Rawr Means "I Love You" In Dinosaur!!

While making the card I’m sharing today,I had a constant smile on my face….and that was not only because these Lawn Fawn dinosaurs are super cute and the sentiment is even sweeter…it was also because this card turned out exactly as I had planned(yay!!)…I did have the coordinating dies for the two stamp sets I used in this card,so that made things a bit easier too…

I started by creating the background on my front panel with Distress Inks…I have used the following shades – antique linen, squeezed lemonade, wild honey and rusty hinge…I then used border dies and various plain coloured cardstock to create the clouds border for the top and hilly border for the bottom of the front panel…I used a large stitched rectangle die to cut of all the excess and finish off the panel neatly before adhering it to a plain white card base…

On a separate piece of white cardstock,I stamped the images I wanted to use from the Lawn Fawn ‘Rawr’ and “Critters from the past’ stamp sets and coloured them in using my Spectrum Noir markers…once I die cut and placed all the images on my card front,I stamped the sentiment..

I did not use any embellishments in my card but I did use some glossy accents on the speech bubbly, the hearts and the bows and added quite a lot of white dots using a gel pen…

I am so glad you took a bit of time to visit my blog today..Hope you will have a happy and blessed day ahead..!!

Otterly Merry Christmas Spinner & Snow Globe Card

One of the cards I’m sharing today is a spinner/slider card with a cute otter on it…I did not make many interactive cards for Christmas this year as they take a bit longer to plan and assemble and I had a lot of cards to make…and my second card is ‘almost’ a shaker card….I created the red snow globe with the cute birdies and felt it looked great without making it a shaker…

Me And My Daily Papercraft Blog - Handmade By Pri
For the spinner card,I first created the front panel using Distress Inks and a cloud stencil on a die cut white cardstock to create the background..I have used tumbled glass and shaded lilac shades here…

I then die cut another smaller panel using the stitched hillside border for the ocean…I blended some Distress Oxide inks this time…I have used blueprint sketch and salty ocean..I did this mainly to make the sky and the ocean distinct but I wasn’t able to show it well in the pictures I clicked..

After creating a die cut channel for the slider,I used one of the stitched trails die to create some patterns on this panel and stamped the sentiment using black ink..

Me And My Daily Papercraft Blog - Handmade By Pri
I stamped, coloured in and die cut the otter and a little bird and then used double layer of  foam tape to adhered the wave section to the card front…I added the spinner disc behind the otter and adhered it to a die cut circle which makes it spin and slide in the channel…I then adhered the little bird on the panel with the clouds on it…
By the time I realised that these pictures and video were clicked when I hadn’t embellished this card,I had already posted it…but I assure you,I have added some red Nuvo drops to embellish it…Here is a small video of my spinner card…just in case you are unable to view it in this browser you can view it on my Instagram or Facebook account..
My second card has a very sparkly background that I have die cut from white glitter cardstock and adhered to a plain white card base…I then used a bright red plain cardstock to die cut two scalloped banners as well and the stamped snow globe…
I have used some Distress Inks to create the background of the snow globe and then added the coloured in and die cut birds and the branch to it…I simply adhered this snow globe to my card front and my card was ready…and since this card was already quite bright and glittery,I did not add any embellishments on it..

Freezy Fellas – Three Cards

Today I am sharing three cards with you….and all three have the very cute snowmen from the Paper Smooches stamp set called Freezy Fellas…I have really enjoyed making these cards and have made a lot more using this set and that’s because these snowmen didn’t need to be coloured in – except their accessories and noses…

Me And My Daily Papercraft Blog - Handmade By Pri
I stamped and coloured in the moose(from Paper Smooches Chubby Chum Pals set) on the front panel and masked it before creating the background for my card…I  used the following Distress inks for it – squeezed lemonade, blueprint sketch, wilted violet and black soot and addded some white paint splatters as well…I adhered a die cut white glitter panel to the base of this panel using the hillside border die and then die cut it using a dotted rectangle die and adhered it to a white card base..

I added the three snowmen to create the scene and stamped the sentiment just above the moose..I also adhered a holly leaf and berries die cut image at the top right of my card…to embellish the card,I used a die cut red heart as well as some clear confetti sequins…
Me And My Daily Papercraft Blog - Handmade By Pri

My second card was much quicker than the first card…I used the Altenew graffiti stencil and salty ocean Distress Ink to print the pattern on the front panel and then stamped the sentiment using crimson crisp dye ink…I stamped a lot of snowflakes on this panel and then adhered it to the card base…
I stamped, coloured in and die cut the snowman and the holly leaf bunches and adhered them to my card and finally to embellish my card I have used tiny blue rhinestones in the middle of all the snowflakes

Me And My Daily Papercraft Blog - Handmade By Pri

Now on my third card I decided not to create a background with inks but a background with a die….so I cut out the front panel from gold glitter cardstock and die cut a section of it using the snowfall die from MFT and adhered it to the white card base..
I stamped, coloured in and die cut the snowman and holly leaves and adhered them to the card front and then die cut the word ‘merry’ from a separate piece of cardstock on which I had sponged in some salty ocean Distress Oxide ink and splattered with water…I  die cut the same alphabets from light blue craft foam and layered them before adhering to the card…I stamped the banner ‘christmas’ stamp with salty ocean ink as well and cut it out and adhered it under the word ‘merry’ and my card was ready..

I will be entering these cards in the Paper Smooches monthly challenge – www.papersmooches.net – as the theme of this month’s challenge is ‘Winter’…

Have A Roaring Good Birthday

Every time I create a card using the Lawn Fawn critters stamps,I get great results without too much effort…how good is that…??

I started with a top fold white card base and die cut watercolour cardstock top layer…I then colour washed this top layer panel with blue watercolour and used a heat gun to quickly dry it…I was hoping for an ombre effect but it just didn’t happen today as well…so I decided to emboss it using the next level embossing folder…
I added a few die cut birch trees on one side of the top layer and also die cut green cardstock for the base using the pierced rectangle die first and then the hillside border die..I stamped the sentiment and the grass stamp repeatedly on this green panel and before adhering it to the top layer…
On a separate piece of cardstock,I stamped the lion and the little bird and coloured them in and cut them out…I applied some glossy accents on these two and once dry,I adhered them onto the card..
To embellish my card I have used some sea breeze Nuvo jewel drops…
Thanks so much for stopping by to take a look at my card….Have lovely & blessed day ahead…!!

Somebunny Thinks You’re Special

I was just trying out the Pale Aqua watercolour(no.50)from my Gansai Tambi watercolour set to test out how it looked and made some diagonal stripes with a wide brush on a piece of white cardstock…I liked the result and used it as a background for my card….

I chose a kraft cardstock to make the card base and die cut three sections from green cardstock using the Lawn Fawn stitched hillside borders dies….I layered these sections on the painted top layer…

I stamped the little bunny and chick on a separate piece of cardstock and coloured them in before cutting them out and placing them onto the card…I have applied some glossy accents on them for a bit of shine…
I stamped the sentiment on the top layer using black ink and stamped a couple of red hearts as well….and finally I have used black Nuvo Crystal drops to embellish this card…

What could I do for you?

I am not Super-woman or have any magical powers but there a few people in my life for whom I know that I’d do almost anything in their time of need…they are the silent ones who stand by me and offer unconditional support that too without influencing any of my decisions…
The card I’m sharing today has a plain white card base and a watercolor paper top layer….I then used distress inks to create the background including a bit of masking to create the heavily clouded sky
Using the Lawn fawn hillside border dies and some brown and kraft cardstock,I die cut the hilly base…so once the top layer was ready I ran it through my Cuttlebug using a stitched rectangle die…
On a separate piece of cardstock I stamped and coloured in the dragon, the prince and the princess and cut them out before placing them on the card…I also added a die cut tree next to the princess…
Finally I added the sentiment on a tag…added a bit of bakers twine and adhered it to the card…
I’m glad you stopped by my blog to take a look at my card….Hope you will have a beautiful day ahead…!!

The Merry Snowmen

It’s summers in Australia at the moment and becomes a bit hard to imagine snowfall and snowmen at Christmastime…but there is no shortage of Christmas joy, celebrations and happiness in the holiday season here….all the primary and secondary school children will finish their school year in a weeks time and are looking forward to summer holidays before the new session/grade begins at the end of January…people and businesses had already started putting up decorations a month ago…
Today I’m sharing a cheerful card with three cute snowmen…the card base is plain lavender and I have die cut watercolour cardstock to size using the largest stitched rectangle die…then I used distress inks, water and a piece of acetate to smoosh the ink onto the top layer..I also splattered quite a bit of purple ink and set it adise to dry …
Using the hillside borders die,I created three hills in various shades of blue and adhered them to the top layer…I stamped, coloured in and cut out the three snowmen and placed them on the card..
The sentiment has been stamped with Versamark ink and heat embossed using a purple embossing powder…and finally I have used purple snowflake die cuts and a few rhinestones to embellish this card…
Thanks a lot for visiting my blog today…Hope you will have a great day ahead….Happy crafting..!!

Lawn Fawn Critters – Friends

As soon as I showed the completed card to my hubby and kids, there was quite a bit of a discussion  on whether a lion and a leopard would be friends or not…well, the card was ready but we kept discussing the lion-leopard friendship….I thought they would be great friends….what do you think…would they be friends because they have so many similar traits or would they be rivals due to the same…??
I chose a bright orange card base for my card and a die cut watercolor cardstock for the top layer…I then used distress ink and water on a small bit of acetate sheet and smooshed the ink onto the watercolor paper…
Once the top layer was dry,I die cut three different colours of cardstock using the hillside border dies and adhered them on it…I stamped the sentiment on one side and the sun on the other…
I stamped the lion and the leopard on a separate piece of cardstock and coloured them in using Spectrum Noir markers and then cut them out…I then covered both these images with glossy accents and set them aside to dry before placing then on the card…

Little Girl In The Meadows Birthday Card

I am so happy to share this card today….I usually find small dies cuts a bit too challenging so I try n stay away….but the little trees dies from MFT are just too cute and I had to create something lovely from it…
The card base is plain white and the top layer is textured light pink and has been die cut using the stitched border die….I used a smaller watercolour panel to create the hillside scene using distress inks, hillside border dies and trees dies….I also placed a little girl who seems to be sitting on the ground…
Finally I die cut a scalloped border using two consecutive dies and white cardstock and added it to the completed panel… once the panel was adhered to the top layer,I stamped the sentiment on a small banner and attached it to the card front…
Thanks so much for visiting my blog today…Hope you will have a great day ahead….!!

Let’s Go Chill Out!!

Little critter stamps are my absolute favorites these days….and there are way too many cute ones available from a whole lot of stamp brands….the ones I’ve used today are from Paper Smooches and the stamp set I’ve used is called Chilly Chums…
The card base is from bright purple textured cardstock and the top layer is plain white…..I then stamped the images directly onto the top layer making sure to mask the Penguin in the middle before stamping the Walrus and the Seal and coloured them in….I used a stitched hillside border die to create the blue wave at the bottom…
I stamped the sentiment using black ink and used tiny dots stamps to fill up the background and a few purple sequins to embellish the card…

Birthday Wishes Card

Today I’m sharing another bright and colourful birthday card….I have used abandoned coral distress ink to create the background for this card using the smoosh watercolour technique…
For this technique I die cut a piece of watercolor paper using the stitched rectangle die and then chose an acetate sheet approximately the same size and dabbed on some distress ink directly from the inkpad…I spritzed some water on the acetate sheet and quickly transferred the watery ink onto the watercolor paper..
Once the ink was dry,I stamped the sentiment with Versamark ink and heat embossed it using gold embossing powder…I then adhered the top layer to a peach coloured card base….
I die cut a few leaves and sponged them with yellow and green shades of distress inks…I also stamped and coloured in an image of little girl using a gorjuss mini stamp and cut it out….I have used mama elephant confetti die and gold foil cardstock to die cut a few sequins as well…
Once everything was ready,I started adding then to the top layer…I started with a gold string and then placed the leaves before adding the little girl image on top….finally I added a few sequins to decorate the card…

A Very Special Birthday Card

Today is a very special day…my elder daughter has turned 13 – a teenager now….can’t believe how time flies…I can clearly remember being all excited about my 13th birthday so I’m guessing it’s still a big deal for most kids… 🙂
The card that I’m sharing today is a bright and colourful one….the card base is plain orange and the top layer is a printed cardstock…I cut out the top layer in a way that the cloud print shows and becomes the background for the scene…
I then die cut four strips of paper in different shades of green using the stitched hillside borders dies and layered them at the base of the top layer….I stamped the images with the sentiments on a separate piece of white cardstock and coloured then in before cutting out and placing them on the card…
I have decorated the card with some die cut gold sequins…

Bright,Fun And Colourful Birthday Card

I enjoy making bright and colourful cards…and I think bright cards catch the attention of most people – especially kids – almost immediately…so not only are they exciting for me when I’m making them, but it’s great to see the instant reaction of the person receiving it….
I started with a bright yellow card base…then to create the top layer background,I have used distress inks on watercolour cardstock and then lightly misted the Roses embossing folder and pressed it on the inked paper….I don’t own background stamps so I love using embossing folders instead…
I stamped the sentiment with Versamark ink and used gold embossing powder to heat emboss it…then I die cut three borders in different colours from the stitched hillside dies and layered them…I placed two cut out and coloured in images of a boy and girl(In My heart-Mama Elephant Stamps)on the  layered border…
To finish the card,I die cut a few hearts from gold cardstock and adhered them randomly..
Thanks for stopping by….Have a blessed and happy day…

Happy Mother’s Day

It’s Mother’s Day today….so here’s wishing all the moms all over the world a very Happy Mother’s Day..!!
My mum and I have been discussing flowers and gardens a lot these past few months….so I decided to make a card with that in mind….I chose a green card base….the top layer is white and has been covered with vellum paper which has been embossed using the Swiss Dots embossing folder….I then die cut two panels from a printed stripes card stock using the stitched hillside border dies and placed then on the top layer…
On a separate piece of white cardstock I stamped the Small Gerbera stamp three times using Versamark ink and heat embossed it with black embossing powder…I coloured them in using peerless watercolors and cut them out and placed them on the card…I also die cut two leaves using green glitter cardstock and placed them near the flowers…
Finally I stamped the sentiment on a small strip of paper and placed it on the card as well…
Thanks for stopping by to take a look…Have a great day……
