Post#195 – New Home Congratulations Card

I have only ever made one more new home congratulations card before this one…..and that was for my friend, quite a few years ago….it’s so exciting to get congratulatory messages and cards from friends and family when you buy your home…for most people a home is the biggest investment they will ever make in their lifetime…
For this card I chose a dark purple textured card base….all three layers are plain white which have been die cut using the stitched rectangles dies….on the middle layer I have used used various distress inks to create a watercolour effect..the top layer has a key stamped with gold pigment ink and heat embossed with clear embossing powder….I punched a hole near the top of the key and threaded some thin cord from it….
Once all the layers were properly adhered to the card,I stamped the sentiment on the 2nd layer and also stamped the words home sweet home on separate pieces of paper and adhered them using adhesive squares…I have used a few sequins to decorate the card as well….
Hope you liked this card….

Post#117 – Anniversary Card Gold & Silver

Today I’m sharing an Anniversary card in gold and silver….I wanted to try gold and silver together and see how it looks…It could’ve been finished a bit better but I still think it looks quite good…
So I started by stamping circles of various sizes with gold and silver pigment ink on vellum paper…once that dried I placed it on a silver top layer and it is held in place by silver and gold strings that I wound around both the layers…then I adhered it to the silver card base….
For the sentiment I die cut two circles using the stitched circle dies in gold and silver and stamped on the silver circle….I attached these near the base of the card….
Hope you like it…

I forgot that I had quite a few of the stamping gear cogs, wheels and stamps nicely stored in a container at the very back of my craft cupboard….and once I got those out, I had a few ideas going in my head…the first one was this red and gold card that I’m sharing with you today…

On the gold card base I added a cream top layer on which I stamped using the stamping gear with red ink and then gold pigment ink(not visible nicely in the photo somehow)….In the center I stamped and punched a flower with sentiment and adhered it using adhesive foam squares…I also added a couple of hearts punched from gold paper to finish the card…

Hope you liked it.
