Happy Thoughts Your Way Card

I wanted to make a card that could be used for any event or occasion…so I went through all my small stamps and decided to use an envelope stamp to create the background for this card….

The card base is plain pinkish-purple….and I have created the top layer by repeatedly stamping a small envelope stamp on white cardstock using various dye inks….I then masked the envelopes and covered the rest of the white space with distress inks..

I then die cut Vellum for the top layer using the largest of the stitched rectangle die and heat embossed the sentiment using a purple heat embossing powder….I also created a tiny envelope using double sided paper to add on the front of the card…

Finally I used a few sequins to decorate the top layer…these sequins also hide the sticky dots that I have used to adhere the vellum onto the card…

Sail Away With Me Card using Cre8tive Hands Digi

Hello and welcome…today I’m sharing a card I made using a digi created by the very talented Michelle Kierznowski…

For this card I have used this sweet digi called Sail Away….the card base is a plain light blue textured cardstock….I have printed the image and sentiment on a white cardstock and then used the stitched rectangle die to create the top panel for the card….

I coloured in the image using Spectrum Noir markers and the card was almost ready…but I wanted to make it a bit more attractive so I added a lot of small blue sequins on the outline of the three large waves……

I also placed a few sequins on the white space near the waves and left the rest of the white space blank…

Bright Borders Birthday Card

A lot of stamp sets have these tiny border stamps which are only about two to three inches long…I have usually ignored those stamps….till now…

I was trying out a couple of these stamps to create a full border using bright inks and they didn’t line up correctly(the reason why I didn’t use them much to begin with)…but a small section look alright and I decided to die cut that part to use in a card using the stitched rectangle die…the panel looked great and I decided to make it the main element of today’s card…

The card base is plain white and the top layer is plain blue which has been die cut using the largest of the stitched rectangle border die and then placed the border stamped panel on it….

I then die cut the word ‘happy’ using red glitter cardstock and placed it on the panel at an angle and also stamped the word birthday on a small piece of white cardstock and placed it on the die cut…

Hip Hip Hooray Card

For today’s card I decided to create a bright scene using my new hot air balloon die….I have also tried paper tearing technique for the top layer of this card…I was a bit unsure at first but still wanted to try…and here’s the result….

The card base is a plain bright red and top layer has been created by using distress inks…then I tore a bit of paper from all four sides and sponged the edges before placing the top layer onto the card…

I die cut the hot air balloon,first with the orange foil card stock and then again with a spotty printed paper and combined the two before placing onto the top layer….I also die cut a few clouds for the card…

The sentiment is stamped on a red banner and I have used a few rhinestones to decorate the card…

Birthday Hugs Card

I don’t buy too much Stampin Up! products,but when I do – I usually get a few extra goodies from my demonstrator….last time I got the Shine On double sided DSP with some matching cardstock in a kit and I held on to most of the papers for a long time until I got a good enough idea for a card…I have a bad habit of saving( read hoarding) the ‘good’ papers – which I’m trying to change…. 🙂

The card base is plain white and the top layer is the plain aqua green which I die cut using the stitched rectangle dies…the top layer is a Kraft base with silver foil print…I die cut that panel using a smaller one of the rectangle die….

Once all the layers were in place,I die cut the word ‘hugs’ a few times using the same blue cardstock as the middle panel and white glitter cardstock as well and layered them up before placing onto the card….then I cut two silver banners and stamped the sentiments on it and adhered them above and below the die cut word to create a full message…

Finally I die cut a few heart shaped balloons from red glitter cardstock to decorate the card…

Thinking Of You Card

So I pulled out black cardstock yet again and decided to make a simple card with it….I think the yellow looks vibrant with the black card base….

There is not much to this card…I started with a black cardstock card base….the top layer is made from watercolour paper which has been washed with yellow watercolour….once that was dry,I stamped the foliage stamps using Versamark ink and heat embossed all the images with white embossing powder…

The sentiment is stamped on a black banner using white pigment ink and I have used gold cardstock to die cut a few sequins to decorate the card…

Cre8tive Hands Fans FB Challenge – Goody Bag

Another challenge has started on the Cre8tive Hands Fans Facbeook Group today…The watering can image is very cute…I could’ve made a card for this one but decided to make a goody bag…maybe a little something for a keen gardener…with some seasonal seeds in it…

I have followed the tutorial by Sam Donald on Pootles.co.uk….the dimensions for the box and video tutorial are on her blog so here’s the link for her Pretty Petals Gift Bag Box….I have made this box many times…it’s great for small gifts or treats like chocolates,cookies etc…

I have used a blue cardstock for the box and a printed lavender DSP for the front….The digi has been coloured in using Spectrum Noir Markers and placed on a bright yellow base mat….I have also stamped and cut out the sentiment banner and threaded it through the ribbon…

Thank You For Your Friendship Card

Today I’m sharing a simple card which seems like it was created in minutes…but actually took me a few days to finish…I was totally out of ideas once I got the background ready…

The card base in plain pink and the background layer is made by distress inks and simple paper masking….the top layer is made from vellum paper and is slightly smaller than the background layer….I have used a pink gel ink pen to draw the stitch lines on it…

Then I die cut a flourish embellishment from gold foil cardstock and placed it on the center of the card…and placed the gold embossed sentiment banner above it…

I have decorated the card with colourful rhinestones which also help hide the glue dots that help to adhere the vellum layer onto the card…

Folded Birthday Card

I’ve had the tutorial for this card bookmarked for such a long time and I wish I had tried it out sooner….it was so easy and fun to make and I love the unique folding technique..

I started with a square dark lavender cardstock and got the card base folded as per the instructions in the tutorial video….once that was ready,I stamped on the inside of the card and prepared the layers for the inside sections…

On the front of the card I have used a few mat layers and a final stamped top layer on which I have placed the sentiment as well…this top layer is adhered by using adhesive sponge squares as the ribbon needs to be threaded underneath it to close the card…

This card was so much fun to try….I hope you too are having fun crafting today…
