble in her hand and it looks like she is decorating the tree…
I created the background using printed cardstock for this card and used a cross stitch rectangle die to cut out the front panel…I added a red and green fringe scallop border at the top of this panel and adhered it to a white card base..
Then using the Altenew Night Before Christmas tree die, I die cut a tree and sponged in some Distress inks..I have used twisted citron and peeled paint shades here and splattered a bit of water for effect…I adhered this tree to the card front and added the coloured in baubles to it as well as the gold star on the top…I added the little on the side using some adhesive foam strips for a bit of dimension…
I decided not to add any embellishments on this card and I didn’t add a sentiment either as I thought it would really crowd up the card…
Me And My Daily Papercraft Blog - Handmade By Pri
On my second card I have used Prismacolor pencils on black cardstock…I stamped and gold heat embossed the gift boxes as well as the sentiment and then coloured in on the images in various colours..I added some glossy accents on top and once dry,I adhered this panel to a textured yellow card base…
Although I can see the imperfections of my colouring in quite clear in the picture, they are not visible when I see it in person…I think I need to pay attention to the edges while colouring in…and sharpen those pencils too…ha ha..!!

From Our House To Yours

Today I am sharing two cards that I have made using the Avery Elle Chalet stamp set…I got this set last year and really liked it so I got the matching dies last month to make things a bit easier instead of fussy cutting the images as there are a lot of small images on the set which take up too much time to cut by hand…

Me And My Daily Papercraft Blog - Handmade By Pri
I spent a lot of time to create the background of my first card…I first applied some Distress inks with a wet paint brush onto the watercolour cardstock panel and layering it by heat setting the colour every now and then…since I wanted a shimmery/glowy winter night sky look,I painted some silver watercolour as the top layer…
Once the top layer was dry,I stamped and white heat embossed a starry background…I die cut the excess using a dotted rectangle die and adhered the top layer to a plain white card base…

I stamped, coloured in and die cut the house, tree and the lamp post and adhered it to the card front…I have used red Nuvo drops to decorate the tree and adhered silver star sequins to embellish my card..

Me And My Daily Papercraft Blog - Handmade By Pri

For my second card I kept things simple and simply used Distress Inks to create the background…I have used seedless preserves, wilted violet, scattered straw and ground espresso ink shades here…and instead of die cutting this panel,I embossed it with a die and then adhered it to a plain white card base…

I then added the coloured in house, tree and lamp post to the card front and then die cut the Merry Christmas sentiment from purple foil cardstock and layered it with purple foam before adding it to the card front..I also added a stamped sentiment underneath on a white strip of cardstock..

To embellish my card,I die cut stars from purple foil cardstock and added some Nuvo drops on the tree and glossy accents as well..

Sending Warm Wishes – A Spinner Card

Me And My Daily Papercraft Blog - Handmade By Pri
I started by cutting the front panel to size and then using the Altenew grid stencil and Distress Oxide inks to create the background…I have used candied apple, abandoned coral and worn lipstick shades here…I then splattered, sprayed almost,a lote of water and quickly dabbed it with a paper towel…I also stamped the sentiment and embossed this panel with a stitched rectangle die…
I die cut a section in the middle of the front panel and die cut the same section in the card base…and because I wanted this die cut section to be the main focus,I die cut a gold frame from the nesting dies and inlaid it after I had the spinner part of the card ready…

Me And My Daily Papercraft Blog - Handmade By Pri

For the spinner element,I stamped and die cut the cute bear from Lawn Fawn For You Deer stamp set…I also stamped and die cut an extra of the back stamp making sure not to ink the tail…this was to create the front legs of the bear…I coloured in the images and added a gold string which passed between the front and back of the bear die cut…these strings are securely adhered between the front panel and the card base…

Me And My Daily Papercraft Blog - Handmade By Pri

Since the inside of the card is visible from the card front,I stamped lots of stars inside and coloured them in…

To decorate the card front I have simple adhered a few gold star sequins…

Rainbow Of Wishes

I wanted to make a card that wasn’t occasion specific and could be sent for any happy occasion to wish a loved one….I also wanted it to be a bright and colourful card – my favorite kind of card – as I’m planning to share only Christmas cards for December from my next post onwards…

Me And My Daily Papercraft Blog - Handmade By Pri
I started by cutting a white front panel to size and the using salty ocean Distress ink and the MFT mini cloud edge stencil to create a cloudy background…I then used an edge die to cut out the strips from coloured cardstock scrap pieces for the rainbow…
Once the rainbow pieces were adhered to the front panel,I die cut the word ‘Rainbow’ twice from white cardstock and layered them before adhering them onto the section where I had stamped the rest of the sentiment using black ink…I used my markers to colour every alphabet in the colours of the rainbow..
Me And My Daily Papercraft Blog - Handmade By Pri
I  die cut and adhered a white frame to the front panel and then adhered it to a plain white card base…then on a separate piece of white cardstock,I stamped and coloured in the Hippo image and cut it out and placed him on the rainbow using some adhesive foam squares…I also applied some glossy accents on the hippo image for a bit of shine..and finally I added a few clear confetti sequins to embellish my card..
