I think gold heat embossing powder is slowly becoming my favourite kind of embossing powder to use on cards….I love how it instantly brightens and highlights everything you emboss with it…it has taken me a while to get a hang of these powders, but now I think I’m able to get almost perfect results…
I started by rounding only two corners of the white card base and the top layer of the card….I then stamped the roses and leaves stamps on the top layer using Versamark ink and heat embossed them with gold embossing powder…
To colour in the roses,I decided to use Peerless watercolours…..once the colours were dry,I stamped the sentiment using pink dye ink…
I have used a strip of glitter gold cardstock on one side and a few pink adhesive pearls to decorate the card..
Hope you liked this card…..

Post#152 Black & Colourful Birthday Card

Black cardstock has always been a bit tricky for me to make cards from….something or the other usually goes wrong…especially while stamping….So this time I managed to make a black card with no mistakes….mainly because I did not use stamps on it… 🙂 🙂
The card base and top layer has been rounded on two corners only….and on the top layer I have added strips of brightly coloured paper made by using Peerless watercolors…
The sentiment has been die cut from green glitter cardstock and adhered to the card…..I have added sequins in various sizes all over the card as well…
Even though it’s a black card,I feel it looks really bright and colourful…Hope you like it as much as I do…

Post#144 DIY Background Birthday Card

This card was so much fun to create…..mainly the background….all you need is some water soluble colour and a drinking straw…and very soon you will have one of a kind background ready for your card…
I used Peerless watercolors and a Pentel Aquash water brush…after picking up the colour I wanted,I dropped a few drops of colour on the card..it’s easier with the water brush….and then the fun started…I took a drinking straw and blew air over these droplets….very soon the water started running/spreading in all directions…I did the same with 2-3 more colours…
Since the background is the hero of this card,I did not want to hide it under unnecessary embellishments,so I simply adhered a die cut word ‘happy’ from gold cardstock and stamped the word ‘birthday’ under it…
There is a layered gold and orange butterfly and a couple of tiny ones on the card…on one side is a strip of gold and red cardstock…
This is a fun technique to try with kids…you could even create your own wrapping paper this way…
Hope you liked this card…

Post#142 Dream Catcher Encouragement Card

Post#140 Thank You For Your Kindness

At the start of this year,I’d like to thank everyone who has encouraged me a lot with their kind words and appreciation….means a lot to me….

The card I’m sharing today is made from Kraft cardstock….the top layer has been stamped with tangerine ink and a leaf stamp repeatedly to create the background….Then I randomly coloured a piece of paper with peerless watercolors and die cut them with a leaf die….

I have arranged a gold string on the top layer and attached it as well as the two leaves…the sentiment has been stamped on a gold cardstock label… added a few sequins as well…

Hope you liked this card…

Thank you for stopping by to take a look…

Post#101 – Love You Polaroid Card

I wanted to make a card with a lot of colours in it but at the same time I wanted those colours to not take too much space on the card so it doesn’t look too full…
So I started with a plain white cardstock for the card base….then I die cut two small polaroid frames from aqua and pink cardstock…I attached a printed yellow and white grid print paper for the aqua frame and added a red punched heart and you word on it….For the pink frame I simply used a white watercolour paper and coloured it in with peerless watercolors…
I attached both the polaroid frames to the card and added a few sequins here and there as well…
Hope you like this card….

Post#90 London Tags using Stampers Anonymous Cityscapes Set

Today I am sharing two tags I made using the cityscapes stamp set….For this project I used the London cityscape stamp…
After die cutting the tags I coloured in the base section with Peerless watercolors…once that was dry I stamped a section of the stamp on both tags…
For one tag I die cut chevron pieces in blue, red and white inspired by the colours of the Union Jack…and I think the word and meaning stamp of “journey’ goes well with it…the red and blue ribbons add the finishing touch to the tag…
For the second tag I simply stamped the word ‘Many Thanks’ and threaded a ribbon through…I also tied a bakers twine on the ribbon…I decided not to add any embellishments on this tag…
Hope you liked these…

I have some printed papers with beautiful watercolour  effects on them and tend to use them quite often and I wanted to try making a similar paper/background for this card using Peerless Watercolours….
To create the first layer of the card I used a chevron stencil on top of the paper and started dabbing in a few different colours on the watercolour paper…I didn’t want it to be perfect so did not bother much about stencilling it perfectly….
Once the watercolour was dry,I heat embossed the sentiment at the top and then attached three punched out banners in various sizes and colours to finish the card…
Hope you liked it…

More often than not, mistakes happen while crafting…sometimes things go horribly wrong and we have to scrap the whole thing and start again…but not before we’ve tried everything we can to salvage the project…
This has been one of those projects for me…I had stamped and coloured in the flowers and added a sentiment as well and was about to adhere it to the card base when I smudged the still wet ink badly…I thought I could hide it with a ribbon or put a die cut sentiment on top to somehow conceal the disaster…but nothing looked good and i had to put it away just so I could come up with a good plan….
And the idea came a few days later…I cut out the undamaged part of card out and placed it on another white card layer that I had embossed with dots…Also this time I stamped carefully and added a few pearls at the top….
Hope you liked the card…
