Forever And Always – Time Out Challenge #106

It’s the second month of autumn here now, but  while making this card today I got a happy and spring kind of feeling…I have watercoloured the main image of my card which I have created for Time Out Chalenge #106…this one is a photo challenge and the Time Out DT have such gorgeous cards for inspiration…

This is the image provided for the challenge and I have been able to incorporate the yellow, green and aqua colours from this image…and to add a touch of gold (the forks in the table setting), I added some gold splatters in the background..

On a piece of watercolor cardstock cut to size for the front panel,I stamped the image using Versafine black onyx ink and heat embossed it with clear embossing powder….I then used Spectrum Aqua markers to watercolour the image…I have used bud green, meadow green and aquamarine shades of markers with a water brush for colouring…

I covered the painted image with some scrap paper and splattered some Nuvo gold mousse mixed with water…once dry,I stamped and heat embossed the sentiment as well and adhered the front panel to a plain white card base…
To embellish my card I have used some sea breeze Nuvo jewel drops and to add some shimmer to the flower image,I applied some Nuvo sparkle pen all over it…

You Float My Boat!

It’s summers in Australia…and summers means that the ice cream consumption of our country skyrockets…anyways, for my card today I have used the cone building stamp set to create a kind of a sailboat to go with my sentiment and the border die that I have used repeatedly to resemble waves…

Me And My Daily Papercraft Blog - Handmade By Pri

I first die cut the border from white cardstock four times and adhered it to a white panel….I added this panel to a white cardbase and the stamped the images using various colours of Altenew dye inks and then die cut these images using the coordinating dies…for a bit of dimension,I used adhesive foam squares to add these images to my card front…

I stamped the sentiment using crimson dye ink and then added some bright red Nuvo drops to embellish my card…

Thank You Feathers Card For Time Out Challenge #92

There is a new ‘inspired by words’ challenge at the Time Out Challenges Blog and I was really inspired by guest designer Carol’s card for this challenge…I also wanted to try out the Embossed Impressions technique as shown by Jennifer McGuire in one of her tutorials recently…

Me And My Daily Papercraft Blog - Handmade By Pri

I started by embossing two of the feather dies from Wplus9 Fanciful Feathers Die set using watermark ink onto a watercolour cardstock front panel and then quickly heat embossing those with gold embossing powder…I then used my Crayola Fine Line Markers and a waterbrush to colour them in…

Me And My Daily Papercraft Blog - Handmade By Pri

Once dry,I masked these feathers and then splattered a bit of colour and some gold paint on the front panel…to use the same colours for the splatters,I simply scribbled the same crayola markers I coloured in the feathers with,on an acrylic block and mixed them with a  bit of water…

I then die cut a feather from gold foil cardstock and adhered it to the panel before adding this panel to a plain white card base…I die cut the word Thank you from some coloured glitter cardstock and layered it with a white die cut before adhering them onto the card front…
I also adhered a thin strip of the same glitter cardstock on one side of the front panel…

To embellish my card I have used a few Nuvo Jewel Drops…

Fairy Birthday Wishes

I am so happy with today’s card as it turned out almost as planned…I had bought this mushroom stamp set (You’re A Fungi by Hero Arts) especially for my fairy stamps and I’m so glad I did…

For a textured pink card base I chose a watercolour cardstock top layer the same size as the card front…I then sponged in some Distress inks to cover the top layer…I have used spun sugar, picked raspberry and abandoned coral here…I also sprinkled some water for a bit of effect…

I die cut a grassy border from green glitter cardstock and adhered it to the base of the top layer..I also die cut the word ‘fairy’ from silver glitter cardstock as well as pink craft foam using lowercase alphabet dies and adhered it to the card…I stamped the rest of the sentiment on a silver label…

On a separate piece of white cardstock,I stamped and coloured in the fairy images…I cut them out and placed them on the card…I have used foam squares on some of them for a bit of dimension…

Finally I used Nuvo jewel drops, glossy accents and sparkle pen to embellish my card…

On a separate piece of white cardstock,I stamped the meditating monkey image from Katzelkraft Jungle Animals stamp set and coloured it in before cutting it out and placing it onto the card front using some adhesive foam…

Have A Roaring Good Birthday

Every time I create a card using the Lawn Fawn critters stamps,I get great results without too much effort…how good is that…??

I started with a top fold white card base and die cut watercolour cardstock top layer…I then colour washed this top layer panel with blue watercolour and used a heat gun to quickly dry it…I was hoping for an ombre effect but it just didn’t happen today as well…so I decided to emboss it using the next level embossing folder…
I added a few die cut birch trees on one side of the top layer and also die cut green cardstock for the base using the pierced rectangle die first and then the hillside border die..I stamped the sentiment and the grass stamp repeatedly on this green panel and before adhering it to the top layer…
On a separate piece of cardstock,I stamped the lion and the little bird and coloured them in and cut them out…I applied some glossy accents on these two and once dry,I adhered them onto the card..
To embellish my card I have used some sea breeze Nuvo jewel drops…
Thanks so much for stopping by to take a look at my card….Have lovely & blessed day ahead…!!

Cards For Friends

The card’s I’m sharing today have a common theme – they are for giving to friends – but the cards themselves are quite different from one another…in the first card I tried out light colours for the masked background and in the second card I have used kraft cardstock and a flower layering stamp set…

My first card is a simple one layer card and I have tried out the Masked Inking technique as shown in the tutorial by Jennifer McGuire..this is a great idea for adding depth and interest in a single layer card…

On a plain white card,I first stamped my images using black ink and coloured them in using light coloured pencils…I decided not to colour in the fairy itself so that it can stand out better and there are no colour clashes with the background….I then cut out masks for these stamped images and placed them on the card…
I then used some washi tape to mask two edges of the card and then used squeezed lemonade and salty ocean in the unmasked area taking care to slowly fade the colours near the top of the card and leave some white space as well….
Once all the masks were removed, the card was almost ready…all I had to do was add some Nuvo jewel drops to it…

For my second card I have used a kraft cardstock card base and the same for the top layer….using a brown dye ink and the base layer of a layering flower stamp,I repeat stamped to create the background..I added a few dots with white gel pen in between the flowers…
I then stamped the sentiment on wide white strip of cardstock and stamped a flower next to it…after colouring in the flower using Prismacolor pencils,I cut out the excess cardstock leaving one section still connected to the sentiment section…
I stamped, coloured in and cut out another flower and placed it behind the sentiment before adhering it to the card front…just added a few Nuvo jewel drops to embellish this card..

Scrapbook Boutique April Challenge

For the April challenge at Scrapbook Boutique blog, the moodboard theme is ‘pastels’….for a minute I thought I would actually be giving it a miss…I usually go for bright colours and haven’t tried anything much with pastels….so I went through the blog hop yet again looking for ideas from the DT…

I was inspired by Therese’s white heat embossed image,Linda’s choice of Distress Oxide shades for water colouring and added a tag to my project after being inspired by Louise’s layout…of course I added my imagination as well and here’s what I managed to create…

Me And My Daily Papercraft Blog - Handmade By Pri
I chose a plain white card base and a white top layer the same size as the card front…I first splattered some fossilized amber distress oxide ink mixed with a bit of water and set it aside to dry…
On a separate piece of white cardstock,I stamped the three butterflies using Versamark ink and heat embossed them using white embossing powder…I then used worn lipstick, broken china and wilted violet distress oxide inks to watercolour these butterflies and cut them out once they were dry…
Me And My Daily Papercraft Blog - Handmade By Pri

I cut three wide strips from textured pastel coloured cardstock and used a fringe scissor to add a fringe on one end of these strips before layering them and adhering them to the front layer…I used a large rectangle stitched die to create a border as well as to get rid of the excess….

I then stamped the sentiment on a small tag and adhered it to the card front and used glue dots to adhere the butterflies…and finally I have used Nuvo sea breeze jewel drops to the butterflies which was just perfect for this card…
