I try out quite a few things/ideas all the time….some turn out perfect or quite good….some go straight into the bin ..while some turn out somewhere in the middle….but I learn something new every single time…..like this tag that I’m sharing with you today… 🙂
My aim was to create a die cut word tag and the use glitter to fill in the negative spaces….So I die cut the words love & you on a large tag…then put double sided tape on the back of the tag…then I attached a slightly smaller tag at the back…Now I had to add glitter on the words and press them down so quite a lot of it stick onto the tape and create the glitter effect words on the tag…
Now here is what I learnt…for this technique one should always use superfine glitter as quite a lot of it would stick onto the tape…unlike the not-so-fine glitter that I used…it still turned out quite nice…
Jennifer McGuire has quite a lot of  excellent tutorials on using glitter with dies etc…Once I am able to get the right kind of glitter I plan to go through her tutorials again…
I stamped a hearts border stamp on the top section of the stamp and added ribbons to finish the tag…
Hope you liked it…

I am quite excited to share today’s creation with you…..It’s my very own creation using the Tag Topper Punch….I have been making hook earrings for a long time now…..I love wearing them as well as making them…so this time when I made a few sets I sat down to think about how to create packaging for these earrings…
One look at the tag punch and I had my answer….I cut out long 2″ strips of gold and silver cardtstock and punched on one end of the strips….I folded the top flap down…..then I decided how tall/long I wanted these pouches and scored and folded the base….I also scored another 1/4″ from the base score line so that there of a bit of room for the earrings…
These pouches now needed something for the earrings to hook onto…one option was to punch two holes but that meant the hooks would be visible from the back of the pouch and wouldn’t look nice…so I decided to adhere a strip of cardstock on the inside of the pouch which would easily provide the base to hang the hooks onto…
I added a few punched flowers on the front….and finally I threaded a ribbon through to close the pouch….
I’m really hoping you liked my creation…..

Post#77 Thank You My Friend Card

I recently bought two sets of really cute girl stamps by Deep Red…and I wanted to make a few nice colourful cards straightaway….
Here I used a blue card base and a white top layer which is much smaller than the usual top layers size…On the top layer I stamped a lot of flowers using bright inks…
Once I had stamped and coloured in the girl image I die cut it….I also created a dotted border on the die cut using a red gel ink pen…then I adhered it to the card using adhesive foam…I also attached a stamped sentiment to it….
I really hope you like this card as much as I do…Thanks for stopping by…

While searching for dimensions for a small milk carton style giftbox I came across a tutorial by Krista Driessen…and when I tried out the box…it was just I wanted…and soooo cute… 🙂
After creating the box I simply die cut three consecutive sizes from my hexagon dies and stamped the smallest one…I adhered them to the box using 3d foam squares….and finally a small wooden peg to close the box at the top…
Hope you liked this mini box…

This card was made from just a handful of supplies….Using border stamps repeatedly is a great way to create a wonderful background for any card…
Here I used a zigzag stamp five times to create the background…and instead of repeating it with the same colour I used three shades of green and one each of purple and blue ink…I feel that gives a sort of brightness to the card…
The sentiment was stamped on a narrow piece of cardstock…I rounded two of the corners of that and the base piece as well..
It’s a simple card…Hope you liked it…

Today I’m sharing another simple card…
The cards base is plain white with a white top layer…on the top layer I have stamped a doily stamp twice in black StazOn ink…then I coloured it in with emerald shade of twinkling h2o watercolour….I coloured just a few sections on the large doily stamp and I think it gives a bit of stained glass effect…
The sentiment was stamped on a white strip of paper and one edge was punched using the banner punch…
Hope you liked this card…

For  quite some time I had been looking for a tutorial to make a box which did not need a ribbon, string or a band to close it……and luckily I found one by Elaine Jackson on her blog called Papercraft Button….She has shared measurements for a variety of sizes for this box she calls the Cross Close Box….I have added her tutorial video below as well if you’d like to learn how to make this box…
I used a very dark green cardstock to create the base and a green and white printed paper for the four panels on each side….
I also made a tag using the same papers…the base of the tag was made by punching both ends of the tag with the tag topper punch and threading a ribbon through…then added a square peice of printed paper with two of the edges rounded using the corner punch….and finally added the stamped sentiment on top….
I had a lot of fun making this box….Hope you liked how it turned out…

I love making bright colourful cards for kids…..and this card was made with a special little person in mind…
The card base is plain white and so is the top layer….there is a 2 inch strip of paper coloured in with distress inks placed on the center of the top layer….then I attached a die cut word ‘happy birthday’ near the base of the card…
Then I die cut three balloons in bright colours and attached a string on each of them and placed them on the card using adhesive foam squares…
Hope you liked this card…

Post#71 Black and White Stamped Doily Card

I bought this vintage lace doily stamp set quite a while back and have since used them a lot….but what I never tried with them was a white stamp on black card…and I don’t know what was more tricky…..making this card or taking a picture of this card… 🙂
The base of the card is black and I used another layer of black cardstock to stamp the doilies on…I think I should’ve used a glossy cardstock for a better result….the ink made the stamp stick onto the paper…so I started again…this time it worked….then I added a red sequin in the center of each stamp and the card was ready…..
I like this card…Hope you liked it too…
