Be Happy

Today’s card started with the colourful background that I created using the Perfect Vine stencil and some Distress Oxide inks….I wanted the background to stand out so decided to use die cut words from black glitter cardstock for the sentiment…

On a piece of white watercolour cardstock, I placed the stencil and sponged in some Distress Oxide inks….I have used the shades – picked raspberry, squeezed lemonade and spiced marmalade…I then removed the stencil and used a mini spritzer to spray some perfect pearls mixed with water….this gives the background a nice effect as well as a lot of shine…once dry, I die cut the front panel from it using a dotted rectangle die and adhered it to a plain white card base…

Next, I die cut the words ‘be’ and ‘happy’ from black glitter cardstock as well as from black craft foam and layered them before adhering to my card front…I also added two black heat embossed and die cut leaves from vellum paper which I simply coloured in using a green marker…and to embellish my card I have used a few black Nuvo drops…

With A Grateful Heart – Altenew Carnations For Timeout Challenge #107

I have used the stamps for my no.1 favourite flowers for making today’s card for the current timeout challenge…it took me a while to get my hands on this Altenew Carnation stamp set but  when I finally did,I stamped the very first flowers in shades of red which was just perfect for the yellow and teal stripy stencilled background….

My card is created for the theme of spring for this challenge but I wasn’t able to incorporate the optional twist of the one layer card this time…
I started by die cutting the front panel using a dotted rectangle die and then used the Altenew classy stripes stencil and Distress Inks to create the background…I have used squeezed lemonade and peacock feather shades here and also splattered some water for effect….I then adhered this panel to a plain white top fold card base..

I stamped the layering Carnation flowers and leaves on a separate piece of white cardstock and die cut them using the coordinating dies..I have used various Altenew crisp dye inks for these….I also  stamped a few other flowery images from this stamp set using black ink and coloured them in with my markers before die cutting them as well…once I was happy with the layout of the flowers and leaves,I adhered them to my card…I have used some foam squares under one of the flowers for a bit of dimension…
I stamped and white heat embossed the sentiment on a black strip and adhered it to my card as well…and finally I have added some black Nuvo drops to embellish my card…

Happy Birthday Ma!

It’s my mum’s 60th birthday today and I’m sharing the card I made for her…fingers crossed it has reached her by now…I was very careful with my colour choices for this card and wanted it to look elegant and beautiful as well…

Me And My Daily Papercraft Blog - Handmade By Pri

I first die cut the top layer of my card from a light grey textured cardstock using a dotted rectangle die and adhered it to a plain white card base…I started on my flowers and leaves stamping next…
I used my Misti and placed the all layers of the Build-a-flower Rose stamp on it and stamped them using various shades of Altenew crisp dye inks…I tried it out on white cardstock as well as a pale blue one and decided to use the pale blue for all my stamping…the Glad press-n-seal came in handy to easily place the flower and leaves on my card front once I was happy with the arrangement of all the elements…

I used Altenew Caps Alphabet die to die cut the word Ma (that’s what I call my mum) from white cardstock as well as white craft foam and layered them before adhering them on the card front…just above this I added a label with happy birthday stamped on it…
To embellish my card I have used some clear confetti sequins…

Let’s Celebrate You!

Sharing a quick and fun card today…the main image of the three ladies all dressed up and posing for a photo is sure to make you smile…especially the one standing the wrong way…coz there is at least one of those in a group photo who can’t figure out where the camera is…ha ha..!!

I die cut the top panel from white cardstock using the largest dotty rectangle die and stamped the image on it…I chose bright colours for colouring in once the images were coloured,I covered them with a mask and sponged in some squeezed lemonade Distress Ink at the bottom of this panel and salty ocean Distress ink with a cloud stencil at the top…I also splattered some water on the inked areas..

I stamped the sentiment above the images and adhered the panel to a plain white card base..to embellish my card I have used a few clear sequins…

The Three Amigos – Happy Birthday

The card I’m sharing today had been planned out quite a while back but I never got around to creating it….so this time when I pulled out the Three Amigos stamp set to create a birthday card,I remembered my idea sketch just in time..

On a plain white top panel,I adhered leaves that I die cut from white cardstock using MFT Wild Greenery die set…once the whole panel was covered,I used a dotted rectangle die to die cut the panel as well as get rid of all the excess parts of the die cut leaves…I then adhered this panel to a plain white card base…

On a separate piece of white card cardstock,I stamped the three critters and coloured them in using Spectrum Noir markers and then cut them out and placed them on the card front…

To embellish this card I have simply added some clear Nuvo drops…

You Make Me Happy – Fairy Slider Card

The fairy image I have used for my card today was just perfect for a slider card…so that’s what I made with it….

I started with a pink card base and a die cut watercolour cardstock top layer…I sponged in various colours of Distress Inks for the background…here I have used mowed lawn, twisted citron, spun sugar, picked raspberry and tumbled glass shades of Distress Inks…I also splattered some water and yellow watercolour for effect…
Once the top layer was dry,I die cut the section for the slider and then stamped and heat embossed the sentiment…I then proceeded to get the fairy image ready and cut out for the slider…I have used Spectrum Noir markers and sparkle pen to colour in the image..

I assembled the slider and then used craft foam under the top layer – leaving the slider section – and adhered it to the card base…I have added clear Nuvo drops to embellish my card…
I am adding a small video of my slider card here which you can see if your browser has flash player installed…else you could view it on  Instagram

Katzelkraft Dogs Rubber Stamps – You Make Me Crazy Happy

The dog image I used to make today’s card is the cutest in the set…so I used it to make a cute card…I have already shared five cards using the Katzelkraft stamp set and today is the last one…I know I will surely make lots more cards in the future using this set…if you have a favorite in the 6 cards I have shared…let me know..I’d love to hear from you 🙂

For the card base I have used a bluish green textured card stock and die cut white cardstock to the same size as my card front using the large dotted rectangle die….I then used the Altenew halftone dots stencil and broken china distress oxide ink to print the pattern in just one section of the front panel…
I used the broad chisel nib of my Spectrum Noir markers to create a small ombre effect panel from which I die cut the word crazy…I also die cut the same word using white craft foam to layer the sentiment…the rest of the sentiment has been stamped directly on the top layer using black ink…
I then adhered the coloured in dog image using craft foam as well and added a few die cut hearts to embellish this card…
Thank you so much for stopping by to take a look at my card….Have lovely & blessed day ahead…!!

Katzelkraft Dogs Rubber Stamps – What’s Shaking?

Today I’m sharing the fifth card that I have made using the Katzelkraft dogs stamp set…I think today’s card is perfect for a guy…nothing fancy and no girly colours… 🙂

On a dark grey card base,I adhered a kraft cardstock die cut top layer which is the same  size as the card front…I then cut a smaller panel from white cardstock and stamped the Wplus9 big top stamp twice using grey ink…I spattered some gold paint on this panel as well as die embossed it using a pierced rectangle die…
I adhered this panel to the card front and the adhered the coloured in and cut out dog image on it…I stamped the sentiment on a thin long white label and adhered it to the card using some foam squares..
And since I couldn’t leave it at that…I added a few clear sequins to embellish this card which I’m sure most men wouldn’t even notice…ha ha…
I just have one more card to share(for now)…which I will share in my next post…
Thank you for your visit today…I’m so glad you stopped by…Have a wonderful day ahead…!!

Friend Worth Fighting For

Looking for some inspiration to create my next card,I landed at the My Favorite Things Card Challenges blog where I saw the latest colour challenge and was immediately inspired by the colours and created this card…

Me And My Daily Papercraft Blog - Handmade By Pri
I have made so many cards, tags etc using the MFT knight in shining armor & once upon a time stamp set and these sets are definitely one of the few sets that I have used so much…isn’t it fantastic when this happens..?? 🙂
For a plain white card base,I cut out a white top layer and splattered it with various colours to create the background….I then die cut the castle wall, turret and flag from another piece of white cardstock and sponged in some weathered wood distress ink before adhering it to the card base…I used a large pierced rectangle die to cut out the extra bits off the top layer and adhered it to the card base..
On a separate piece of cardstock,I stamped knight on a horse as well as a knight with a sword..here I decided to do mirror stamping of the knight with a sword to create the scene so it looks like they are guarding the castle door…I coloured these images in using Spectrum Noir markers and and cut them out before adhering them to the card base…
I stamped the sentiment using black ink and adhered a few clear star sequins to embellish this card and my card was ready to be entered in the MFT Color Challenge #72
Thank you so much for visiting my blog today…Hope you will have a creative, happy and wonderful day..!!
