Wreath Turnabout – 2 Cards

I have tried out a couple of turnabout stamps for creating easy and wonderful backgrounds for my cards, but this new wreath turnabout set(Concord & 9th) has a much smaller pattern and there are two of them in the set…my first thought was to create something with copper embossing and that’s what I did for one of my cards…while on the other card I have simply used various Oxide inks to stamp the pattern…

I started by stamping one of the wreaths on black cardstock with some watermark ink and then heat embossing it with copper embossing powder….it has to be rotated 90 degrees after each stamping a total of four times to get this result…I also stamped and heat embossed the sentiment and a small heart in the middle of the wreath…
On the front of a plain black card base,I adhered a copper coloured paper cut to the same size as the card front..I cut the embossed black panel to the size required and added some black craft foam underneath then adhered it to the card front and my card was ready…

For my second card I picked out these shades of Distress Oxide inks to stamp the other wreath in the stamp set – twisted citron, cracked pistachio, peacock feather and evergreen bough…I then added some dots and the sentiment label stamped with aged mahogany…
I didn’t want to add any other colour to my card so I covered the front of the card base with aged mahogany before die cutting the stamped front panel and adhering it to the card base…

These wreath stamps are quite beautiful and versatile…I do hope I can remember to use them to create a few Christmas cards later this year..

You & Me Card

Doesn’t it feel great when you plan out a project and it turns out exactly as you had planned..??It happens to a lot of crafters but my projects don’t necessarily follow my plans…at all..ha ha…but this one surprisingly did…
I started with a silver cardstock base and cut watercolour paper to size before colouring it in with Peacock Feather distress ink…the edges are a bit darker than the center but the photo doesn’t show it that well…
I then used silver foil cardstock to die cut a fancy flourish and placed it on the top layer…then I die cut two hearts from vellum and coloured them in with a light marker and used a white gelly roll pen to create a stitched effect on the edges and placed them above the flourish…
On a silver banner,I stamped the sentiment with Versamark ink and then heat embossed with red embossing powder before placing it above the two vellum hearts…
Finally I decorated the card with small hearts that were die cut from red glitter cardstock using the confetti die by Mama Elephant…
Thanks for stopping by to take a look at my card….Have a lovely & blessed day ahead…!!

Hello( From Australia) Card

The Stampers Anonymous Cityscapes stamp set by Tim Holtz is simply beautiful…I have used them on various projects before but have never had a result like this one….
I started with a plain white card base and cut watercolour paper to size for the top layer….on that top layer I stamped the Sydney cityscape image with Versamark ink and heat embossed it with gold embossing powder….
I coloured in the image with light colours and then coloured in the sky and water using Peerless watercolours….The large word ‘hello’ has been die cut from gold glitter cardstock and I have decorated the card with a few blue sequins…
Thanks for stopping by today…Have a blessed day…!!

Simple Birthday Card

I like outline stamps…and while they are great for colouring in with watercolours, markers or pencils….they are also great as is….especially when you want to create something simple…
While I did want to create a simple card,I also wanted to use colours…so I have used various colours of dye inks to stamp the flowers from my Altenew Peony Scroll stamp set on a white top layer for this card….once the flowers were stamped,I have again used different shades of green and brown inks to fill in the spaces with the leaf stamps in the set…
The background was ready,so I adhered it to the plain purple card base….I have stamped the sentiment on a small purple banner using white heat embossing powder…and I have just used 3 sequins to decorate the card…
Have a happy & blessed day ahead….Happy crafting…!!

Happy Thoughts Your Way Card

I wanted to make a card that could be used for any event or occasion…so I went through all my small stamps and decided to use an envelope stamp to create the background for this card….
The card base is plain pinkish-purple….and I have created the top layer by repeatedly stamping a small envelope stamp on white cardstock using various dye inks….I then masked the envelopes and covered the rest of the white space with distress inks..
I then die cut Vellum for the top layer using the largest of the stitched rectangle die and heat embossed the sentiment using a purple heat embossing powder….I also created a tiny envelope using double sided paper to add on the front of the card…
Finally I used a few sequins to decorate the top layer…these sequins also hide the sticky dots that I have used to adhere the vellum onto the card…
Thanks for stopping by today…Have a lovely & blessed day ahead….Happy crafting…!!

Thinking Of You Card

So I pulled out black cardstock yet again and decided to make a simple card with it….I think the yellow looks vibrant with the black card base….
There is not much to this card…I started with a black cardstock card base….the top layer is made from watercolour paper which has been washed with yellow watercolour….once that was dry,I stamped the foliage stamps using Versamark ink and heat embossed all the images with white embossing powder…
The sentiment is stamped on a black banner using white pigment ink and I have used gold cardstock to die cut a few sequins to decorate the card…
Hope you’ll have a wonderful and crafty day ahead…Happy crafting…

Creative Hands Blog Challenge – Love Birds

Hello…Today’s card is for Creative Hands Friends Challenge Blog.…the blog challenges here run for two weeks and looking at all the entries,I can see that there is a big number of people entering the challenges and having a lot of fun participating in them…
Me And My Daily Papercraft Blog - Handmade by PriCreated
For this card,I started with a gold cardstock card base and then started preparing the top layer….I have used a few different distress inks to create the top layer and then stamped it lightly with an embossing folder spritzed with water(sorry that is not quite visible in the picture)…once it was dry I stamped the sentiment at the top using Versamark ink and gold embossing powder…
I printed out two bird digis for this card – one as is and another one flipped before printing…..then coloured them in and cut out and placed on a branch…and finally I have placed a few heart sequins and tiny rhinestones to finish the card…
The sponsor for the challenge is Cre8tive Hands..there is a great selection of Digi’s at an equally great price so pls check those out…

Sending Blessings Card

Every now and then I go through all my stamps hoping for an idea to pop up or find a stamp I haven’t used in a long time…and today I pulled out these 3D doily stamps that I haven’t used recently….
The card base is plain green and for the top layer I have used watercolour paper….I have just used  one shade of green peerless watercolour to do a kind of a wash to create the background….once the top layer was dry,I stamped the sentiment at the top…
I decided not to stamp the doily stamps directly on the top layer….so I stamped them on a separate piece of cardstock using Versamark ink and then heat embossing them with black embossing powder…then I coloured them in with bright colours and cut them out and placed them on the card using adhesive  foam squares…
To decorate the card I have simply used green rhinestones in various sizes….
Hope you liked this card….

One Layer Cards

Today I’m sharing two cards with you….both are single layered ones and I’ve followed the tutorials printed in the latest issue I received of the Australian Cardmaking Stamping & Papercraft Magazine Vol. 22 No. 9

The first one is on Pg 56 by Cindi Gilfillian…..and she has taught how to mask a larger area on a card front and stamp on rest of the card….

I have used a plain white card base and used a shaped mask to cover one section of the card and then used a lot of large and small flower stamps and bright inks to cover the whole card….

Once the stamping was complete,I simply lifted the mask and stamped the large sentiment with bright red ink…I have also used clear sequins to decorate this card…
Me And My Daily Papercraft Blog - Handmade Card by PriCreated
Now the second card I tried from this magazine is on Pg 44 by Linda Langes called Hedgehog Balloon….the idea of these cards is to have a plain card front with a bright and colourful scene inside…
I started with a plain white card base and die cut a balloon on the front and stamped a string and adhered the stamped, coloured in and fussy-cut image of a little boy….this die cut section would see through to the inside of the card…
On the inside,I stamped the balloon images with Versamark ink and heat embossed with clear embossing powder….I then covered the whole section with Mustard Seed distress ink…then to make it more colourful,I stamped flowers in various colours…
I die cut the word ‘happy’ from blue foil cardstock and stamped the word ‘birthday’ on red cardstock and placed it on the inside of the card and the card was ready….
I had a lot of fun making these cards and I hope you liked both of them…
Thanks for stopping by…

Post#193 – Distress Inks Lifting Technique Card

Whenever I learn something new from a tutorial,I usually do a trial and then plan out the actual project…today’s card was a trial which turned out pretty great so I went ahead and finished the card with it…
I have followed a tutorial by Jennifer McGuire in which she teaches the Distress Inks Lifting Technique
So I have white heat embossed the image, then covered the whole top layer liberally with dusty concord distress ink…with a brush and water,I painted the inside of the flowers, stems and leaf….this lightened the colour and once dry I painted in the flowers with picked raspberry and the stems with mowed lawn distress ink….
I heat embossed the sentiment with white heat embossing powder as well….rounded two corners of the top layer and the card base….and decorated the card with a few adhesive white pearls…
If you like playing with distress inks then you should try this technique as well….

Hope you liked my card….

I love the versatility of distress inks….they blend so well and also react with water/liquids to create a great dimension to any design…
For today’s card, I started with a white plain cardstock base…The top layer is also white but has been coloured in with bright distress inks…once it was fully covered,I misted an embossing folder with a water filled spritzer and quickly stamped the top layer and dried it with a heat gun…then stamped the sentiment and used gold heat embossing powder for it…….I also added two thin strips of glitter cardstock at the base of the top layer before adhering it to the card base….
I stamped and coloured in the image of a little girl on a separate piece of cardstock and then cut it out….I have used adhesive sponge squares underneath the image to make it pop up on the card….and finally I have added quite a few sequins to decorate the card…
Hope you liked this one…

I’ve had this stamp set called Bubblegum Hills by Kaisercraft for a verrrryy long time but I haven’t used it at all…every time I got the stamps out, I put them back as I had no idea what to create with it….and today I’ve finally put them back after using one of the stamps in the set…
The card base is plain blue…For the top layer I have used distress inks to create a bright background….I then stamped the image with Versamark ink and heat embossed it with white embossing powder…
The sentiment is stamped on a green banner and heat embossed as well…I did not want to add any more colours to this card so I used clear sequins to decorate it….
Hope you liked it…

I love how this gift bag turned out so I’m really happy to share this with you today….
I have followed the tutorial by the fabulous Sam Donald and made this gift bag…It’s a huge one and can hold heaps of stuff….Here’s the link for her tutorial – It’s My Party Huge Bag
Now I had to change the top folding part in the video….and that was because Sam has used a double sided paper which looks really pretty when folded out at the top….but I’ve used one sided printed paper and didn’t want the plain white to show outside….so I’ve simply skipped that step, and folded the top part downwards and tied a string around it…
I have used two shades of green cardstock for the front panel….the top panel has a gold heat embossed message….and to decorate the panel I have punched out and adhered three small flowers from peach cardstock…
Hope you like my version of the bag…
