While searching for dimensions for a small milk carton style giftbox I came across a tutorial by Krista Driessen…and when I tried out the box…it was just I wanted…and soooo cute… 🙂
After creating the box I simply die cut three consecutive sizes from my hexagon dies and stamped the smallest one…I adhered them to the box using 3d foam squares….and finally a small wooden peg to close the box at the top…
Hope you liked this mini box…

This card was made from just a handful of supplies….Using border stamps repeatedly is a great way to create a wonderful background for any card…
Here I used a zigzag stamp five times to create the background…and instead of repeating it with the same colour I used three shades of green and one each of purple and blue ink…I feel that gives a sort of brightness to the card…
The sentiment was stamped on a narrow piece of cardstock…I rounded two of the corners of that and the base piece as well..
It’s a simple card…Hope you liked it…

Today I’m sharing another simple card…
The cards base is plain white with a white top layer…on the top layer I have stamped a doily stamp twice in black StazOn ink…then I coloured it in with emerald shade of twinkling h2o watercolour….I coloured just a few sections on the large doily stamp and I think it gives a bit of stained glass effect…
The sentiment was stamped on a white strip of paper and one edge was punched using the banner punch…
Hope you liked this card…

For  quite some time I had been looking for a tutorial to make a box which did not need a ribbon, string or a band to close it……and luckily I found one by Elaine Jackson on her blog called Papercraft Button….She has shared measurements for a variety of sizes for this box she calls the Cross Close Box….I have added her tutorial video below as well if you’d like to learn how to make this box…
I used a very dark green cardstock to create the base and a green and white printed paper for the four panels on each side….
I also made a tag using the same papers…the base of the tag was made by punching both ends of the tag with the tag topper punch and threading a ribbon through…then added a square peice of printed paper with two of the edges rounded using the corner punch….and finally added the stamped sentiment on top….
I had a lot of fun making this box….Hope you liked how it turned out…

I love making bright colourful cards for kids…..and this card was made with a special little person in mind…
The card base is plain white and so is the top layer….there is a 2 inch strip of paper coloured in with distress inks placed on the center of the top layer….then I attached a die cut word ‘happy birthday’ near the base of the card…
Then I die cut three balloons in bright colours and attached a string on each of them and placed them on the card using adhesive foam squares…
Hope you liked this card…

Post#71 Black and White Stamped Doily Card

I bought this vintage lace doily stamp set quite a while back and have since used them a lot….but what I never tried with them was a white stamp on black card…and I don’t know what was more tricky…..making this card or taking a picture of this card… 🙂
The base of the card is black and I used another layer of black cardstock to stamp the doilies on…I think I should’ve used a glossy cardstock for a better result….the ink made the stamp stick onto the paper…so I started again…this time it worked….then I added a red sequin in the center of each stamp and the card was ready…..
I like this card…Hope you liked it too…

I’m experimenting with Twinkling H2O watercolours and still haven’t been able to use them properly….but they are so vibrant and glossy that my experiments aren’t going to waste…I was able to use them in my projects quite easily….
Today I’m sharing two such projects…..The first one is a gift bag made out of two layers of the largest die from the eyelet scallop square die set…there is a tiny  box in the middle on which these die cuts get attached….I punched two holes in the box to thread the ribbons through…
To decorate the front of the box I die cut a scalloped square piece from the sheet of paper I had stamped using an embossing folder and twinkilng h2o’s….on that I added three banners in various sizes and colours and rounded the straight edges…also added a few punched flowers and a button as embellishments…
The second project turned out a bit better when I used watercolours on the same embossing folder to stamp on the tag…it gives a very shimmery effect but sadly I am not able to show that in this photo….
I simply punched a banner and stamped the sentiment on it and attached it to the tag with the ribbons…I also added a few flowers with tiny rhinestones in the middle…
Hope you liked my creations…

Post#69 Gift Tag with Stamped Acetate Layer

I am really enjoying using acetate in my projects these days….here is another one with an acetate layer…
I die cut an olive green tag and made a dotted border all around the tag with a white gel pen….then I die cut the same tag from the acetate sheet….I placed this on top of the green base tag….I also stamped the girl and boy holding balloons on acetate tag with white ink…
The ribbon holds both the tags together nicely so there was no need for any adhesives…
Hope you liked it….

I may never know who came up with the idea of covering a sticky notepad but I think its a really good one…almost everyone uses sticky notes as they are really handy to put up reminders….and since its usually one of the staple stationery item, making it look pretty sitting on a desk or next to the phone is a great idea for yourself or to give as a small gift to someone…..
This is a sticky notepad that my younger daughter picked out for herself….hence the cute owl print….it measures 3″x 3″ so I took a plain cream coloured cardstock to create the base layer which covers the notepad at the top,one side and base….so that its easy to flip open….
After the base was ready, I attached a pink top layer…to decorate I added a few different sized die cut scalloped circles in pastel colours and a banner layered under the stamped owl image…
My daughter likes it a lot…Hope you do too…
