Is It Time For Cake?

It was great fun and super easy to make this birthday card using Mama Elephant stamp and dies….the stamp sets I have used are – stackable friends and big news and the die used for the background panel is the circular grid die..

I first created the front panel with Distress Inks and then die cut it before adding a dark mustard cardstock behind the panel…

On a separate piece of cardstock, I stamped and clear heat embossed the images and then coloured them in before die cutting them…I added these to the card front and stamped the sentiments as well

Thank you for checking out my blog today…hope you are able to enjoy crafting these days…take care!!

Waffle Flower Baby Cards

Oh! I could’ve kept on making cards once I started with the Waffle Flower Little One Baby stamp set…it’s one of the most adorable baby stamp set I have ever used…and I am sure this will be my ‘go to’ stamp set for baby cards from now on…

I started by stamping and heat embossing all the images I needed for my cards…then coloured them in using alcohol markers and die cut them using the coordinating dies…

For the baby boy card, I sponged in a bit of mustard seed Distress Ink at the bottom of the front panel…I then adhered the coloured in and die cut images on it and stamped the sentiment at the top of the panel…the sentiment on this card is from an old Winnie And Walter stamp set called The Big, The Bold And Baby…

For the baby girl card, I lightly sponged in some salty ocean Distress Ink in the middle of the front panel and then placed all the stamped, coloured in and die cut images on it….

6 Quick Christmas Cards

I got very inspired by a blog post from last month by my friend Therese Calvrid ( Lost In Paper blog ) when I decided to start my Christmas cards for this year….I really liked how she made the fantastic backgrounds for her cards by repeat stamping…I think it’s a great way to get into the swing of festive cardmaking…especially for someone like me who had yet to make a start.. ūüôā

I have created the backgrounds for all my cards in the same way…I first chose all the images from the stamp set that I wanted to repeat stamp… I then stamped it all over the white front panel using black¬† onyx Versafine ink and stuck these panel to a plain white card base…

On a separate piece of white cardstock, I stamped some of the same images and some other images that I wanted to place on the card front..I clear embossed and then coloured these images using my alcohol markers…

I stamped the sentiments on a red cardstock (blue cardstock for one card) using watermark ink and heat embossed them all using white embossing powder…I cut them into strips and adhered them to the card front using some adhesive foam strips for a bit of dimension…

Next, I adhered the die cut images to the cards, making sure not to add too many…I added a bit of embellishments to them all and my cards were ready…

Forever And Always – Time Out Challenge #106

It’s the second month of autumn here now, but¬† while making this card today I got a happy and spring kind of feeling…I have watercoloured the main image of my card which I have created for Time Out Chalenge #106…this one is a photo challenge and the Time Out DT have such gorgeous cards for inspiration…

Me And My Daily Papercraft Blog - Handmade By Pri

This is the image provided for the challenge and I have been able to incorporate the yellow, green and aqua colours from this image…and to add a touch of gold (the forks in the table setting), I added some gold splatters in the background..

On a piece of watercolor cardstock cut to size for the front panel,I stamped the image using Versafine black onyx ink and heat embossed it with clear embossing powder….I then used Spectrum Aqua markers to watercolour the image…I have used bud green, meadow green and aquamarine shades of markers with a water brush for colouring…

Me And My Daily Papercraft Blog - Handmade By Pri

I covered the painted image with some scrap paper and splattered some Nuvo gold mousse mixed with water…once dry,I stamped and heat embossed the sentiment as well and adhered the front panel to a plain white card base…
To embellish my card I have used some sea breeze Nuvo jewel drops and to add some shimmer to the flower image,I applied some Nuvo sparkle pen all over it…

Oh Happy Day

The card I’m sharing today is all in a single layer..no embellishments,no foam squares and no sentiment labels etc….just a simple front panel with a colourful background and some watercoloured images…

Me And My Daily Papercraft Blog - Handmade By Pri

I die cut watercolour cardstock to size using a dotted rectangle die and then stamped the three elephant images using Versafine black ink…and since it is a pigment ink,I was able to heat emboss these images using a clear embossing powder…I coloured in the elephants using Gansai Tambi watercolour and the balloons with my Spectrum Aqua markers…once dry,I added masks to these images so I could create the background..
Me And My Daily Papercraft Blog - Handmade By Pri

I have used Distress inks and the cloud stencil to create the background…the shades I have used are spiced marmalade, picked raspberry, wilted violet, salty ocean, twisted citron and abandoned coral…I then mixed a tiny bit of perfect pearls gold powder with water and splattered it on this panel and once dry,I adhered it to a plain white card base…

Me And My Daily Papercraft Blog - Handmade By Pri

I stamped the sentiment on one of the balloons and added some shine on all the images using Nuvo sparkle pen…I also added some glaze on the balloons…

Autumn Leaves

Inspired with the theme of leaves from my last card,I made another one….I like images with a lot of empty spaces for watercolouring(coz it’s easy)..but once the background panel was stamped and ready for watercolouring,I decided not to colour in the images and created the card…

Me And My Daily Papercraft Blog - Handmade By Pri
I cut the top layer from watercolour cardstock since I was going to watercolour the leaves and then stamped the various leaves using Distress Oxide ink….I have used the shades twisted citron, fossilised amber cracked pistachio, peeled paint and lucky clover..I also used clear embossing powder to heat emboss these images…and this is where I decided not to watercolour these images..
Me And My Daily Papercraft Blog - Handmade By Pri
After stamping a few dots using spiced marmalade Distress Oxide ink I adhered this panel to a plain white card base…I then stamped the sentiment on a white label with the same ink and layered it with a larger orange label and adhered it to the card front using some adhesive foam..

Time Out Challenge #93 – Breast Cancer Awareness and/or Friendship

October is Breast Cancer Awareness month and there are a lot of organisations who work really hard so that more and more women are aware of and are saved from this deadly disease…eight women in Australia die everyday due to it…Here in Australia¬†The National Breast Cancer Foundation funds research for prevention and cure…we also have the McGrath Foundation…so even if you are unable to donate or fundraise for these charities,do visit their websites as you can get a lot of information from them…

Me And My Daily Papercraft Blog - Handmade By Pri
The theme for the current challenge over at Time Out Challenges is also Breast Cancer Awareness and this time I have made quite a simple card for it…
I chose a textured pink cardstock for the top layer of my card and adhered it to my plain white card base…I then cut a white panel slightly smaller than the pink panel and stamped the sentiment on it using some picked raspberry Distress Oxide ink…I clear heat embossed it before adhering this panel to the card front…
Me And My Daily Papercraft Blog - Handmade By Pri

On a separate piece of white cardstock,I stamped the hearts from the Heart Confetti stamp set by Clearly Besotted…I used the same ink for this and clear heat embossed these heart images as well….I used the coordinating die to die cut these hearts and adhered them on the card front using some thin adhesive foam squares…

Me And My Daily Papercraft Blog - Handmade By Pri

Lastly,I cut a small strip of pink cardstock and shaped it into a ribbon shape before placing it just above the stamped sentiment…
Thanks so much for stopping by to take a look at my card today….Have lovely & blessed day ahead…!!

Time Out Challenges – CASE-ing Beverly Brown

The card I’m sharing today is my entry for Time Out Challenge #91 in which we have to CASE with our own twist a very beautiful and colourful card by Beverly Brown – the owner and designer of Uniko Stamps…creating a fun colourful stripy background was easy and to give it a bit of a design twist,I thought of a few ways and finally decided to go with this one…

Me And My Daily Papercraft Blog - Handmade By Pri

On a piece of plain white cardstock,I masked 3/4″ sections with some scrap copy paper and covered these sections with various colours of Distress Inks…I used salty ocean, wilted violet, evergreen bough, squeezed lemonade, spiced marmalade, candied apple and blueprint sketch..

Then I stamped the large doily stamp on this colourful stripy background using versafine onyx black ink and heat embossed it with some clear embossing powder…

Me And My Daily Papercraft Blog - Handmade By Pri

Time for the twist…I cut each section of the stripy background apart and adhered them onto a silver foil cardstock panel…making sure to assemble them in the right order…ha ha..

I then added this panel to a plain white card base and also added a black strip on one side of this panel…

Using some more silver foil cardstock and black craft foam,I die cut the alphabets h,b and d and adhered them onto the card front…I stamped the words ‘to you’ on a small silver banner and placed it under the die cut word/acronym..

To embellish my card I have used some sparkling clear sequins from Pretty Pink Posh…

Camp Create Day 2 – Magnificent Masking

So this is the second day of MFT Camp Create and the focus today was to create a background using the masking technique…Karolyn created a beautiful sunset horizon for her card and tutorial…and I decided to create a rainbow rays background for my card…

Me And My Daily Papercraft Blog - Handmade By Pri
I first prepared the masks for my card using some copy paper(cut to size for the card front),a ruler and pencil…I marked all the rays first and then cut them out….I adhered all the sections to a white front panel using removable adhesive tape and then removed one section at a time to colour in with Distress Inks…
The shades of Distress Inks that I have used here are – wilted violet, blueprint sketch, salty ocean, mowed lawn, squeezed lemonade, carved pumpkin and candied apple…once the panel was ready,I splattered some water as well as some diluted Nuvo gold mousse on it and then adhered it to a plain white card base…
Me And My Daily Papercraft Blog - Handmade By Pri
On a separate piece of white cardstock,I stamped the dogs, hearts and clouds images using Versafine black ink and clear heat embossed them…I then coloured them all in using Spectrum Noir markers and die cut them with the coordinating dies…I adhered some die cuts directly and some using die cut craft foam underneath for a bit of dimension…
Finally I stamped the sentiment on a die cut white fishtail banner using red ink and since I was using the Misti stamping tool,I was able to re-stamp the sentiment using watermark ink and clear emboss this as well…I cut off one end of the banner and adhered it to my card front and my card was ready…

Big Hugs – Monochromatic Card

The card I’m sharing today is not colourful at all…in fact,it just has two different shades of Yellow …I did not plan it this way from the start but once my top layer was ready, the idea popped in my head to make this one monochromatic….so I went with it…

I die cut the top layer from the same light yellow cardstock that I used for the card base…I then stamped various small flower images using fossilized amber Distress Oxide ink…and since this is a pigment ink,I was able to clear emboss the images making them look a bit brighter and shiny…

Then using more of the same ink and cardstock, I stamped the plaid pattern and die cut a panel using a scalloped border die…I mounted this panel at the top of the card using craft foam..I also stamped and die cut the sentiment and added die cut foam under that as well…
I added a couple of stamped birds and a few yellow sequins to embellish my card…
Thank you for stopping by my blog today…Hope you will have a fantastic day ahead..!!

Mirror Stamping

Over the years I have tried out mirror stamping technique so many times but it never worked for me before….maybe I wasn’t using the right ink or not doing something the right way…and it was frustrating because sometimes you just want something stamped facing the other way for the card to make sense….and this is one more quality of the MISTI stamping tool that it lets you do the mirror stamping so easily…
I have followed this tutorial by Jennifer McGuire for mirror stamping the giraffe image on my card Р Mirror stamping tutorial
The card base for my card is plain brown and the top layer has been die cut using a stitched rectangle die…I then used distress inks in various shades of green to create the background on the top layer…..
On a smaller die cut Vellum panel,I stamped a large heart image and the sentiment using Versamark ink and heat embossed it using red embossing powder…
I glued four white rhinestones on the vellum panel…that hid the glue dots that I have used to secure the panel on the top layer…lastly,I placed the two giraffe images and a little gold heart on the red heat embossed heart and the card was ready…

Sending You My Love Card

When I saw Jennifer McGuire’s video tutorial where she is teaching Faux Dimension With Stamping & Stencils,I knew I had to try it out….and once I did,I kept going and made quite a few backgrounds for my cards….esp with the stencil technique…
For today’s card I chose a white background and a white top layer….on the top layer I followed the instructions by Jennifer to create the dimension effect on the sentiment stamp…I probably needed to offset the second stamping a bit more for a better effect…
Once the sentiment was stamped and heat embossed with clear embossing powder,I covered the whole top layer with Squeezed Lemonade distress ink and then used a stencil with Mustard Seed distress ink to print the pattern…I have also added a strip of black glitter cardstock on one side of the top layer for a bit of a contrast…
On a separate piece of white cardstock I stamped, coloured in and cut out the little fox image…I have applied glossy accents on it and let it dry before placing it on the card using foam squares…

One Layer Cards

Today I’m sharing two cards with you….both are single layered ones and I’ve followed the tutorials printed in the latest issue I received of the¬†Australian Cardmaking Stamping & Papercraft Magazine Vol. 22 No. 9

The first one is on¬†Pg 56 by Cindi Gilfillian…..and she has taught how to mask a larger area on a card front and stamp on rest of the card….

I have used a plain white card base and used a shaped mask to cover one section of the card and then used a lot of large and small flower stamps and bright inks to cover the whole card….

Once the stamping was complete,I simply lifted the mask and stamped the large sentiment with bright red ink…I have also used clear sequins to decorate this card…
Me And My Daily Papercraft Blog - Handmade Card by PriCreated
Now the second card I tried from this magazine is on Pg 44 by Linda Langes called Hedgehog Balloon….the idea of these cards is to have a plain card front with a bright and colourful scene inside…
I started with a plain white card base and die cut a balloon on the front and stamped a string and adhered the stamped, coloured in and fussy-cut image of a little boy….this die cut section would see through to the inside of the card…
On the inside,I stamped the balloon images with Versamark ink and heat embossed with clear embossing powder….I then covered the whole section with Mustard Seed distress ink…then to make it more colourful,I stamped flowers in various colours…
I die cut the word ‘happy’ from blue foil cardstock and stamped the word ‘birthday’ on red cardstock and placed it on the inside of the card and the card was ready….
I had a lot of fun making these cards and I hope you liked both of them…

Sympathy cards are not for show or decoration, but to convey condolences to the recipient…to send a small heartfelt message at the time when someone has lost a loved one…so I feel these cards do not require to be overly decorated or intricate…
I recently saw a few lovely sympathy cards on Pinterest.…and even though I find them extremely hard to make,I thought I should try at least one….
I started with a plain black card base….For the top layer I used a printed cardstock and stamped and clear heat embossed the image in the center….I then covered the whole top layer with tea dye distress ink….I think it’s called the resist technique…
I added a few thin strips of paper at the top and bottom of the prepared top layer and stamped the message near the bottom before adhering it to the card….I have used a few black adhesive pearls as the only embellishments on this card…
Hope you liked this card….Please let me know what you think…..
