Today I’m sharing a card that can be given for any special occasion….it can be for a birthday or an anniversary or any other happy event….
The card base is plain yellow….and the top layer has been created using four different distress inks and blending them slightly on a watercolour cardstock…
To decorate the four corners of the top layer I cut two squares out of gold glitter cardstock and cut them diagonally to create these triangular corners…In the middle I have a die cut frame from the same cardstock…the sentiment has been stamped on a yellow piece and die cut and adhered in the middle of the frame..
I used a gold metallic marker to colour in the tiny adhesive pearls that have used as the only embellishments on the card….the glitter cardstock makes it quite attractive and I did not want it to clash with other types of embellishments…
Hope you liked this card…

Post#163 Rainbow Butterflies Birthday Card & Card Box

I had so much fun making this card….it has bright colours and lots of butterflies….a perfect card for my cheerful little girl who’s turning 10 today….
The card base is 5″x 7″ made from plain pink cardstock….the top layer is plain pink as well…there is a large banner at the top made from silver glitter cardstock with the sentiment heat embossed with white embossing powder….
For all the butterflies,I coloured in seven 2” square pieces of paper with rainbow shades of watercolours….once dry,I die cut the large butterflies and punched out the smaller ones….I attached a rhinestone on each of these butterflies and adhered them onto the top layer of the card….
Once you enter the details of the box you require, this Box Buster will calculate the size of paper required to create the box as well the the first and second punch….
For larger boxes it does warn you that the paper will overhang the envelope punch board so please be careful….I did not face this problem since the 1 2 3 Punch board has an extendable arm and I can easily score the full length….
There is also a video tutorial as well – How to use the Box Buster App for any size box by Crafty Owl
My card sits perfectly in this envelope box that I created with printed paper….I also attached a couple of butterflies on the front of the box…
Hope you liked this card…Don’t forget to bookmark the link for the Box Buster….

Post#162 No Cut,No Stick Box Idea by Pootles

At first I just saw a picture of this box by Sam and really couldn’t believe that it was a no cut no stick box….it didn’t look like one…then I saw the tutorial video and tried it out myself….it’s more of a paper folding technique and creates a very nice size box….
The box is 2″x 7″ in size so it can hold quite a wide variety of goodies in it…especially things like stationery items…
I have used plain blue cardstock to make the box and printed pink paper for the DSP panels….then I stamped the sentiment on a 1″ banner punched from silver cardstock and another two from the same cardstock I used to make the box…then I attached all them using a brad and stuck them to the front of the box..
Do try this box…you’ll be pleased with the results…

I think gold heat embossing powder is slowly becoming my favourite kind of embossing powder to use on cards….I love how it instantly brightens and highlights everything you emboss with it…it has taken me a while to get a hang of these powders, but now I think I’m able to get almost perfect results…
I started by rounding only two corners of the white card base and the top layer of the card….I then stamped the roses and leaves stamps on the top layer using Versamark ink and heat embossed them with gold embossing powder…
To colour in the roses,I decided to use Peerless watercolours…..once the colours were dry,I stamped the sentiment using pink dye ink…
I have used a strip of glitter gold cardstock on one side and a few pink adhesive pearls to decorate the card..
Hope you liked this card…..

Valentines Day is just a couple of weeks away so I thought to make a few cards for this special day….this is quite a simple card…nothing over the top or fancy….but it still delivers the message clearly…
On a red card base I have used a white top layer….and on the top layer I first stamped a few border images in light colours and then stamped the bicycle stamp near the base….I also stamped a sentiment stamp in bright red…
Finally I adhered a few heart sequins on the card….
Hope you liked this card…

Tea is getting fancier these days….and so many flavours too….
This tea bag pouch is very simply an envelope created by using the WRMK 1 2 3 punch board…you just measure the tea bag and look for the correct size envelope measurements on the board…
But since I would like it to be a bit special when I gift it to someone,I have decorated it with a ribbon and string and a few other thing like the butterfly die cut and the stamped banner underneath…
I’m quite happy with how my envelope pouch turned out….Hope you liked it too…

Post#158 Lots & Lots of Balloons Birthday Card

Stamping images repeatedly to create a unique background for a card is so much fun….its also fills up the spaces which means you don’t need many embellishments for it….
On today’s card I have used three shades of pink ink and three balloon stamps….
I started with a white card base and have used a white top layer as well….After stamping all the balloons,I stamped the balloon strings in blue ink….the sentiment has been stamped with Versamark ink and gold heat embossing powder…
I have used sequins to decorate the card…
Hope you liked this card…

Post#157 You Are Pretty Darn Amazing Card

I realised I had a lot of butterfly stamps,so I took them all out of my stamps folder and quickly created a background using those stamps…
I stamped all the butterflies with Ranger Java Bean dye ink on white cardstock and coloured them in…..
For this card I used an orange card base and and extra layer/mat in yellow and then added the top layer….on the top layer I have used a strip of brown glitter cardstock on one side and also the die cut word you from the same glitter cardstock….this word die has been placed above the sentiment that has been stamped on a banner made from gold cardstock…
Hope you liked this card…

Post#156 Shaker Money Pouch using Fuse Tool

Ever since I saw the tutorial for a shaker money holder/pouch by Vicki, it has been on the top of my ‘try to make’ list…..the only thing stopping me was that I didn’t have enough sequins to fill the pouch…so in the end I just couldn’t wait any longer and this is my first ever attempt…I’m sure I will try more of these when I finally am able to buy a big bag of sequins…but here’s the first…
If you click on the link and follow the tutorial video in Vicki’s post, you will understand how easy these pouches/money holders are to create with a fuse tool….
I actually placed the die cut and stamped sentiments inside the pouch, which I later realised that I shouldn’t have…anyways, that was the front of the pouch…..on the back of the pouch I simply stamped with white stazon ink…
To decorate the pouch I have used multi-coloured rhinestones….and to close the pouch at the top I have used a wide ribbon and closed it at the top using a gold string…
Hope you liked this…..
