You Are A Lifesaver

I tried out two new things in the card that I’m sharing today…the first one is clearly visible – its the Altenew 3D Rose Flurries die and the second was texture paste which I mixed with some Distress Ink for the stencilled background…thank you for your help Lois…I wasn’t too sure how I wanted to use texture paste on my cards,so to begin with I’m trying it out to cover the whole background of my card..

Me And My Daily Papercraft Blog - Handmade By Pri

I started by mixing some drops of shaded wilted violet distress ink reinker liquid with some texture paste…I then placed my stencil on a white front panel and then applied a thin layer of the coloured paste over it and removed the stencil and set it aside to dry..

I die cut  all the elements for the front panel next….I die cut the flowers and leaves from different shades of yellow and greens and assembled them and also die cut the alphabets from black cardstock as well as black craft foam using the inline alpha die…
I adhered the front panel to the card base and then added all the die cuts to it…I also stamped the rest of the sentiment on two white banners and adhered them to the card front…

To embellish my card I have added a few Nuvo jewel drops(orange marmalade) and applied some glossy accents over the black die cut alphabets…I also applied some shimmer on the flower and leaves…

Thank you so much for stopping by to take a look at my card….Have lovely & blessed day ahead…!!

Rawr Means "I Love You" In Dinosaur!!

While making the card I’m sharing today,I had a constant smile on my face….and that was not only because these Lawn Fawn dinosaurs are super cute and the sentiment is even sweeter…it was also because this card turned out exactly as I had planned(yay!!)…I did have the coordinating dies for the two stamp sets I used in this card,so that made things a bit easier too…

Me And My Daily Papercraft Blog - Handmade By Pri

I started by creating the background on my front panel with Distress Inks…I have used the following shades – antique linen, squeezed lemonade, wild honey and rusty hinge…I then used border dies and various plain coloured cardstock to create the clouds border for the top and hilly border for the bottom of the front panel…I used a large stitched rectangle die to cut of all the excess and finish off the panel neatly before adhering it to a plain white card base…

Me And My Daily Papercraft Blog - Handmade By Pri

On a separate piece of white cardstock,I stamped the images I wanted to use from the Lawn Fawn ‘Rawr’ and “Critters from the past’ stamp sets and coloured them in using my Spectrum Noir markers…once I die cut and placed all the images on my card front,I stamped the sentiment..

I did not use any embellishments in my card but I did use some glossy accents on the speech bubbly, the hearts and the bows and added quite a lot of white dots using a gel pen…

I am so glad you took a bit of time to visit my blog today..Hope you will have a happy and blessed day ahead..!!

Rainbow Of Wishes

I wanted to make a card that wasn’t occasion specific and could be sent for any happy occasion to wish a loved one….I also wanted it to be a bright and colourful card – my favorite kind of card – as I’m planning to share only Christmas cards for December from my next post onwards…

Me And My Daily Papercraft Blog - Handmade By Pri
I started by cutting a white front panel to size and the using salty ocean Distress ink and the MFT mini cloud edge stencil to create a cloudy background…I then used an edge die to cut out the strips from coloured cardstock scrap pieces for the rainbow…
Once the rainbow pieces were adhered to the front panel,I die cut the word ‘Rainbow’ twice from white cardstock and layered them before adhering them onto the section where I had stamped the rest of the sentiment using black ink…I used my markers to colour every alphabet in the colours of the rainbow..
Me And My Daily Papercraft Blog - Handmade By Pri
I  die cut and adhered a white frame to the front panel and then adhered it to a plain white card base…then on a separate piece of white cardstock,I stamped and coloured in the Hippo image and cut it out and placed him on the rainbow using some adhesive foam squares…I also applied some glossy accents on the hippo image for a bit of shine..and finally I added a few clear confetti sequins to embellish my card..

Thank you for visiting my blog today…I hope you be able to find a few minutes to visit my blog in December when I will be sharing my Christmas cards…have a happy and blessed day today..!!

Sympathy Card – Time Out Challenge #95

I have made a sympathy card for the latest challenge at Time Out Challenges….there was an optional twist of distressing but I decided not to incorporate that for my card…the main flower image of my card is from Mama Elephant Freesias stamp set…

Me And My Daily Papercraft Blog - Handmade By Pri
I die cut the front panel from watercolour cardstock using cross stitched rectangle die and then stamped the flower image using Versamark ink…I heat embossed this with some white embossing powder and masked it with a hand cut paper mask…
I then dabbed some weathered wood Distress Ink on an acrylic block and mixed it with a lot of water and quickly did a kind of a wash all over…I also used the same ink mixed with less water and splattered it over the panel…
Me And My Daily Papercraft Blog - Handmade By Pri

I then removed the mask and coloured in the image using Gansai Tambi watercolors…once dry,I stamped the sentiment using Versafine onyx black ink and adhered the front panel to a plain white card base…

Me And My Daily Papercraft Blog - Handmade By Pri
Instead of adding embellishments to my card,I first used my sparkle marker over the image and then added some glossy accents for a bit of shine and dimension without going over the top..

Thank you so much for stopping by to take a look at my card today…Hope you will have a happy and blessed day today…!!

Camp Create Day 5 – Delightful Die Cutting

So,it’s the final MFT Camp Create activity today…Day 5 is all about Delightful Die Cutting and Stephanie shared a great video and beautiful cards..I decided to keep things quite simple for today’s card…

Me And My Daily Papercraft Blog - Handmade By Pri

I started with a white front panel and sponged on some wilted violet Distress Oxide ink on it and randomly left some places light and some dark(yes,it was intentional)…I then splattered some water on this panel as well as the same ink mixed with a bit of water..

On a separate piece of white cardstock I sponged on the same ink again and splattered a bit of water as well before die cutting the alphabets required for my sentiment..I applied some glossy accents all over the alphabets and once dry,I adhered them to my card front..I did use this white negative panel as a template just like it was shown in the video so it was pretty easy to adhere the alphabets correctly on the front panel…

Me And My Daily Papercraft Blog - Handmade By Pri

For the other half of the sentiment,I used a small black strip of cardstock and stamped the word Birthday on it and then heat embossed it with silver heat embossing powder…I adhered it under the alphabet die cut word using some black craft foam underneath…

And finally I have used a few silver stars and sequins to embellish my card…

For participating in Day 5 of MFT Camp Create I have now earned this final badge as well…

I hope you can see how much fun I’ve had these past few days…Thank you so much for stopping by my blog…Hope you will have a fabulous and crafty day ahead..!!

Birthday Cards Using Acetate

It’s been a very long time since I’ve been planning to try out acetate cards…went through quite a few tutorials by card makers who shared great tips and techniques and felt I should give it a try…so I made two cards…the first one has an acetate panel in the front and the second one has a clear acetate front..

I have used kraft cardstock for my first card….I created a section to place the acetate and then adhered it to the card…I stamped  one sentiment on the card front and another one inside which can been seen through the acetate panel…

On a separate piece of cardstock I stamped three candles and cut them out and placed them on the card…I have also used glossy accents on the flames of these candles for a bit of shine…
To embellish this card I have wrapped a bit of gold string on the front and adhered some punched out tiny circles that seem like confetti which I have added on the inside of this card so they can be seen through the acetate panel…
Me And My Daily Papercraft Blog - Handmade By Pri

My second card has a full acetate front panel…I cut the acetate about half an inch longer than the card front so that once I scored it to size,I would be able to adhere the cardstock I used for the card back to it..

I stamped the little boy holding the large balloon and the sentiment on the panel using Stazon jet black ink…I don’t know if any other ink works on acetate but I know for sure that this one does…

Using Spectrum Noir markers I coloured in the images…you can see on the balloon that it didn’t work too well but it was ok on the small image…

I added a few silver star sequins to embellish this card…

Wishing You A Happy Easter

Happy Easter Everyone….I hope your Easter is filled with hope, peace and brightness…!!

Today I’m sharing another Easter card that I have made using the MFT Somebunny stamp set…I chose a textured light yellow cardstock to create the card base and a plain white top layer…I masked the top layer at an angle and used black ink to stamp the little chick and flower repeatedly in the unmasked section…after removing the mask,I stamped the sentiment using watermark ink and then heat embossing it with gold embossing powder…
Me And My Daily Papercraft Blog - Handmade By Pri

On a separate piece of cardstock,I stamped the bunny, the carrot and a little chick and coloured it in…after cutting them out,I applied some glossy accents on them before adhering them to the card…
You can see the gold embossing a bit better in this close up shot….
Me And My Daily Papercraft Blog - Handmade By Pri
I didn’t want to add any embellishment to this card so decided to colour in one of the chick that I stamped for the background….luckily it was stamped straight.. 🙂
I’m glad you stopped by my blog today…Thank you so much for your visit…Have a wonderful day ahead…!!

You Make Me Oh So Happy

Unless I’m a hundred percent sure that something is completely ruined and cannot be used in any other project,I will not throw it away…it does take a bit more time to figure out a way to incorporate it into a new project but I find this quite fun too….mostly…ha ha..!! 😉

In today’s card I have managed to salvage a Distress ink background panel which I had created for another card but due to a major stamp masking error I couldn’t use it…since there was a good section of that panel which wasn’t ruined, I decided to use for this card…the distress inks that were used for this panel are worn lipstick, salty ocean, twisted citron and picked raspberry…I die cut the panel using a cloud die and placed it on the white top panel of this card using a bit of craft foam…
I stamped, coloured in and cut out the little girl image and placed it on the card….the sentiment has been stamped using watermark ink and heat embossed using a purple embossing powder..and finally I have used a few silver sequins to embellish this card…
Thanks for stopping by to take a look at my card today…Have a happy and blessed day…!!

Faux Shaker Card

I love shaker cards and I have tried a lot of different ways to create them…they do take a bit of time, patience and planning so you can get a good result…so when I saw this card and tutorial last year the Houses Built Of Cards blog,I knew I had to try this one out..It’s a fun and easy Faux Shaker Card and quite easy to make as well…
I have used a plain white cardstock card base and die cut green printed dsp for the first layer…I then die cut a frame using another green printed cardstock and cut out white cardstock a bit smaller than this frame…
On the white panel,I stamped the sentiment and the succulent image and coloured it in…I then applied some glossy accents and sprinkled lots of yellow and pink star sequins on it….had I used some sort of clear sequins etc,I would’ve been able to cover a bit of the stamped images as well…once the glossy accents was dry,I placed the frame on top and adhered this panel onto the card…

For You Card

So today I’m sharing the second card I made using the other ombre watercolour background that I was talking about in my previous post….in the last one I had used warm colours so for this one I chose cool colours grey, blue and purple…
I followed the technique shown by Kristina Werner  for creating the ombre background..it’s a great tutorial and I have been amazed at my results…Kristina is an excellent teacher…
Once dry,I cut the top layer to size and embossed the it using the WRMK embossing folder..I also splattered a bit of white paint for effect….I then adhered this top layer to a plain white card base..
Using the leftover bit of paper from the top layer,I die cut the sentiment and placed it on the middle of the card…then on a separate piece of cardstock,I stamped, coloured in and and cut out the little bunny and flower cart images and placed these on the card as well…
To embellish the card I have used some silver sequins and I have used glossy accents on the images for a bit of shine…
Thanks for stopping by to take a look at my card….Have lovely & blessed day ahead…!!

Make A Wish – Ombre Watercolour Background

I saw this technique to create ombre watercolour background in December last year…most of you who follow Kristina Werner would remember the fabulous set of cards she made on Day 25 of her Holiday Card Series….and it has taken me this long to try it out…she has an excellent tutorial with her post and I was so happy with my results that I made two different ombre backgrounds but chose this  bright one to make a card with first…
I chose a white card base and followed Kristina’s tutorial to create the ombre background on watercolor paper…and the watercolors I have used are Peerless watercolors….once the paint was dry,I splattered some metallic gold  paint on it….I love the shine from the gold paint…and finally I ran the top layer through my cuttlebug to emboss it…
I die cut the words ‘make a wish’ and a few stars using gold foil cardstock and placed them onto the card…
The little fairy has been stamped, coloured in,cut out and covered with a bit of glossy accents before being placed on the card as well…
Thanks so much for visiting my blog today…Happy crafting…!!

Sending A Little Sunshine Your Way

I have made today’s card specifically for entering in the Scrapbook Boutique February 2017 Challenge…I had so much fun making a card for the December 2016 challenge and was waiting for the challenges to restart in this year..
The moodboard this time has a lot of beach/summer pics with lots of yellows and blues…and I really don’t have any stamps, images or dies for that theme so had to go through all my stamps and dies a few times to finally come up with this card….it would be a great card to send to cheer up a friend who is facing the harsh winter chill at the moment(while we have summers in Australia)…
Me And My Daily Papercraft Blog - Handmade Card by Pri
The card base is plain white and the top layer has been cut to size from watercolour cardstock…I then used the puffy cloud border dies and placed them on the top layer and embossed with them so they look like waves…I have used Salty Ocean and Squeezed Lemonade Distress Inks to create the background on the top layer….
I stamped the sentiment on the top layer and heat embossed it using a copper coloured embossing powder…
On a separate piece of cardstock,I first stamped the seal image using Cool Graphite dye ink by Ranger and then re-stamped it using watermark ink and quickly heat embossed it using clear embossing powder…I also stamped the sun and cut it out as well….I placed the sun on the tip of the seal’s nose to look like its balancing a ball…
I’m glad you stopped by to take a look at my card today….you will find all the details of the challenge on the Scrapbook Boutique Blog…Hope you will have a beautiful day ahead…!!

Crazy About You

Well the second month of this year is already here…and it’s going to pass very quickly too…hope you are ready with a few Valentines Day cards by now…if not, then there is still time…
Today I’m sharing another card where I haven’t gone overboard with colours and embellishments…it’s simple but still quite cute…
The card base is plain white and so is the top layer…I have embossed the  top layer using a Heidi Swapp embossing folder(sorry, don’t know what it’s called – pls let me know if you do)…
On a separate piece of cardstock I stamped the little birdies as well as the word crazy…I coloured in and cut out the birds and die cut the word crazy before placing them on the card…I also used glossy accents on them…
Lastly,I stamped  a tiny red heart and the remaining sentiment using red ink directly onto the top layer and my card was ready…
Thank you for your visit today…I’m glad you stopped by my blog…Have a wonderful day ahead…!!
