Avery Elle Peek-A-Boo Pets – Three Cards

I was having so much fun with the Avery Elle Peek-a-boo Stamps and die set that I made three cards in one go…how good is that!!

Me And My Daily Papercraft Blog - Handmade By Pri
First I made an anniversary card using the hedgehog stamp….I stamped and coloured in the images using alcohol markers and die cut using the coordinating dies…on the plain white front panel I added a cloudy background using the MFT mini cloud edges stencil and salty ocean Oxide ink….I then die cut a circle in the front and added the embossed stitched lines as well using the Crafti Potential die set…
I stamped the sentiment on the front panel using Avery Elle simple sentiments stamp set then adhered the hedgehogs behind the circle window and added a glitter cardstock behind it…I added a couple of die cut hearts and adhered the front panel to a plain white card base…

For my second card, I die cut two small circle windows and added a green scalloped circle frame around each one ( Lawn Fawn – Mini picture frames die set)…I added the coloured in and die cut chicks and adhered some purple glitter cardstock behind them…I sponged in a bit of cracked pistachio Oxide ink to the edges of the panel and stamped the sentiment (Winnie & Walter sentimental-Love stamp set)..I added a few die cut hearts to the front panel and adhered it to the card base…

Now my third card is a simple thank you card…I used the MFT english brick wall stencil and fired brick Oxide ink to print the pattern on the front panel and then die cut a rectangle window…I also stamped a border stamp at the top of the panel…I added the little cat and dog inside the window and added some blue glitter cardstock behind them…I then stamped the sentiment )Avery Elle- Many Thanks stamp set) and adhered the front panel to the card base…to embellish this card I have added a few silver confetti sequins…

YAY – You Rock!

It’s the first month of autumn here in Australia…and I wanted to make a card with autumnal colours with a happy message on it…this card would be great for someone who has reached a personal goal or some other remarkable achievement…I am also entering this card in the current Timeout Challenge #104 where the theme of the challenge is BOLD so I reached for the Altenew caps bold alphabet die to create my card…

Me And My Daily Papercraft Blog - Handmade By Pri

I started by repeat stamping the background on the front panel for my card…I have only used one layer of the leaves and two layers of the flower here and stamped them using sand dunes, peach perfect and sunkissed crisp dye inks…I used the dotted stamp with rocky shore ink to fill in the empty spaces making sure not to crowd the stamped area…

I used a dotted rectangle die to emboss on this panel and then adhered it to a plain white card base…

Me And My Daily Papercraft Blog - Handmade By Pri

I then die cut the word ‘yay’ from white cardstock using the bold caps alphabet dies and sponged some espresso ink on it before layering it on with the white craft foam die cut and adhering it to the card front…I also stamped a small label using autumn blaze ink and adhered it over the large die cut word…
On a separate piece of white cardstock,I stamped the layered flowers and leaves and die cut them using the coordinating dies before placing them in two groups on the card front..I have used autumn blaze, fire brick and ruby red for the flowers & rocky shores and espresso for the leaves….
To embellish my card I have used a few Nuvo jewel drops..

Love Ya – Time Out Challenge #102

I kept looking at the inspiration picture provided in the latest challenge at Time Out Challenges and could’t make up my mind whether I wanted to use black and white stripes on my card or white and gold (the seat and one of the cushions)…so I decided to use both…

Me And My Daily Papercraft Blog - Handmade By Pri
This is the challenge photo and as you can see,I took a whole lot of inspiration from it..
I started by creating the front panel for my card…I cut the black and white striped paper at an angle and adhered it onto a piece of black cardstock…I then used a pierced rectangle die to neaten up the panel and cut off the excess…I adhered this panel onto a white card base…

Me And My Daily Papercraft Blog - Handmade By Pri

On a separate piece of white cardstock,I adhered white and gold lace strips that I die cut using the Lawn Fawn lacy borders die and then used a large heart die to cut out the main element of my card…I adhered this heart on the card front using some black craft foam underneath…

And finally,I stamped and gold heat embossed the sentiment on white cardstock and die cut it using the coordinating die…I also die cut the same four times from black cardstock and adhered it under the main sentiment…this was just to make sure that the sentiment doesn’t merge with the white and gold heart in the background…I placed a small red die cut heart above the sentiment and my card was ready…

I’m Thinking Of You Today – Spotlight Stamping For TFC#16

The card I’m sharing today is my take on ‘Spotlight Stamping’ which is the challenge for January at The Flower Challenge blog…I created three windows on the front panel through which you can see the coloured in images…the images on this top panel are not coloured in and so the focus goes straight to the gold coloured flowers inside the windows..

Me And My Daily Papercraft Blog - Handmade By Pri
You could also participate in this challenge by clicking here – TFC#16
I started by laying out my stamps on my MISTI so that they stamp just a half panel(except the large flower in the center)…this way I could rotate the panel 180 degrees and stamp the images on the other half easily…I created two panels this way….one stamped with black ink and the second one with picked raspberry Distress Oxide ink…
Me And My Daily Papercraft Blog - Handmade By Pri
I then used double pierced rectangle dies to create the three windows as well as the border of the front panel…on the base panel,I coloured in the flower images using gold watercolor and added some gold dots as well as a few pink die cut centers for the flowers….I then adhered this panel to a white card base…

On the back of the top panel,I added some adhesive foam strips and then placed it on the card front…I stamped the sentiment on a large die cut banner and used some more adhesive foam to place it on the card front…they don’t make much of a difference but I have added some clear Nuvo drops to embellish my card…

Sending Hugs

I really like the lacy background stamp that I have used in this card and wanted it to be the main focus…so I repeat stamped it using a few shades of pink and a few shades of blue dye inks…

Me And My Daily Papercraft Blog - Handmade By Pri
I die cut a white panel using the pierced rectangle die and then repeat stamped the lacy border using the following shades of Altenew crisp dye inks – cotton candy, puffy heart, coral berry, persian blue, caribbean sky and arctic…the Misti stamping tool came in very handy for this one..I then wrapped a piece of silver string around this panel quite a few times before adhering it to a light blue textured card base…
Me And My Daily Papercraft Blog - Handmade By Pri

I then started on the sentiment for this card…I took a piece of white cardstock and covered it with two of the inks shades that I used to create the background – cotton candy and coral berry and die cut the word ‘hugs’ from it as well as some blue craft foam and layered it before adhering it to the card front…I stamped the word sending on a small white strip and adhered it there as well…

To embellish my card I have used some clear confetti sequins in various sizes and my card was ready…

Koala Hugs

A while ago,a crafter on Instagram – Felicia( smileyface003 ) – shared some gorgeous card panels that she created using Nuvo drops liquid…she shared a tutorial video as well and I’ve had this on my ‘to try’ list since that day…I think I used less of the liquid and spread it out much thinner than I should’ve but I still love the result…

I used the red berry Nuvo liquid and and a stencil and printed the pattern onto watercolour cardstock and set it aside to dry….it took a few good hours but the result was great…so I die cut it to size for my card and then placed this panel on a light grey textured card base…be sure to wash the stencil with warm soapy water immediately…

Me And My Daily Papercraft Blog - Handmade By Pri

I stamped the Koala and baby on a separate piece of white cardstock and the coloured it in using watercolour pencils and Dove blending pen…I cut it out and adhered it to the card base using some craft foam….

I stamped the sentiment on a long thin strip of grey cardstock and adhered it to the card front..and finally to embellish my card I have used a few silver sequins…

The texture and shine from the Nuvo liquid is really awesome and I am so glad I tried it out…

Thank you for taking the time and visiting my blog today…Have a wonderful day ahead…!!

Katzelkraft Dogs Rubber Stamps – You Are My Person

I have used Distress Oxide inks and die embossing to create an interesting background for today’s card…the dogs from Katzelkraft are so cute and I made sure that the background and other elements don’t outshine the ‘hero’ of my card..

I used a light yellow textured cardstock for the card base and cut out the a panel from watercolour cardstock the same size as the card front…I then sponged in some Distress Oxide inks and splattered some large drops of water on it….I have used fired brick, fossilized amber and spiced marmalade shades of Distress Oxide..
Once the water dried on the top layer,I used double pierced rectangle nesting dies with my tan mat to emboss on the top layer…I then stamped the sentiment using black ink and placed some die cut xo’s underneath…
I stamped, coloured in and cut out the dog image and placed it on the card using some foam squares…I thought the card needed just a little something more,so I added few red star sequin to embellish it…
I’m glad you stopped by to take a look at my card….Hope you will have a beautiful day today…!!

Cute Panda Cards

I rarely buy coordinating dies for my stamps, but this stamp set came with the dies so these cards were pretty quick to make..I love these panda images…especially coz they don’t even need to be coloured in.. 🙂

My first card has a plain white card base and a watercolour cardstock top layer…I first sponged in some distress inks, leaving some white space in the center and then sponged in some hearts using a stencil..I have used candies apple, abandoned coral and spun sugar shades of Distress Inks here..I also added a few splatters of gold paint..
I then embossed the top layer using the three largest Avery Elle double pierced rectangle dies and  stamped the sentiment using black ink and then adhered this top layer to the card base…
Finally I added the die cut panda images to the card and a few sequins to embellish it…
Me And My Daily Papercraft Blog - Handmade By Pri
My second card was much simpler and quicker to make…and it’s an action wobble card…
I started with a bluish green cardstock card base and die cut watercolour cardstock using a large cross stitch rectangle die…I then sponged in some worn lipstick distress oxide at the center of the top layer…I splattered a bit of water for effect…once dry,I stamped a  lot of arrows pointing towards the center using broken china Distress Ink…
Me And My Daily Papercraft Blog - Handmade By Pri
I stamped the sentiment and used an action wobble spring at the back of the die cut panda image and adhered it to the card…I used googly eyes for the panda and to embellish this card I have used clear sequins..I have uploaded a small video of this card…if this video doesn’t work on your device then you can view it on my Instagram account

Programming Happy Times Ahead

I like using foil cardstock in my cards but they never show up good in pictures…I tried keeping my card flat but the picture didn’t look too great either..I really need tips and advice for this so let me know if you have some for me…

I started with a silver cardstock for the card base and cut out a large dotted rectangle mat layer using silver foil cardstock…I also die cut a smaller rectangle top panel on which I stamped the Wplus9 Big Top stamp twice to create the rays background…I also stamped the sentiment on this panel using blue dye ink..

On a separate piece of cardstock,I stamped the robot image and coloured it in using watercolour pencils and Dove blender pen…I then cut it out and placed it on my card..
Me And My Daily Papercraft Blog - Handmade By Pri
To embellish this card I have used a few clear sequins in various sizes..and my card was ready…
While this card did not take too long to create but as I said before – it took a long time to click a picture in which the foil cardstock shows properly…and laying it flat was the only way I could get a decent picture…what do you think..??

Two Cards Using Paper Smooches Cuties – And A Card From A Friend

Today I decided to make a clean card with a simple message and a sweet image….and not too many colours or textures…and then I wanted to make another simple card using the swipe stamping technique shown by Jennifer McGuire….also,a new friend has surprised me with a card and I was so happy to receive something so beautiful…I’m sharing a pic of her card too.. 🙂

For my first card, the card base has been made from a textured light grey cardstock and the top layer has been die cut from watercolour cardstock using Avery Elle pierced rectangle die….I created a mask using one of the Nestabilities Labels 1 die and placed it on the top layer…I then sponged in weathered wood and hickory smoke Distress inks in this masked section…
I stamped, coloured in and die cut the cute dog image from Paper Smooches Woofers and Tweeters stamp set and placed it on the coloured in section…I stamped the sentiment on a white die cut label and placed it on a larger blue die cut label using foam squares…Finally I added a few silver sequins to embellish this card…
Me And My Daily Papercraft Blog - Handmade By Pri
For my second card,I chose a plain white base and a bright blue mat layer…the top layer is white again and I have used the same two stamps with various dye inks to create the background…the swiping technique is pretty easy…to get this textured kind of stamped image all you have to do is ink the stamp and swipe it across the ink pad and quickly stamp it on the paper…so easy…I think in the past I may have un-intentionally used this technique and thrown away the result… 🙂
On a separate piece of cardstock I stamped the little chick, coloured it in and cut it out…I then heat embossed the sentiment with white embossing powder on a blue strip and layered it with a strip of purple glitter cardstock…I used the slightly wider strips on the opposite side and placed the little chick on top…
A month or so back,I had sent a birthday card to a new crafty Instagram friend Zsofia…she’s a talented crafter and a blogger(safsafdesign)… and imagine my surprise when I opened my letterbox to check the post earlier today…this gorgeous card with a sweet message inside was there for me….
Thank you Zsofia….your card is sitting on my desk at the moment…looking very pretty…and inspiring me..!!

Sending Hedgehugs Action Wobble Card

My elder daughter misses her best friend a lot and wanted to send her a card…she wanted a bright and cheerful one so I came up with this one…

For a plain white card base I chose a watercolour cardstock which I have cut the same size as the front of the card…I also used a large double pierced die to emboss this layer for a bit on texture…
Using Gansai Tambi watercolours,I painted rainbow strips on the card…was pretty happy with myself as I finally got the order of colours right…I have usually managed to muck up the order in almost every project…once the colours were dry,I adhered the panel to the card front…
On a separate piece of cardstock,I stamped the little girl and the two hedgehogs…I coloured them in using Spectrum Noir markers and cut them out and placed them on the card…I have used a mini action wobble spring for the big hedgehog…you can check out the small video for this card on my Instagram page..
To embellish the card I have used clear sequins in various sizes…adding more colour to this already colourful card didn’t make sense..

Two Flowery Cards

It’s the middle of Autumn here in Australia…and it’s so cold…which also means not many flowers around…we still have to go through winters to before we see the colourful blooms again….and in the mean time,I will make as many flower cards as I can to make me happy… 🙂

Today I’m sharing two flower cards…In the first one I have used Distress inks and water for stamping the base layer of the flowers and in the second card I have used Gansai Tambi watercolours and Spectrum Noir sparkle pen to create the sparkly wine coloured flowers…

I stamped a border stamp at an angle using pink ink and that created the section that I wanted to mask before stamping the flowers….then using the base layer of  Altenew Painted Flowers layering stamp set  and various Distress Inks and my water spritzer,I stamped the images directly onto the top layer….I have used mowed lawn and twisted citron for the leaves and abandoned coral, picked raspberry and candied apple for the flowers..
Using a heat gun I dried the stamps quickly and stamped the top layer using black ink…I stamped the sentiment using green ink on a piece of white cardstock and die cut it using the MFT stitched scalloped rectangle die…to embellish this card I have used a few pink sequins…
Me And My Daily Papercraft Blog - Handmade Card by Pri

For my second card I chose a beige textured cardstock for the card base and cut the top layer to size from the same cardstock…I then adhered a black piece of cardstock to this top layer which I have die cut using the MFT scalloped edge die…I had splattered some gold paint on this black section earlier…then to make the top layer look finished and even,I used a pierced rectangle die and ran it through my Cuttlebug…

On a separate piece of watercolour cardstock,I stamped the flower and leaf images and coloured them in using Gansai Tambi watercolours….once dry, I cut them out and placed them onto the card…I have used black craft foam to elevate a flower and some leaves…

The sentiment has been stamped on a piece of leftover beige cardstock and placed under and over a few flowers….and finally I have added a few gold sequins and a generous amount of sparkle to make the flowers shine…

Easter Bunnies

I didn’t have any Easter themed stamps so wasn’t planning on making Easter cards this year…but then I saw my MFT Somebunny stamp set and an idea started to form…I got stuck again when I needed a larger sentiment than I had for this card…and that’s where alphabet stamps came handy….and here’s the card…

Me And My Daily Papercraft Blog - Handmade By Pri

On a plain white card base I have used a yellow top layer…I stamped the sentiment right in the middle of this layer using a combination of a small word stamp and alphabet stamps….I then added the next layer above it which has been made from Vellum cut to the same size as the top layer and embossed using the quilted embossing folder….

Next,I die cut a rectangular frame from white cardstock and adhered it to the card…I also adhered tiny blue sequins on the Vellum in the area within this rectangle..

After that I stamped the cute bunnies and carrots on a separate piece of cardstock, coloured them in using watercolour pencils and my Dove blender pen and cut them out before placing them on the card…

Here’s a closer look at the how the bunny images turned out…

Celebrate – Shaker Card

I’m sharing a shaker card today and I am pretty happy with how it turned out….I was able to use printed cardstock for the card base and since I didn’t use any coloured or large sequins, the stamped image shows well…

I made the card base using a silver glitter patterned cardstock and then started to assemble the elements for the shaker section of this card…for the base of the shaker I used a white cardstock and stamped the Sydney cityscape at the bottom…I then sponged in various distress inks to fully cover the base section…
I used a couple of pierced rectangle dies and white cardstock to create the shaker frame….the acetate layer is slightly smaller than this frame and I have stamped the sentiment and a few stars on it using Stazon black ink….and I created the shaker ‘well’ using some white craft foam…
Me And My Daily Papercraft Blog - Handmade By Pri

Before adhering all the elements of this shaker,I added lots of clear star sequins and stamped a few stars on the frame as well….here’s a close up shot of the shaker…
