Congratulations Card

One of my top favorite card maker/ blogger is Virginia Lu…..I love her card making style and all her creations so much…and for today’s card I have been highly inspired by Virginia…

I started by creating the front panel on watercolour cardstock….I applied some Distress Inks on the stamps and used a mister spray to spray some water mixed with a bit of perfect pearls and then stamped onto the paper….this gives such a wonderful watercolour look with a wonderful pearly shine as well…once dry, I adhered this panel to a plain white card base…

I then die cut some fine rectangle frames from black glitter cardstock and adhered then on the front center of my card…then, on a separate piece of cardstock, I stamped the sentiment and decided to split it into two labels…I inked the edges and adhered these label using some craft foam…
To embellish my card I have used some sparkling clear sequins and applied some Nuvo glaze on the sentiment labels..

Make A Wish – Ombre Watercolour Background

I saw this technique to create ombre watercolour background in December last year…most of you who follow Kristina Werner would remember the fabulous set of cards she made on Day 25 of her Holiday Card Series….and it has taken me this long to try it out…she has an excellent tutorial with her post and I was so happy with my results that I made two different ombre backgrounds but chose this  bright one to make a card with first…
I chose a white card base and followed Kristina’s tutorial to create the ombre background on watercolor paper…and the watercolors I have used are Peerless watercolors….once the paint was dry,I splattered some metallic gold  paint on it….I love the shine from the gold paint…and finally I ran the top layer through my cuttlebug to emboss it…
I die cut the words ‘make a wish’ and a few stars using gold foil cardstock and placed them onto the card…
The little fairy has been stamped, coloured in,cut out and covered with a bit of glossy accents before being placed on the card as well…
Thanks so much for visiting my blog today…Happy crafting…!!

Sending A Little Sunshine Your Way

I have made today’s card specifically for entering in the Scrapbook Boutique February 2017 Challenge…I had so much fun making a card for the December 2016 challenge and was waiting for the challenges to restart in this year..
The moodboard this time has a lot of beach/summer pics with lots of yellows and blues…and I really don’t have any stamps, images or dies for that theme so had to go through all my stamps and dies a few times to finally come up with this card….it would be a great card to send to cheer up a friend who is facing the harsh winter chill at the moment(while we have summers in Australia)…
Me And My Daily Papercraft Blog - Handmade Card by Pri
The card base is plain white and the top layer has been cut to size from watercolour cardstock…I then used the puffy cloud border dies and placed them on the top layer and embossed with them so they look like waves…I have used Salty Ocean and Squeezed Lemonade Distress Inks to create the background on the top layer….
I stamped the sentiment on the top layer and heat embossed it using a copper coloured embossing powder…
On a separate piece of cardstock,I first stamped the seal image using Cool Graphite dye ink by Ranger and then re-stamped it using watermark ink and quickly heat embossed it using clear embossing powder…I also stamped the sun and cut it out as well….I placed the sun on the tip of the seal’s nose to look like its balancing a ball…
I’m glad you stopped by to take a look at my card today….you will find all the details of the challenge on the Scrapbook Boutique Blog…Hope you will have a beautiful day ahead…!!

Thinking Of You

Up untill a a few years back, the only plants I could manage not to kill were mainly succulents,a few herbs and a lucky bamboo..not that I didn’t keep trying but it was just how things were…I love all the different types and colours of succulents and they are so great indoors as well…
Jane’s Doodles Cactus stamp set has so many lovely plants and pots images that can be used to make a great variety of cards…I had been looking for this stamp set for a while and finally was able to get it..so many possibilities with this stamp set…
The card base is plain white and I have stamped a border stamp using bright pink ink on one edge of the card base….I then cut watercolor paper to size and stamped the pot and a few succulent plants on it…I then masked the stamped images and splattered a bit of pink distress ink on the top layer..
After removing the mask,I coloured in the images….the sentiment has been stamped on a small pink strip of cardstock and placed on the card…
Thank you so much for visiting my blog today…Hope you will have a happy and crafty day…!

Die-Cut Christmas Poinsettia

Today I’m sharing a card I have made using traditional Christmas colours and a large die cut Poinsettia flower…
The card base is dark brown and the top layer has been cut to size from watercolour paper….I sponged in a few shades of green Distress inks for the background and used a dark green and white watercolour to splatter onto the top layer….once dry,I used an Avery Elle double pierced rectangle die to emboss the top layer…
I die cut all the elements for the Poinsettia flower and leaves and adhered them together before placing them onto the card…I have used my bone folder to curl up the edges of the petals and leaves…
Then using brown glitter cardstock,I die cut the sentiment and placed it on the card and my card was ready…
Thank you for taking the time and visiting my blog today…Hope you will have a wonderful day ahead…Happy crafting…!!

Lots Of Smiles

I have recently bought a small bottle of Pebeo drawing gum in the hope that it will help me do better masking for certain projects like I have seen in a few tutorials by Kristina Werner….to begin with,I tried it out to create a snow background for today’s card…
The card base is plain white and I have die cut watercolour paper to size for the top layer using a stitched rectangle die…I also die cut a small eyelet circle for the top layer…..I then carefully splattered the drawing gum on both using a thin brush and set it aside to dry completely which didn’t take too long so I covered them with Twinkling H20 blue watercolour called Twilight…it really shines beautifully but I am unable to show it in this photograph…
Once the paint was dry,I was able to just rub off the gum using my fingers to reveal bright white spots that look like snow….the Xyron adhesive eraser works better for rubbing off this gum..
On a separate piece of cardstock,I stamped and die cut the cute reindeer by Clearly Besotted….I also die cut a larger eyelet circle from white glitter cardstock for layering…
I heat embossed the sentiment on the top circle…placed it on top of the glitter layer and adhered them both to the top layer…and finally I placed the reindeer in place…
Thank you for taking the time and visiting my blog today…Hope you will have a wonderful day ahead…!!

Wish You The Most Beautiful Day

My colouring might be getting a bit better due to so much practice but I am not at all good at drawing or painting….but that doesn’t stop me from using various colouring mediums in my cards other than inks and/or markers…I have used very basic and cheap watercolours that came in a set of small tubes for creating the background of the cards I’m sharing today….there was absolutely no need for skill or practice and the result was pretty good….
I also got to practice stamping with the Altenew Beautiful Day flower and leaves layering stamps…I think the more I will practice, the better results I will get from these…
Me And My Daily Papercraft Blog - Handmade Card by PriCreated

For both cards I have used a black card base and cut watercolour cardstock to size for the top layer…I then used the watercolour tubes and a flat paintbrush to paint lines on the top layer without picking anymore colour on the brush so that every line is a bit lighter than the one below it…

Then on a separate piece of white cardstock,I stamped the layering flowers and leaves and cut them out and placed them on the top layer….

I stamped the sentiment on a strip of black cardstock using Versamark ink and heat embossed it using white embossing powder….

To embellish the cards I have used Nuvo crystal drops…my friend Lois Wyche had tried out the Nuvo drops and the results were great…hopefully I can do a better job with these next time…

Bright Peonies Thank You Card

I know I’m not very good with paints, but that doesn’t stop me…and I keep going coz I think that’s the only way I can get a bit better…so today I’m sharing a card that I have made using Peerless watercolors….
The card base is plain pink and the top layer has been cut to size using Ranger watercolor paper….on the top layer,I stamped a few peonies using the Altenew peony scroll stamp set using Versamark ink and heat embossed them using a gold embossing powder…I then coloured in the flowers and the background using Peerless watercolors…
Once dry,I placed a thank you word die on the top layer and ran it through my Cuttlebug and carefully removed the die cut word….I used a piece of gold foil cardstock to die cut the same word and then inlaid the gold one on the top layer…
I just punched a couple of hearts from the same gold foil cardstock and used them to embellish the card…
Thanks for stopping by to take a look at my card…Have a very blessed day today…!!

PS Woofers And Tweeters – You’re The Best

The only thing that took a bit of time to make this card was the watercolour smoosh background that needed to dry….once that was done, the card came together pretty quickly….I have used another cute dog image using the Paper Smooches Woofers and Tweeters stamp set…
The card base is plain purple and the top layer has been die cut from watercolour paper using the stitched rectangle die….I then used cracked pistachio distress ink and water to create the smooshed background and quickly dried it with a heat gun…
I cut up strips from four different decorative tapes and adhered them to the top layer….the sentiment is stamped on a silver strip of cardstock and placed just above these tapes…
On a separate piece of white cardstock I stamped and coloured in the little dog image and then die cut it and placed it above the decorative tapes…
Thanks for visiting today…Have a lovely & blessed day ahead….Happy crafting…!!

Paris Cityscape Card

After making a hello card using the Sydney cityscape stamp a few days back,I kept my stamp set on my desk so I could think of something similar(yet different)for another card…I finally chose the Paris cityscape stamp from the set to make this card…

The card base is a very light grey and I have used watercolour paper for the top layer….to create the background I have used four different distress inks…I wanted to give it the effect of the sky after the  sun has set(I tried to!!)…

I then stamped the Paris stamp with Versamark ink and heat embossed it with silver embossing powder…I did the same for the sentiment and the stars stamps…and finally,I punched two hearts from red glitter cardstock and placed them above the sentiment…
