Me And My Daily Papercraft Blog - Handmade Card by Pri

I chose a black card base and a black top layer as well….using some scrap coloured cardstock,I cut them into 1″ strips and then cut diagonally to make the rays…after adhering these strips onto the top layer I ran it through my Cuttlebug using the pierced rectangle die..I think it’s the easiest way to neatly cut off the excess cardstock as well as giving the top layer a good finished look…

On a piece of white cardstock,I stamped, coloured in and cut out the image of the little Prince on a horse and placed it on a die cut silver circle…I have used craft foam under this circle before placing it on the card…I die cut a larger silver circle frame and placed it around the circle an cut off the part that didn’t fit on the top layer….

I stamped the sentiment on a silver banner and placed it on the card…and to embellish the card I punched a few hearts from red glitter cardstock and adhered them to the card…

Thank you for stopping by my blog today…Hope you will have a beautiful day ahead…!!

Happy Birthday Bunny

I recently discovered a stamp brand that I totally loved called Clearly Besotted….I bought a couple of stamp sets directly from them but before I could even post my first card using their stamps, they have announced closing down temporarily(from 1st Oct 2016)…I’m really looking forward to getting more stamps from them when they re-open in January 2017…
For today’s card I have used a blue card base and a white card base….using the same cardstock as the card base,I used a nesting die set called Lorraine’s Flower to die cut two different size pieces….
I then die cut two stitched circles from white cardstock and stamped the images on them…once the images were coloured in and the sentiment was stamped,I placed the white circles on the blue die cut pieces and placed them on the top layer…finally,I used a large rectangle stitch die to create the border as well as cut off the excess…
I have used blue sequins in various sizes to embellish the card…
Thanks for stopping by to take a look at my card….Have lovely & blessed day ahead…!!

My Blog’s 1st Anniversary…YAY…!!!

It is quite an exciting day for me today…..My blog has been running for a whole year now….I will credit both my daughters for encouraging me to set up this blog so I could share my creations as well as learn from the talented people all over the world….I had absolutely no idea about creating or running a blog and I feel that I’m still in the early stages of learning but it’s super exciting to reach this point… 🙂
A lot of people have constantly encouraged me over the past year and I’m thankful to each and every one of them…
To create today’s card I have used the very first die set I bought about six years ago – Spellbinders Petite Scalloped Circles – I  used the largest die in the set to create the base of the card…I have also embossed the edges with the same die using an embossing mat…The middle layer is die cut from white cardstock using the stitched circle die…I have used the smaller one of the stitched dies to create the top layer for the card…
On a separate piece of white cardstock I stamped, coloured in and cut out the little critter stamp and placed it on the card over a small banner…
Thank you so much for visiting today…Have a lovely, happy & blessed day ahead….Happy crafting…!!

So if you are into texting, tweeting etc.,then you know it’s quite normal to use abbreviation (of the whole sentence) to wish someone on their birthday….and many other greetings…
My card today has a dark pink card base and the top layer is a Stampin Up DSP called Its My Party…I die cut two sizes of stitched circles and layered them….then I die cut the alphabets H,B & D from pink glitter cardstock and adhered those to the top circle….
I then cut a gold banner and a pink banner and layered them….again I die cut 2 and U from white glitter cardstock and adhered it to the banner….this was placed under the circles….
I have used gold and pink sequins to decorate the card….the DSP is black and closely printed so there wasn’t much scope to add anything else…
Hope you liked this card….thanks for stopping by to take a look…

Post#171 Hearts Embossed Background card

I quite like the card that I’m sharing with you today….It has a few layers and things on it but it’s not too full of stuff…
The base is made from plain dark pink cardstock…..and the top layer is plain white which has been embossed with love hearts embossing folder and then I wrapped around a silver string on it before attaching it to the card base…
I then added a few layers…the first one is a large stitched circle die cut from the same pink cardstock as the card base…the second one is a smaller stitched circle die cut from silver foil cardstock…Then I die cut a red heart and placed the die cut XOXO on it along with a couple of punched hearts…
Hope you liked this card…

Post#133 White & Silver Christmas Card

The card I’m sharing with you today was among the first ones I planned to make for the holiday season….I love this cuttlebug snowflake embossing folder and it is probably the one I use most for my Christmas cards…
I started with a white card base and a white embossed top layer….and then I added a silver die cut scalloped circle with a layer of white stitched circle on top….
I die cut the sentiment from silver glitter cardstock and glued it on the top circle…and to finish the card I added a few snowflakes in silver and white…
I am quite happy with this card and it looks pretty elegant too…

A few days after I made the white and silver card, I wanted to try this design out in other colours…..So I made two more cards…..one in red, gold and aqua blue and the other in lavender, silver and aqua blue….and here they are….

Hope you liked all these cards…

Post#117 – Anniversary Card Gold & Silver

Today I’m sharing an Anniversary card in gold and silver….I wanted to try gold and silver together and see how it looks…It could’ve been finished a bit better but I still think it looks quite good…
So I started by stamping circles of various sizes with gold and silver pigment ink on vellum paper…once that dried I placed it on a silver top layer and it is held in place by silver and gold strings that I wound around both the layers…then I adhered it to the silver card base….
For the sentiment I die cut two circles using the stitched circle dies in gold and silver and stamped on the silver circle….I attached these near the base of the card….
Hope you like it…

Now this is one of those projects where I was trying out something and it turned out to be something else….happens with me a lot somehow… 🙂
Anyways….I was trying to use the clear acetate sheet, that came with one of my newly purchased stamp set, and create a circle shaker tag…..but turns out that the acetate was too thick to use with the fuse tool…and by then I had already stamped the acetate with white pigment ink …embossed it with a stitched circle die….and die cut it with a larger circle die…
So this is where I cancelled the shaker tag idea and went ahead with creating a see through tag…
I die cut two circle frames from kraft cardstock…and then attached the stamped aceate sheet between the two frames…punched a hole at the top of the tag and threaded a brown string through it…
Hope you liked it….

A lot of time was spent on this card to come up with a layout that I was happy with….I also tried out these stitch effect circle dies the first time….I really like these dies and will probably end up using them a lot…
I attached an orange panel on the front of a cream card base….and then stuck die cut circles and few circle frames in orange, brown and cream onto the front panel…I also attached a bit of gold string behind the die cut with the sentiment stamped on it…
Hope you liked this card.
