Bright Stripes Background Birthday Card

The background for this card turned out much brighter than I had planned….and that meant I had to be extremely careful while colouring in the image of the little girl so the background doesn’t overshadow the main image….well,I did my best and here’s the result….
The card base is plain pistachio green and the top layer is plain white….I decided to cut the top layer a bit smaller than usual for this card…I used a stencil and distress inks to print the background and then placed the coloured in image on it…
On a banner,I stamped and heat embossed the sentiment using gold embossing powder…I also cut a thin strip as well as a border using gold foil cardstock and adhered them on the top layer…,to embellish the card I used red and orange sequins…
Thanks for stopping by to take a look at my card…Have a blessed day today…!!

Celebrate Your Day

I love adding butterflies on my cards and while going through the pictures of the latest cards on my Pinterest board I realised that I hadn’t made a card using butterfly stamps or dies on it lately…so I decided to make one… 🙂
The card base is made from textured peach coloured cardstock and the top layer is white…on the top layer I have used a stencil and distress inks to print the background…I then stamped the sentiment on the top layer using black ink…half of the sentiment has been stamped on a tiny banner…
I die cut a few butterflied using foil and glitter silver cardstock and placed them on the card…I also adhered a few rhinestones to embellish the card….
Thanks for visiting my blog today…Have a great day ahead….!!

Geometric Background Thankyou Card

Not every crafter is always instinctive about colour combinations and it’s ok…coz you don’t have to be…most of us learn from experience and sometimes you can look at things like photographs, flowers, etc. and get inspired….my colour inspiration  for today’s card was a stripy knit top that I bought recently… 🙂
The card base is textured dark grey cardstock…I created the background for the top layer by first applying iced spruce distress ink lightly all over and then using a stencil and mermaid lagoon distress ink to print the geometric background..
I have used silver foil cardstock to die cut the thank you word and placed it on the middle of the top layer…and to embellish the card I have used blue sequins and tiny blue rhinestones..
Thanks for visiting today…Have a happy and crafty day…!!
