Cards For Sweet Friends

Today I’m sharing two cards that I made with my sweet friends in mind…both cards are very different from each other….while the first one is quite bright and colourful,I tried colouring on kraft cardstock in the second card…
For my first card,I chose a blue card base and a white top layer…I stamped the paint splotches stamp in various colours on the top layer and then placed two die cut hot air balloons on it….I stamped the sentiment on a small piece of white cardstock and added a blue mat under it…finally I added some sequins to embellish the card…

For the second card I chose a Kraft card base and top layer….I stamped the candy stamp repeatedly on the top layer to create the background and then coloured them in using my Spectrum Noir markers and a white gel pen….

Using the ‘sweet’ word die,I die cut it from white cardstock a few times and layered them before placing on the card…then on a blue foil banner,I stamped the rest of the sentiment and placed it above the die cut word….

I have used gold sequins to embellish this card…

Happy Halloween!!

Wishing you a fun filled Halloween with lots of magical surprises…!!
May you get lots of treats that are yummy to eat…!!
Today I’m sharing my very first Halloween card…it’s quite simple since I did not have many supplies  for one but I guess I had to start somewhere…
The card base is plain black and instead of a single top layer I have used two orange mats….on the bottom section I have used a grey cardstock and stamped the tree and adhered googly eyes on them and created a couple of spiders with those as well…
On the top mat I have used a different shade of orange and stamped the sentiment on it…I have adhered two more of the googly eyes here…
Finally I stamped a few monsters from the Lawn Fawn monster mash stamp set onto a piece of vellum and cut them out before adding them to my card…
Thanks for stopping by today…..HAPPY HALLOWEEN…..!!

Paris Cityscape Card

After making a hello card using the Sydney cityscape stamp a few days back,I kept my stamp set on my desk so I could think of something similar(yet different)for another card…I finally chose the Paris cityscape stamp from the set to make this card…

The card base is a very light grey and I have used watercolour paper for the top layer….to create the background I have used four different distress inks…I wanted to give it the effect of the sky after the  sun has set(I tried to!!)…

I then stamped the Paris stamp with Versamark ink and heat embossed it with silver embossing powder…I did the same for the sentiment and the stars stamps…and finally,I punched two hearts from red glitter cardstock and placed them above the sentiment…

Happy Thoughts Your Way Card

I wanted to make a card that could be used for any event or occasion…so I went through all my small stamps and decided to use an envelope stamp to create the background for this card….
The card base is plain pinkish-purple….and I have created the top layer by repeatedly stamping a small envelope stamp on white cardstock using various dye inks….I then masked the envelopes and covered the rest of the white space with distress inks..
I then die cut Vellum for the top layer using the largest of the stitched rectangle die and heat embossed the sentiment using a purple heat embossing powder….I also created a tiny envelope using double sided paper to add on the front of the card…
Finally I used a few sequins to decorate the top layer…these sequins also hide the sticky dots that I have used to adhere the vellum onto the card…
Thanks for stopping by today…Have a lovely & blessed day ahead….Happy crafting…!!

One Layer Cards

Today I’m sharing two cards with you….both are single layered ones and I’ve followed the tutorials printed in the latest issue I received of the Australian Cardmaking Stamping & Papercraft Magazine Vol. 22 No. 9

The first one is on Pg 56 by Cindi Gilfillian…..and she has taught how to mask a larger area on a card front and stamp on rest of the card….

I have used a plain white card base and used a shaped mask to cover one section of the card and then used a lot of large and small flower stamps and bright inks to cover the whole card….

Once the stamping was complete,I simply lifted the mask and stamped the large sentiment with bright red ink…I have also used clear sequins to decorate this card…

Now the second card I tried from this magazine is on Pg 44 by Linda Langes called Hedgehog Balloon….the idea of these cards is to have a plain card front with a bright and colourful scene inside…
I started with a plain white card base and die cut a balloon on the front and stamped a string and adhered the stamped, coloured in and fussy-cut image of a little boy….this die cut section would see through to the inside of the card…
On the inside,I stamped the balloon images with Versamark ink and heat embossed with clear embossing powder….I then covered the whole section with Mustard Seed distress ink…then to make it more colourful,I stamped flowers in various colours…
I die cut the word ‘happy’ from blue foil cardstock and stamped the word ‘birthday’ on red cardstock and placed it on the inside of the card and the card was ready….
I had a lot of fun making these cards and I hope you liked both of them…

Anniversary Birdies Card

I wanted to make a cute Anniversary card and also wanted it to be a bit different from all the Anniversary cards I have made till now…
I started with a plain pink textured card base and a white top layer…..I created the top layer background by dabbing various distress inks on a dots embossing folder and very lightly sprayed water on it and quickly pressed it on the white top layer…
I stamped some clouds and a bird house on printed cardstock, cut them out and placed them on the top layer….I also stamped and coloured two cute little birds and placed them on top of the bird house…
The sentiment is stamped with black ink and I’ve used a few sequins to decorate the card…
Hope you liked this card…

Bright And Wonderful Card

I am quite partial to cute stamps of little girls and when I saw the Gorjuss Mini stamps from Santoro…I went ahead and bought a few….and I’m sure I’l be using them a lot as they are the perfect size for cards or tags…
The card I’m sharing today has a plain white card base and a whie ge top layer as well….On the top layer I have stamped Decorative Tape Pieces by Kaisercraft in various ink colours on one side….and on the the other side I have stamped the sentiment at  the top and placed a coloured in and cut out image near the base…
I have used a few rhinestones to decorate the card….
Hope you liked this card….

Hello Card

Today I’m sharing a simple hello card…I have used light colours but have still managed to brighten it using sequins and rhinestones…
The card base is plain cream colour and the top layer is made from watercolour paper which I have coloured using an aqua brush and lifted colour directly from cheap watercolour pencils…once this was dry,I stamped the flower images at the base…I used a Versamark pen to make dots around and above these stamped images and heat embossed using gold embossing powder(it doesn’t show well in the picture, sorry)…
I added three strips of gold foil cardstock on the top layer and placed a light pink die cut with the stamped sentiment on it….and to decorate the card I have used a lot of gold sequins as well as tiny red rhinestones on the flowers…
Hope you liked this card..

I wonder if all of you have noticed how much I’m using distress inks these days……I don’t have many colours but I still can’t seem to stop using them…Whenever I feel like making a bright card,I automatically reach for them…..and they usually don’t mess or stain anything…much easier to clean  up than stamping ink…
The card base is a plain bright yellow with a black first layer….the top layer is plain white and I have used a circles stencil and distress inks to create the pattern…I have also lightly misted it and that has created very tiny white spots on the pattern….
To make this card a bit different and fun,I stamped and coloured in a seal image and cut it out and instead of placing a ball etc above it’s nose – I have placed a map pin with a heart on it….
The sentiment has been created from yellow cardstock using a banner die and stamp set…..and I have used a few tiny rhinestones to decorate the card….
Hope you liked this card….
