Two Flowery Cards

It’s the middle of Autumn here in Australia…and it’s so cold…which also means not many flowers around…we still have to go through winters to before we see the colourful blooms again….and in the mean time,I will make as many flower cards as I can to make me happy… 🙂

Today I’m sharing two flower cards…In the first one I have used Distress inks and water for stamping the base layer of the flowers and in the second card I have used Gansai Tambi watercolours and Spectrum Noir sparkle pen to create the sparkly wine coloured flowers…

I stamped a border stamp at an angle using pink ink and that created the section that I wanted to mask before stamping the flowers….then using the base layer of  Altenew Painted Flowers layering stamp set  and various Distress Inks and my water spritzer,I stamped the images directly onto the top layer….I have used mowed lawn and twisted citron for the leaves and abandoned coral, picked raspberry and candied apple for the flowers..
Using a heat gun I dried the stamps quickly and stamped the top layer using black ink…I stamped the sentiment using green ink on a piece of white cardstock and die cut it using the MFT stitched scalloped rectangle die…to embellish this card I have used a few pink sequins…

For my second card I chose a beige textured cardstock for the card base and cut the top layer to size from the same cardstock…I then adhered a black piece of cardstock to this top layer which I have die cut using the MFT scalloped edge die…I had splattered some gold paint on this black section earlier…then to make the top layer look finished and even,I used a pierced rectangle die and ran it through my Cuttlebug…

On a separate piece of watercolour cardstock,I stamped the flower and leaf images and coloured them in using Gansai Tambi watercolours….once dry, I cut them out and placed them onto the card…I have used black craft foam to elevate a flower and some leaves…

The sentiment has been stamped on a piece of leftover beige cardstock and placed under and over a few flowers….and finally I have added a few gold sequins and a generous amount of sparkle to make the flowers shine…

Flowery Hello Card

Hello…How are you doing??So Christmas and New Years busy time is over…now you can find the time to start planning crafts again…or do you take a longer break..??
Has the new year been good for you so far..??made any resolutions…??I stopped making resolutions long back…life changes so quickly and so many unexpected things happen all the time that it’s almost impossible to keep up with any resolutions…but if you are a planner and are very good at making plans and sticking to them, then you should be very proud of yourself…
The card I’m sharing today has a plain white card base and top layer…I lightly sponged in a bit of distress ink first and then used a darker  shade and a stencil to print a pattern on it….then I randomly stamped  Altenew painted flowers using Ranger Java Bean dye ink…and finally I splattered a bit of orange and green watercolours for effect and set it aside to dry…
On a separate piece of cardstock,I stamped the large flower and small leaf and flowers bunch from Altenew Beautiful Day stamp set and cut it out and placed them on the card…sine my background was so busy,I decided to not colour in the flower…
I have used yet another Altenew stamp set for the sentiment….it’s called Label Love and I have stamped using Ranger Cheese Puff dye ink,cut it out and placed it on the card…
Thank you for visiting my blog today…Have a great day ahead…!!

Happy Birthday Flowers

I just looove the layering flower stamps by Altenew….they just need a bit of practice at the start but once you get a hang of things, the results are excellent….and if your colouring in skills are still a bit in the ‘not quite right‘ category like me,then these stamps will make you look like a pro…. 🙂
I started with a black cardstock card base and a white top layer….on the top layer I have stamped the stripes using Versamark ink and then heat embossed them with gold embossing powder..I stamped the sentiment just above the top stripe…
On a separate piece of cardstock,I stamped the Altenew Painted Flowers, cut them out and placed them on the card…I have used just three gold sequins to embellish the card…
Thank you for visiting my blog today…Have a happy and crafty day…!!
