You Brighten My Day

I’m sharing a simple watercoloured card today…I have been practicing with my Aqua markers these days and I feel that I can water colour in smaller images better with these markers and a water brush rather than colouring directly with a paint brush…also I was quite happy that I was able to keep my front panel clean and smudge free… šŸ™‚

I started by stamping and heat embossing the large image on a watercolour cardstock front panel..I then coloured it in with the Spectrum Aqua markers and a water brush and once dry,I embossedĀ  the edges using the double stitched rectangle die….I stamped the sentiment on using Altenew tide blue crisp ink and then adhered this panel onto a plain white card base…

On a separate piece of watercolour cardstock,I stamped and heat embossed the two butterfly images and coloured these with Aqua markers as well and then cut them out and placed them on my card using some adhesive dots…and finally I used my clear sparkle pen to add a bit of shimmer to the images…

Many Thank Ewes

Aren’t these little sheep/ewes absolutely adorable??They are from the MFT stamp set called Ewe And Me Forever….I was going to make this a love theme card as well but changed my mind and made it a thank you card instead… šŸ™‚

Firstly,I created the background on the front panel using Distress Oxide inks….I used peacock feather, cracked pistachio and salty ocean shades here…I then embossed this panel using a geometric WRMK next level embossing folder…and finally I applied some Nuvo gold mousse mixed with a bit of water on this panel with a wide paint brush…I also splattered some of it on the panel and once dry,I adhered this panel to a plain white card base…

On a separate piece of white cardstock,I stamped the three ewes and coloured them in using Gansai Tambi watercolours…I die cut them with the coordinating dies and also die cut some trees to create the scene on my card…

I didn’t want to cover the background panel with a hill style panel for the sheep and I still wanted the sheep and the trees to be ‘on’ something rather than just simply stuck onto my card….so,I used a scalloped edge die as well as a stitched edge die of the same curvy shape and die cut a thin strip from gold foil cardstock and once it was adhered to my card front,I added all the threes and two of the sheep die cuts…

I stamped the sentiment on a small label that I had die cut from gold foil cardstock as well and then added the third ewe just above it…and finally, embellish my card I have simply added some gold Nuvo drops…

Altenew Ranunculus – Love & Hugs

After using the Nuvo gold mousse for a few cards in which I tried out a paint like consistency and even thick consistency like an embossing paste,I wanted to try something ‘in-between’…so that was the idea for the background panel for this card…the main flower image is from the Altenew build-a-flower Ranunculus set…

I have two background panels for this card…there is a black panel on which I have embossed repeatedly with stitched border edge die and then I have a smaller kraft cardstock panel on which IĀ  first die cut with a scalloped edge die and then used the grid stencil and Nuvo mousse to create this slightly textured look…I layered these two panels and adhered them to a Kraft cardstock card base…
I stamped the two flowers and leaves on a separate piece of white cardstock using the Altenew crisp die inks…for the first flower I used cotton candy, purple wine and puffy heart shades and for the second one I used peach perfect, coral berry and cosmic berry inks…I die cut them and adhered them to the card front…

I gold heat embossed the sentiment on a black rectangular label and layered it with a slightly larger red layer and adhered it to the card front…I have used a piece of back craft foam underneath for a bit of dimension…
To embellish my card I have applied just a few Nuvo gold drops…
I’m super glad you stopped by to take a look at my card today….Hope you will have a beautiful day ahead…!!

A Shaker Card And Three Shaker Tags

I love it when I can make a whole heap of different cards from just one or a couple of stamp sets…and I have done that using these MFT Once upon a time and Knight in shining armor stamp sets…today I was making just a shaker card but then thought the images would look cute on shaker tags…so made those as well..

For the card I chose a dark pink card base and a light green textured cardstock for the top layer…I embossed the top layer using the WRMK next level embossing folder and then started to prepare my shaker section…
The base of the shaker is white but has been sponged with mowed lawn Distress Ink..I coloured in cut out and placed the princess image on this layer and die cut a rectangle frame using some craft foam then added the sequins and closed the shaker using acetate…I die cut another frame from pink glitter cardstock and adhered it above the acetate and then adhered the whole shaker to the card front…
All I had to do now was to add the sentiment…I stamped it on a small label using pink ink and placed it on the shaker…

And these are the tags that I created after making the card…I was very surprised how quickly I was able to make these …
Me And My Daily Papercraft Blog - Handmade By Pri
I first die cut three tags from water colour cardstock and sponged the edges using Distress Oxide inks…I have used wilted violet, broken china and cracked pistachio here…

Next,I stamped and coloured in the images on a separate piece of white cardstock and cut them out before adhering them onto the tags…

Then using plastic pockets and my fuse tool,I created the shakers and filled them up with various star sequins and sealed the pockets…I added matching ribbons and sentiments onto these tags and they were ready…

Big Hugs – Monochromatic Card

The card I’m sharing today is not colourful at all…in fact,it just has two different shades of Yellow …I did not plan it this way from the start but once my top layer was ready, the idea popped in my head to make this one monochromatic….so I went with it…

I die cut the top layer from the same light yellow cardstock that I used for the card base…I then stamped various small flower images using fossilized amber Distress Oxide ink…and since this is a pigment ink,I was able to clear emboss the images making them look a bit brighter and shiny…

Then using more of the same ink and cardstock, I stamped the plaid pattern and die cut a panel using a scalloped border die…I mounted this panel at the top of the card using craft foam..I also stamped and die cut the sentiment and added die cut foam under that as well…
I added a couple of stamped birds and a few yellow sequins to embellish my card…
Thank you for stopping by my blog today…Hope you will have a fantastic day ahead..!!

Magical Adventure

Every time I make a card like the one I’m sharing today,I am reminded of my childhood when we used a lot of imagination rather than technology and had a grand time playing with our friends…making up stories and playacting them…we could be anything we wanted as long as we could imagine it…I do hope little kids still love Ā reading or listening to fairy tales and such just like we did…

I chose a light yellow card base for today’s card and a watercolour cardstock top layer cut to the same size as the card front…I then sponged in some distress inks to create the background…I have used the following shades – tea dye, iced spruce and bundled sage…I sprinkled some water on this watercolour panel and quickly dried it using my heat gun…

I then stamped the sentiment using Versamark ink and heat embossed it using gold embossing powder…I stamped a lot of stars and heat embossed them in gold as well…

At the bottom of this panel I placed two scalloped die cut borders from white cardstock and sponged some Distress Inks on them..I have used twisted citron, mowed lawn and squeezed lemonade …I then stamped the knight, the castle and the dragon on a separate piece of cardstock, coloured them in and cut them out and placed them on the card and my card was ready…

Here is a close up view of my card…

Thank You

I can’t even remember how I made backgrounds for cards until I started using Distress Inks….and now I can’t stop using them…the best part is that even if everyone used the same colours, not two cards would be similar…I have been watching videos for the newly released Distress Oxide ink pads…and they look even more amazing…let’s see when I will be able to get those…my birthday probably.. šŸ™‚

For today’s card I have chosen a peach-ish pink textured cardstock and have die cut a watercolour cardstock panel using a stitched rectangle die first and then die cut one end using the stitched scallop edges die…I then sponged in worn lipstick and weathered wood distress inks and used an embossing folder and water to create a pattern/effect on this panel…
The sentiment has been stamped using watermark ink and heat embossed with white embossing powder…I cut out the stamped and coloured in images of a pot and succulents and Ā placed them below the sentiment…I have used a few sequins to embellish this card…

Thank You For Your Hospitality

I made today’s card using another lovely stamp set by Jane’s Doodles called Home Sweet Home..I love the two house images and the apartment block…and there are so many possibilities with these kind of stamps…especially when you use them with other stamps and/or images…
The card base is plain white and I decided not to have a top layer for this card….what I did instead was die cut a bit of green cardstock and placed it at the bottom of the card…I stamped the sentiment on this section using black ink…
On a separate piece of cardstock I stamped the images and coloured them in using my Spectrum Noir markers and applied a bit of sparkle on them as well…it looks beautiful in person…maybe you can notice a bit of shimmer in these houses…
After cutting out these houses and placing them onto the green die cut section,I thought this card need just a little bit of something…embellishments weren’t working somehow so I simply stamped the sun directly onto the card and coloured it in using pencils as my markers would’ve shown through on inside of the card…
Thanks a lot for stopping by to take a look at my card….Have lovely & blessed day ahead…!!Ā
