I Thank My Lucky Stars

I have used Mama Elephant’s Shooting Star stamp and dies for today’s card…I really like the sentiments in this set…there are about eight of them..and I have also used a whole lot of tiny stars from this set to emboss over the background…

I cut a white front panel to size and then used some scrap paper and a circle die to create a mask…I used both the positive and negative sections of this mask for my background…I first masked the panel with the negative section and used scattered straw and squeezed lemonade Distress Inks for it and them masked this section to sponge in the rest of the background…I have used salty ocean, blueprint sketch, wilted violet and seedless preserves shades here..I sprinkled some water for effect as well..
I then used a small acrylic stamping block and repeat stamped various tiny stars with Versamark ink and heat embossed them with white embossing powder to create my background …

On a separate piece of white cardstock,I stamped and coloured in the little girl image and die cut it using the coordinating die…I placed it on the yellow circle section of the front panel using some adhesive foam…
I used the banner punch to create a banner for the stamped sentiment and used some adhesive foam tape to stick it to the card front..and finally I have used some silver star sequins in various sizes to embellish my card..

Camp Create Day 5 – Delightful Die Cutting

So,it’s the final MFT Camp Create activity today…Day 5 is all about Delightful Die Cutting and Stephanie shared a great video and beautiful cards..I decided to keep things quite simple for today’s card…

Me And My Daily Papercraft Blog - Handmade By Pri

I started with a white front panel and sponged on some wilted violet Distress Oxide ink on it and randomly left some places light and some dark(yes,it was intentional)…I then splattered some water on this panel as well as the same ink mixed with a bit of water..

On a separate piece of white cardstock I sponged on the same ink again and splattered a bit of water as well before die cutting the alphabets required for my sentiment..I applied some glossy accents all over the alphabets and once dry,I adhered them to my card front..I did use this white negative panel as a template just like it was shown in the video so it was pretty easy to adhere the alphabets correctly on the front panel…

For the other half of the sentiment,I used a small black strip of cardstock and stamped the word Birthday on it and then heat embossed it with silver heat embossing powder…I adhered it under the alphabet die cut word using some black craft foam underneath…

And finally I have used a few silver stars and sequins to embellish my card…

For participating in Day 5 of MFT Camp Create I have now earned this final badge as well…

I hope you can see how much fun I’ve had these past few days…Thank you so much for stopping by my blog…Hope you will have a fabulous and crafty day ahead..!!

Encouragement Card

I have a few stamp sets by MFT which have some really lovely quotes and I keep thinking of ideas to use them in cards…It didn’t take me long to make this card and I was very happy with the result and how easily everything came together…

I chose a plain black cardstock for the card base and cut watercolour cardstock to size for the top layer….on the top layer I have used Gansai Tambi watercolours to create the background…I chose bright blues, green and yellow..once dry,I adhered the card…

On a separate piece of cardstock I stamped the image of the girl on a horse and coloured it in using my Spectrum Noir markers…I then carefully cut it out and placed it on the card…I also adhered a few silver star sequins to the card…
I stamped the sentiment on a white panel and layered it with a black and silver glitter panel behind it…
Thank you for visiting my blog today…Hope you will have a great day ahead….!!

Birthday Cards Using Acetate

It’s been a very long time since I’ve been planning to try out acetate cards…went through quite a few tutorials by card makers who shared great tips and techniques and felt I should give it a try…so I made two cards…the first one has an acetate panel in the front and the second one has a clear acetate front..

I have used kraft cardstock for my first card….I created a section to place the acetate and then adhered it to the card…I stamped  one sentiment on the card front and another one inside which can been seen through the acetate panel…

On a separate piece of cardstock I stamped three candles and cut them out and placed them on the card…I have also used glossy accents on the flames of these candles for a bit of shine…
To embellish this card I have wrapped a bit of gold string on the front and adhered some punched out tiny circles that seem like confetti which I have added on the inside of this card so they can be seen through the acetate panel…

My second card has a full acetate front panel…I cut the acetate about half an inch longer than the card front so that once I scored it to size,I would be able to adhere the cardstock I used for the card back to it..

I stamped the little boy holding the large balloon and the sentiment on the panel using Stazon jet black ink…I don’t know if any other ink works on acetate but I know for sure that this one does…

Using Spectrum Noir markers I coloured in the images…you can see on the balloon that it didn’t work too well but it was ok on the small image…

I added a few silver star sequins to embellish this card…

Hope Your Day Is Magical

“Always be Yourself, unless you can be a Unicorn. Then always be a Unicorn” I read this quote a while ago and loved it…I know they are mythical creatures but there is something so magical, mysterious and happy about them….don’t you think??
For today’s card I chose a berry blue coloured cardstock for the card…I die cut the top layer from watercolor paper using Avery Elle double pierced rectangle die….then using a stencil and a few shades of blue distress inks I created the background for this card…
The Unicorn image I have used is from a stamp by The Greeting Farm called Magical Day…I coloured it in with bright colours and cut it out before placing it on the top layer…
I stamped the sentiment top center and heat embossed it using a purple embossing powder…and finally to embellish this card I have used silver star sequins..
Thanks for visiting my blog today…Have a lovely & blessed day ahead….Happy crafting…!!

Magical Birthday Wishes Card

When I bought the Pixie Dust stamp set by Avery Elle,I already had ideas popping in my brain and had decided to make a bunch of cards to share on my blog…….but I couldn’t resist trying out at least one card for now…. 🙂
The card base is a very light shade of lavender and the top layer is plain white….on the top layer I masked an area and filled the rest with distress ink….leaving the mask on, I placed the star stencil and printed the stars using a dark ink….I also adhered a few star sequins there…
I stamped the little pixie/fairy on a separate piece of white card and coloured it in before cutting it out and placing it on the card….I have also added a piece of purple glitter cardstock after die cutting it with a scalloped border die…and finally I added a banner for the stamped sentiment…
Thanks for visiting today…Happy crafting…!!

Happy Happy Happy Birthday To You Card

I’m sure it happens with most crafters….you think of an idea and get very excited about it….but when you are half way through, things happen and you don’t get the result you had envisioned….at this moment you make a decision either to scrap or salvage….and considering how very costly craft supplies are(in Australia at least),I’m sure most crafters in this situation try their very best to salvage the project….
So here’s how this card went…..I started with a red card base and a white top layer….on the top layer I stamped a few different patterned circle images with versamark ink and heat embossed them using black embossing powder….I noticed that some circles did not emboss properly but it wasn’t a big deal so I carried on and used watercolours to colour in the all the circles….the result wasn’t that great…maybe I should’ve used a single colour…anyways,I decided to carry on and not scrap it…
So I die cut a Vellum sheet using stitched rectangle die same size as the top layer and adhere it using brads on all four corners….I then die cut the happy word 3 times using red glitter cardstock and adhere them to the vellum…then I cut a silver banner and stamped the words ‘Birthday to you!’ on it and adhered it below the happy words…Finally I added a few silver star sequins and my card was complete….
What do you think about this card??Do you like how it turned out in the end??Let me know…

Post#91 Paris card using Stampers Anonymous Cityscapes Set

I am very excited to share my third project using the Cityscapes stamp set…The cityscape stamp I used for this card was of Paris….
For this card I chose a greyish silver glitter cardstock for the card base…I stamped the Paris cityscape on vellum paper and flipped it over to colour in the sky and the buildings with distress inks…then I attached this vellum section to a polaroid die cut…I also attached a glitter banner with a vellum banner on the polaroid frame to add the sentiment…
This card didn’t need much else so I simply attached the polaroid frame to the cards base and added a few silver star sequins to it…
Hope you liked this card as much as I do…Thanks for stopping by to take a look…
