After I die cut the background panel and the die cut meadow border,I covered them with various distress and oxide inks,I lifted some of the ink with a lightly wet stamp shammy..I loved the texture it creates but I think this technique would work really great with dark colours…I added some die cut birch trees to the front panel  and then adhered it to a plain white card base…I also stamped some grass using green ink on the meadow border and adhered it to the card with some craft foam for a bit of dimension..

I stamped, coloured in and cut out the elephant images and adhered them to the card front and then added the die cut and stamped sentiment just above…to embellish my cards I have used a lot of clear confetti sequins as well as some Nuvo glaze on the elephants for a bit of shine..

Pivot Pop Up Birthday Card

I have had an awesome time making this pivot pop up card…the Lawn Fawn die makes it super easy and so much fun…I had already seen how it works in a few youtube videos, but the very first time I opened my card after the pop up element was added inside it – I may have squealed like a happy  little child!!!

It was a bit hard to take pictures of how the pop up element works in this card so I’m sharing a video of my finished card first and a few photos as well…
For this card, I have used a plain white top fold card base and simply added a die cut striped purple paper from the LF Really Rainbow paper pack for the front panel…I adhered a coloured in giraffe image and stamped the sentiment directly on the panel…I have also added a little bird above that sentiment and to make the giraffe and the bird look bright and shiny,I applied some Nuvo glaze on them…

Now to the fun part…the pivot pop on the inside of the card…I just had to die cut and assemble the elements which was quite easy…but before I put it all together,I created the scene on the long pop up panel…I used Distress inks to create the background and the trees and then added the coloured in and cut out animals and the tiny die cut clouds…I also stamped the Happy Birthday sentiment on this panel…once this panel was ready,I first adhered the pop up mechanism at the center of the card inside and then adhered the panel to it…

I also added some die cut clouds and grass borders on the inside of the card as well as a tiny branch with a parrot on it and my card was ready..I did have to open and close it a few times so that the mechanism starts to work properly and after a while it did..

A Halloween Card

Many Australians have started to celebrate Halloween nowadays, but I guess it’s mostly for dressing up and having fun…I do get a few kids in costumes turning up at my door for trick or treating…but that’s about it…I have managed to make a couple of cards for Halloween this year…sharing the first one today and the second one in my next post…

I decided to make interactive Halloween cards, and this one has three flaps on the front, which when opened shows images of cute little ghosts…I have mostly used Lawn Fawn stamps and dies for this card..

I started by die cutting a front panel from white cardstock using large stitched rectangle die…I then sponged in some Distress Oxide inks to cover this panel…I have used fossilized amber, spiced marmalade and vintage photo shades here…I also splattered some gold paint on it…then, using the smallest die from Lift The Flap die set,I die cut three sections in the middle of the panel…
I die cut the word ‘happy’ from black cardstock and adhered it above the flaps and stamped the word ‘Halloween’ underneath using black ink..I also die cut the word BOO from black cardstock as well as black craft foam using an uppercase die set and adhered these above the flaps..

I used a plain white card base and lightly marked the spaces that would show once you lift the flaps…I stamped  and coloured in the ghost images and because they looked a bit dull,I masked them and used Distress Inks to create a colourful background..I have used wilted violet, carved pumpkin and evergreen bough shades of Distress Inks…
I adhered the front panel to my card base and my card was ready..

Thank you so much for taking the time to visit my blog…Have a great day ahead..Happy crafting..!!

Two Cards For Scrapbook Boutique September 2017 Challenge

So yet again I got pretty excited about this month’s challenge at the Scrapbook Boutique Blog and made two cards…For my first card I was inspired by the clouds and the white heart in the moodboard and used a cloud stencil and a heart shaped leaf stamp to create it…and my second card is an interactive shaker card with a very cute cat image from Paper Smooches..

To create my first card,I started with a white front panel and stamped and heat embossed the leaf images at the bottom of the panel…I then coloured in the leaves using blueprint sketch Distress Ink and once dry I created a mask to cover these images so I could create the background next…

I used MFT mini clouds stencil and Distress Inks to create the cloudy background…I used salty ocean and blueprint sketch shades here…

On a piece of blue foil cardstock,I stamped the sentiment using white pigment ink….once dry,I used the coordinating die and a banner die to die cut the sentiment and placed it onto the card front using some sticky craft foam underneath for dimension…

I adhered this front panel to a white card base and then added a few clear confetti to embellish it…I also used my Spectrum Noir glitter pen to add some shine to the leaves…

The second card I created is a bit of fun as I die cut a flap in the front to hide the shaker underneath…I was inspired by the cat image in the moodboard to create this card…I started by die cutting watercolour cardstock for the card front using a large stitched rectangle die…I also die cut a flap in the front…

I stamped and coloured in the cute cat image on the flap and masked it before I started to colour in the rest of the background using Distress Inks…I have used chipped sapphire, blueprint sketch and broken china shades here…I heat embossed the sentiment and also sprinkled water all over this panel for effect…

For the shaker element of my card,I first stamped the same cat upside down on the card base so it seems to be peeking and then masked it before applying some Distress Inks in the area that area…I used tumbled glass and salty ocean here..

I stamped a second sentiment here and then set about creating the shaker well using some foam tape and clear acetate…I filled up the shaker with some red heart sequins and then adhered the front panel to the card base..

I have used white Nuvo Drops to embellish my card…

I started by creating the background on a white front panel…I used a stencil and Distress Inks for it…the ink shades I used are squeezed lemonade, wild hone and spiced marmalade…I then added an orange foil cardstock frame and adhered this panel to a bright yellow card base ..
On a separate piece of white cardstock,I stamped the meditating monkey image from Katzelkraft Jungle Animals stamp set and coloured it in before cutting it out and placing it onto the card front using some adhesive foam…

I die cut the word ‘Happy’ from green glitter cardstock and layered it with a die cut from white craft foam before adhering it to the card…I stamped the rest of the sentiment on a strip of white cardstock and used foam squares to adhere it to the card as well…
To embellish my card I have simple added a few orange marmalade Nuvo Jewel Drops…
