Season’s Tweetings

Doesn’t it feel good when you are able to hear birds tweeting…??I know it’s quite impossible to find a quiet moment in big cities but the birds are there too…and you would probably hear them if you wanted to…
The card I’m sharing today has three very cute little birds…it’s a stamp set from Lawn Fawn called Seasons Tweetings…I got this stamp set quite late last year so wasn’t able to use it then…and because these images are very small,I bought the coordinating die set as well…
I started with a white card base and a die cut watercolour top layer…after sponging some blue and brown distress inks on the top layer,I sprayed the snowflakes embossing folder with water and stamped the top layer with it ans set it aside to dry…
On a separate piece of white cardstock I stamped and coloured in the birds and music notes and then die cut them using the coordinating dies…I also die cut two branches and a few leaves using coloured cardstock scraps..
Using gold foil cardstock and cross stitched rectangle die set,I die cut a frame and placed it on the top layer…I placed the branches, leaves and the birds inside this frame…and finally I stamped the sentiment¬†¬†on a white strip of cardstock and adhered it to the card…
Thank you so much for taking the time to visit my blog today…Have a wonderful day ahead…!!

Post#135 Merry Christmas Green & Red Shaker Card

I made this shaker card using the WRMK fuse tool and a photo pocket…the card is not bulky at all which means that it can be posted normally with no extra postage or special packaging..

I started with a piece of green cardstock 5×12″ and scored the long side at 4″ and 8″….this is so that one section gets folded in to create the backing section for the shaker pocket….which also means that the section between the two score lines would be the front of the card and had to be die cut for the shaker to show through….I also die cut and embossed a thin frame from red card stock to go around the die cut space…

Once the shaker pocket was filled with sequins,I stamped an image of a scarecrow with white ink and attached the pocket at the back of the die cut space and glued in the backing section of the card….all that was left was to attach the stamped sentiment and the card was ready…

I’m quite pleased with how this card has turned out….hope you liked it too…

Post#133 White & Silver Christmas Card

The card I’m sharing with you today was among the first ones I planned to make for the holiday season….I love this cuttlebug snowflake embossing folder and it is probably the one I use most for my Christmas cards…
I started with a white card base and a white embossed top layer….and then I added a silver die cut scalloped circle with a layer of white stitched circle on top….
I die cut the sentiment from silver glitter cardstock and glued it on the top circle…and to finish the card I added a few snowflakes in silver and white…
I am quite happy with this card and it looks pretty elegant too…

A few days after I made the white and silver card, I wanted to try this design out in other colours…..So I made two more cards…..one in red, gold and aqua blue and the other in lavender, silver and aqua blue….and here they are….

Hope you liked all these cards…
