Pop Up Box Card – Wish BIG

I have made pop-up box cards before…and ruined more than I made because I mucked up the base design and it wouldn’t fold flat like it should…and that was mostly due to wrong measurements while scoring or cutting…so I usually gave up…and then Lawn Fawn created a die for this box card….so all I had to do was die cut and assemble the base and start on the other elements…how good is that..??

This is my first card with the die which is called Scalloped Box Card Pop Up die so I kept things fairly simple and decided to use the other Lawn Fawn products I own for this one..

I started with a lavender textured cardstock for the box…you have to die cut it two times and attach the tabs to create the box…so easy…I also die cut two panels from the same cardstock and adhered them to the inside of the box…these are the panels that will provide the base on which to adhere all the elements…
Using a polka dots pearlised printed paper and another DSP with similar colours, I die cut all the panels for the outside and the inside of the card…all these panel dies are also included in the die set…so that is one more thing that makes it super easy to create this box card…

The card base was now ready so I pulled out a few of my Lawn Fawn stamp sets and decided to use the fairies and birds for this one…I stamped, coloured them in and cut them out…I placed a couple of banners and die cut clouds for the card…it didn’t take too long to adhere the images to the card..I used strips of clear acetate to adhere the bird so it seems like they are flying…

The best part about this card is that it easily fits into a standard envelope as the folded size of this card is 5 1/2″ X 4 1/4″

Cute Buddies Birthday Card

So this year I have planned to work a bit more on my colouring in…I am trying to learn as much as I can from watching tutorial videos by various cardmakers and practicing what I learn…for years I tried using aqua brushes for colouring in images with watercolour pencils etc. but I just couldn’t get a hang of it…so I finally got myself a Dove blender pen just to see is that would make it a bit easy for me…and luckily…it did..!!
For today’s card I chose a plain white card base and stamped the little confetti stamps all over the front using various coloured dye inks….I then used the largest cross stitched rectangle die to emboss the edges of the card…
On a separate die cut panel,I stamped the little boy and girls and coloured them in using Derwent inktense pencils and my Dove blender pen…I then used Peerless watercolours to paint the background….once the panel was dry,I stamped the sentiment and adhered some craft foam behind it before adding it to the card base….
Thanks for visiting my blog today…Have a lovely & blessed day ahead….Happy crafting…!!

Thank You Fairy Much Card

Today I’m sharing another quick card I have made using the Avery Elle Pixie Dust stamp set….this stamp set has quite a few small images of hearts, stars, wands and clouds and today I have used the stars to create the pattern on the background…
The card base is a plain pink one and I decided to use a black cardstock to create the top layer…I then stamped a lot of stars on the top layer using white pigment ink….
I then die cut two tags…one using pink cardstock and the other using Vellum…before I die cut the vellum tag,I stamped the tag image and the sentiment on it…
The little fairy has been stamped on a separate piece of cardstock, coloured in and then cut out before being placed onto the tag…I simply added a ribbon on the tag and adhere it to the to layer and the card was ready…
Thanks for stopping by to take a look…Happy crafting…!!
