Colourful Congratulations Card

Today I am sharing a colourful card that took next to no time to create….all I had to do was to repeat stamp the large sentiment a few times…I was going to call it the rainbow card but my daughters pointed out that the colours Yellow and Indigo are missing so it doesn’t have all the rainbow colours…kids these days…ha ha… 🙂
I started with a bright yellow card base and a white top layer….I chose the word ‘congratulations’ from the Avery Elle Sentimental stamp set and repeat stamped it in 6 different colours…I then adhered the top layer to the card base…
On a separate piece of cardstock I stamped, coloured in and cut out the little girl image and placed it on the card….I have used clear sequins in various sizes to embellish the card…
Do you like simple and quick cards??I like them a lot….
Thanks for stopping by today to take a look at my card…Have a blessed day ..!!

Hello Card

Today I’m sharing a simple hello card…I have used light colours but have still managed to brighten it using sequins and rhinestones…
The card base is plain cream colour and the top layer is made from watercolour paper which I have coloured using an aqua brush and lifted colour directly from cheap watercolour pencils…once this was dry,I stamped the flower images at the base…I used a Versamark pen to make dots around and above these stamped images and heat embossed using gold embossing powder(it doesn’t show well in the picture, sorry)…
I added three strips of gold foil cardstock on the top layer and placed a light pink die cut with the stamped sentiment on it….and to decorate the card I have used a lot of gold sequins as well as tiny red rhinestones on the flowers…
Hope you liked this card..

Today I’m sharing a card that can be given for any special occasion….it can be for a birthday or an anniversary or any other happy event….
The card base is plain yellow….and the top layer has been created using four different distress inks and blending them slightly on a watercolour cardstock…
To decorate the four corners of the top layer I cut two squares out of gold glitter cardstock and cut them diagonally to create these triangular corners…In the middle I have a die cut frame from the same cardstock…the sentiment has been stamped on a yellow piece and die cut and adhered in the middle of the frame..
I used a gold metallic marker to colour in the tiny adhesive pearls that have used as the only embellishments on the card….the glitter cardstock makes it quite attractive and I did not want it to clash with other types of embellishments…
Hope you liked this card…

Post#152 Black & Colourful Birthday Card

Black cardstock has always been a bit tricky for me to make cards from….something or the other usually goes wrong…especially while stamping….So this time I managed to make a black card with no mistakes….mainly because I did not use stamps on it… 🙂 🙂
The card base and top layer has been rounded on two corners only….and on the top layer I have added strips of brightly coloured paper made by using Peerless watercolors…
The sentiment has been die cut from green glitter cardstock and adhered to the card…..I have added sequins in various sizes all over the card as well…
Even though it’s a black card,I feel it looks really bright and colourful…Hope you like it as much as I do…

Post#144 DIY Background Birthday Card

This card was so much fun to create…..mainly the background….all you need is some water soluble colour and a drinking straw…and very soon you will have one of a kind background ready for your card…
I used Peerless watercolors and a Pentel Aquash water brush…after picking up the colour I wanted,I dropped a few drops of colour on the card..it’s easier with the water brush….and then the fun started…I took a drinking straw and blew air over these droplets….very soon the water started running/spreading in all directions…I did the same with 2-3 more colours…
Since the background is the hero of this card,I did not want to hide it under unnecessary embellishments,so I simply adhered a die cut word ‘happy’ from gold cardstock and stamped the word ‘birthday’ under it…
There is a layered gold and orange butterfly and a couple of tiny ones on the card…on one side is a strip of gold and red cardstock…
This is a fun technique to try with kids…you could even create your own wrapping paper this way…
Hope you liked this card…

Post#142 Dream Catcher Encouragement Card

Dream catchers seem to be pretty popular these days…. I see them in stores everywhere…also in print on cloth, bags, shirts and papers…and stamps too….

On a brown cardstock base, I have attached a watercolour paper top layer which has been prepared using some peerless watercolors, and once that was dry I used a couple of stencils to print over it randomly….I also adhered a strip of printed glitter cardstock on one side…

On a separate piece of paper I stamped the dream catcher stamp and coloured it in a bit before cutting it out and placing it on the card…I then stamped the ‘Dream BIG’ stamp above it and added a few clear sequins on the card…

Hope you liked it…..
