Tag Archive for ‘Black Embossing Powder’

Hello

To create today’s card I have used three stamps sets from three different stamp companies…the little birds are from Clearly Besotted, the atlas stamp is by Amy Tangerine and the big hello word is from an Avery Elle stamp set…if you are not restricted by brands etc. then you can mix and match to create something unique all the time…how great is that…!!

For a plain white card base,I chose a watercolor paper top layer…then using a few different shades of blue distress inks,a piece of acetate and some water,I created the background for the card…once this was dry,I stamped the atlas and hello stamp using black pigment ink and quickly heat embossed them using clear embossing powder…
On a separate piece of cardstock I stamped, coloured in and cut out the little birds and placed them onto the card…I have also applied some  glossy accents on these birds for a bit of shine…and finally I adhered a few hear sequins to embellish this card…
Thanks for visiting my blog today…Hope you will have a great day ahead….!!

Bright,Fun And Colourful Birthday Card

I enjoy making bright and colourful cards…and I think bright cards catch the attention of most people – especially kids – almost immediately…so not only are they exciting for me when I’m making them, but it’s great to see the instant reaction of the person receiving it….
I started with a bright yellow card base…then to create the top layer background,I have used distress inks on watercolour cardstock and then lightly misted the Roses embossing folder and pressed it on the inked paper….I don’t own background stamps so I love using embossing folders instead…
I stamped the sentiment with Versamark ink and used gold embossing powder to heat emboss it…then I die cut three borders in different colours from the stitched hillside dies and layered them…I placed two cut out and coloured in images of a boy and girl(In My heart-Mama Elephant Stamps)on the  layered border…
To finish the card,I die cut a few hearts from gold cardstock and adhered them randomly..
Thanks for stopping by….Have a blessed and happy day…

Sending Blessings Card

Every now and then I go through all my stamps hoping for an idea to pop up or find a stamp I haven’t used in a long time…and today I pulled out these 3D doily stamps that I haven’t used recently….
The card base is plain green and for the top layer I have used watercolour paper….I have just used  one shade of green peerless watercolour to do a kind of a wash to create the background….once the top layer was dry,I stamped the sentiment at the top…
I decided not to stamp the doily stamps directly on the top layer….so I stamped them on a separate piece of cardstock using Versamark ink and then heat embossing them with black embossing powder…then I coloured them in with bright colours and cut them out and placed them on the card using adhesive  foam squares…
To decorate the card I have simply used green rhinestones in various sizes….
Hope you liked this card….

This card would have been a simple black and white card but I added a bit of bright red just to make it eye catching….
The card base is plain black…..the top layer is white which has been stamped and heat embossed with black embossing powder…I then added a thin strip of black glitter cardstock and a strip of silver card at the base of the top layer…and stamped the sentiment at the top in red ink…
I rounded all the corners of the top layer and card base before attaching it…..and finally I added a few red rhinestones on the card….
Hope you liked this card…
