Katzelkraft Dogs Rubber Stamps – Thank You

Once my background was ready, today’s card came together pretty quickly…that’s what I liked about using large images and sentiments on my card…so this is the third card that I have made using Katzelkraft dogs stamp set…

Me And My Daily Papercraft Blog - Handmade By Pri

I have used a plain white card base for this card and die cut the top layer using watercolour cardstock using large cross stitched rectangle die…I then used distress inks to create the background..making sure to add the blue colour in the section where I wanted to place the dog so that the image stands out..I have used blueprint sketch, old paper and ground espresso shades here…

Then using Versamark ink,I stamped the large thank you sentiment as well as a few stars and heat embossed it using gold embossing powder…the embossing wasn’t showing that well so I decided to trace around it using a white gel pen and then adhered this top layer to the card front…
On a separate piece of cardstock I stamped the dog image and coloured it in…while cutting the image,I left a little white border around it so I don’t have the same problem as I did with the sentiment…

Celebrate – Shaker Card

I’m sharing a shaker card today and I am pretty happy with how it turned out….I was able to use printed cardstock for the card base and since I didn’t use any coloured or large sequins, the stamped image shows well…

I made the card base using a silver glitter patterned cardstock and then started to assemble the elements for the shaker section of this card…for the base of the shaker I used a white cardstock and stamped the Sydney cityscape at the bottom…I then sponged in various distress inks to fully cover the base section…
I used a couple of pierced rectangle dies and white cardstock to create the shaker frame….the acetate layer is slightly smaller than this frame and I have stamped the sentiment and a few stars on it using Stazon black ink….and I created the shaker ‘well’ using some white craft foam…

Before adhering all the elements of this shaker,I added lots of clear star sequins and stamped a few stars on the frame as well….here’s a close up shot of the shaker…

Hello

To create today’s card I have used three stamps sets from three different stamp companies…the little birds are from Clearly Besotted, the atlas stamp is by Amy Tangerine and the big hello word is from an Avery Elle stamp set…if you are not restricted by brands etc. then you can mix and match to create something unique all the time…how great is that…!!

For a plain white card base,I chose a watercolor paper top layer…then using a few different shades of blue distress inks,a piece of acetate and some water,I created the background for the card…once this was dry,I stamped the atlas and hello stamp using black pigment ink and quickly heat embossed them using clear embossing powder…
On a separate piece of cardstock I stamped, coloured in and cut out the little birds and placed them onto the card…I have also applied some  glossy accents on these birds for a bit of shine…and finally I adhered a few hear sequins to embellish this card…
Thanks for visiting my blog today…Hope you will have a great day ahead….!!

Thank You

I can’t even remember how I made backgrounds for cards until I started using Distress Inks….and now I can’t stop using them…the best part is that even if everyone used the same colours, not two cards would be similar…I have been watching videos for the newly released Distress Oxide ink pads…and they look even more amazing…let’s see when I will be able to get those…my birthday probably.. 🙂

For today’s card I have chosen a peach-ish pink textured cardstock and have die cut a watercolour cardstock panel using a stitched rectangle die first and then die cut one end using the stitched scallop edges die…I then sponged in worn lipstick and weathered wood distress inks and used an embossing folder and water to create a pattern/effect on this panel…
The sentiment has been stamped using watermark ink and heat embossed with white embossing powder…I cut out the stamped and coloured in images of a pot and succulents and  placed them below the sentiment…I have used a few sequins to embellish this card…
Thanks for visiting my blog today…Have a lovely & blessed day ahead….Happy crafting…!!

Two Watercoloured Flower Cards

The cards I’m sharing today are my first few attempts at trying out the no line colouring technique..I have been very curious about it and wanted to see if I could get a hang of it….I would not consider these as examples of this technique…coz I don’t think I got the right results….but I did like the results and made a good couple of cards from them…

My first card has a bright pink card base and a watercolour paper top layer…I used a light pink distress ink and stamped the flower images on the top layer…then using a pink and green watercolour pencil I traced all the stamped edges…I also lightly coloured the stamped images and used a water brush to colour in the stamps…

I stamped the large sentiment stamp using Versamark ink and heat embossed it using gold embossing powder and rounded two opposing corners of my card…I have embellished the card using tiny pink and green sequins…

Here is my second go at the same technique…the card base is lavender and the top layer has been cut to size using watercolor paper…

I have again used a very light distress ink to stamp the large roses and a couple of leaves….then using a water brush and Peerless watercolors,I coloured in the all the stamped images…

I stamped and cut out the sentiment and placed it on the card…and to embellish the card I used Nuvo crystal drops…

Celebrate & Enjoy Your Special Day – Two Cards

Today I’m sharing  two cards…and I think the only common thing with these two is that I have used coloured cardstock to create the card base for them…this year I really want to focus on getting my heat embossing a bit better(so I’m not scared of ruining my cards anymore)….and also want to practice using alphabet stamps to create my own messages on cards…

For my first card base I chose a bright red card base and a white top layer….on the top layer,I used a stencil and some distress inks to print the dotted background – making sure I leave enough blank space at the bottom for the sentiment…
I stamped the large ‘celebrate’ word using Versamark ink and Avery Elle Big Greetings stamp set and heat embossed that using gold embossing powder…I also stamped a lot of stars and heat embossed them too…
Finally I added a border at the base of the top layer using red ink and a few gold star sequins to finish the card..

For my second card I chose and aqua green coloured card base and a watercolour paper top layer…I first stamped the large flower from Altenew Beautiful Day stamp set all around the edges of the cardstock and coloured them all in using Peerless watercolors….

I covered the center area with a greenish colour and stamped the sentiment using Mama Elephant Calli Letters alphabet stamps…I do need a lot more practice with these stamps….but they are one of the best ones I’ve used yet…

I couldn’t decide how to embellish this card so I just used a metallic silver marker and added a few dots near the flowers..
